  1. Can you please provide any evidence? Bhul chuk maaf
  2. As mentioned in the post, it's an opinion. It seems logical to me. Do you have any other insights on this topic? If so, please do share them. Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  3. Waheguru is the strongest one-word mantar. You cannot compare mantars which have multiple words to a single word mantra. Waheguru can be compared to mantars like Ram, Hari, Om, Allah, Gobind, etc. You cannot compare a Brahamgyani chanting Har Mantar to a Jagaysu chanting the Waheguru mantar. There is a huge gap in the level of consciousness of the two. The comparison has to be done by the same healthy person (of a certain avastha) chanting different mantras and thus figuring out which one has the most impact on him or healthy people of similar avasthas*, chanting different mantars and then analyzing on who is moving ahead faster in the spiritual realm. For Jagayasus, Waheguru (single word) and Mool Mantar (multiple word) are the best Mantars. * - those people must also be Rehatvaan (for Sikhs) or have a PLM (for non-Sikhs). Also, the quantity/quality of their Paralabd and Sanchit karams must be similar. Bhul chuk maaf
  4. ਤਖੱਲਸ - Pen-name Bhul chuk maaf
  5. The Janamsakhi refers to a Saint by the name of Sant Ren jee. He was the leader of the ascetics/saints who were fed food by First Master (when he was a child), when his father told him to go do Sacha Sauda. Sant Ren can also be used as a ਤਖੱਲਸ (pen name) by some people. There was a Saint by the name of Sant Ren Baba Daya Singh jee, who passed away recently. Bhul chuk maaf
  6. Even this interpretation might be right. 8 more gurus. First 4 in the human form: Sixth Master Seventh Master Eighth Master Ninth Master Tenth Master The next 4 as follows: Satguru Sri Aad Guru Granth Sahib jee Maharaaj Sri Dasam Guru Granth Shaib jee Sri Sarabloh Guru Granth Sahib jee Khalsa Panth (5 Pyare) Bhul chuk maaf
  7. Based on Mahan kosh, Jug can refer to four. Another interpretation (possibly a wrong one) could be: Eight more Gurus will come to earth (yug 4, yug 4 i.e. 4+4 =8) Is there any cult which claims that there will be 14 gurus in total? What do the Naamdharis say? Bhul chuk maa
  8. Based on Mahan kosh, Jug can refer to four. So, maybe the arth of the above verse could be: In this yug (first ਜੁਗਿ ), four (second ਜੁਗਿ) more Satgurus will take avtaar. Bhul chuk maaf
  9. According to Mahan Kosh, Yug means ਜੋੜਾ, which indicates a couple (two). Interestingly, it can also refer to the number 4. ਚਾਰ ਸੰਖ੍ਯਾ ਬੋਧਕ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯੁਗ ਚਾਰ ਮੰਨੇ ਹਨ। Bhul chuk maaf

  18. In the katha below, Gyani Avtar Singh jee Badnikalan wale narrates an historical anecdote from the life of Sri Satguru jee (First Master). A Sakat person came and asked Maharaaj, why do these people (Sangat) come to you? Maharaaj told him to stay with them to understand the reason behind it. This sakhi will illustrate, how perception of a human changes with his rise on the spiritual ladder. 19. The Har mantar is already incorporated within the Waheguru Mantar (making the Waheguru mantar much stronger than the Har Mantar). The Vaheguru mantar is made of four letters V - Represents Vasudev Mantar H - Represents Har Mantar G - Represents Gobind Mantar R - Represents Ram Mantar Bhul chuk maaf

  21. Another Jaap, which one should avoid doing excessively is that of "Ik Ooankaar". There was a Singh who passed away as he used to do excessive jaap of this mantar. His body could not handle the prakash of this mantar. This was mentioned in katha by Gyani Thakur Singh jee. "Sohang" translates to "He is me", indicating that "I AM GOD". Well, it describes the essence of reality, but for Jagayasus it can have a negative effect. Most Jagayasus (their minds) are contaminated by Ego/pride. Just imagine, a person who is infected by Ego doing excessive jaap of this mantar. This would possibly lead to inflation of his ego rather than its decimation, which is the purpose of human life. Most spiritual men (especially Gurmukhs) will understand this point. Coming to Gurbanis, excessive Paaths of Sri Chandi de Vaar might not be suitable for all. The excessive jaap of this Gurbani can produce immense amounts or BIr ras. Some people might not be physically/mentally prepared to handle such high energy levels. There is a reason why Maharaaj has chosen specific mantars for us, i.e. Gurmantar (Waheguru) and Mool Mantar (and specific Gurbanis as Nitnem). We should try to stick to them as much as possible. It's a good idea to consult a Gurmukh Mahapurakh (preferably a Brahamgyani) before doing any other jaaps. @angy15 - How about you ask a Gurmukh Mahapurakh, if you are really interested in doing plenty of jaap of the Har mantar? Bhul chuk maaf
