  2. ਵਡੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਾ ਵਡੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ॥੧॥ (Ang 300) O my Great Lord and Master, great is Your glorious greatness. ||1|| Bhul chuk maaf
  3. That's brilliant. So, the two wives represent the king (Chitar Singh) and the prince (Hanuwant Singh). The prince is aware of the situation, but the king is blinded by his attachment to the queen (Chitar Mati). Bhul chuk maaf
  4. Daas can reply to this point of yours, but if done, we would go off-topic then. Maybe we can discuss this in a separate topic in the future. Bhul chuk maaf
  5. Well, that is how the Almighty God (Tenth Master) taught his Sikhs or at least that was very close to this. If you are not impressed by it, then Daas would like to reiterate what you had said in a different topic to me. "The sooner you can make peace with this order of God the better." Bhul chuk maaf
  6. ਗੁਲਕਾਰੀ - Painting Bhul chuk maaf

  9. The name of the favorite wife is Asman Kala, which means "the one with incomparable power". The name of the other one is not mentioned. But, my guess is that this wife is smarter or has certain good qualities compared to the other one, even though both of them are beautiful. The King might have done this to empower Asman Kala. He is trying to show her that I like you so much that I can make love (have sex) with you with the other wife present nearby. In this way, he might be trying to win her heart and confidence. A similar situation might come up at a workplace. A supervisor might praise an employee in front of other employees to win his trust and confidence. His motive might be show the employee that I like you more than the others. Obviously, he could do this in a closed-door meeting, but doing it in the open, in front of other employees might be more effective. Bhul chuk maaf
  10. ਰਹਮ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥੪॥੩॥ (Ang 724) By Your Mercy, may I find peace; this is Nanak's lasting prayer. ||4||3|| Bhul chuk maaf
  11. One verse which stands out in this Charitar is ਸਰਨਾਗਤ ਦੀਜਤ ਨਹੀ ਇਹੈ ਬਡਨ ਕੀ ਰੀਤਿ ॥੧੦॥ Isn't it a tradition among the great people/elders to protect the people who come under their sanctuary The wise minister might be conveying to the king that you, as an elder, are suppose to protect your son. Likewise, as a king, you are mean't to protect your kingdom, not destroy it by killing the heir to the throne. Bhul chuk maaf
  12. ਜਾਂਚ - Inspection/Audit/Investigation/Inquiry Bhul chuk maaf
  13. UWaterloo is in Ontario (Canada), not in the US. Which college do you go to? Are you in the US or Canada? Bhul chuk maaf

The below verse (a different Paath) would indicate that he did indeed have sex with the lady. ਤਿਨ ਵਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਸੌ ਭੋਗਨ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥ Later, he realized his mistake and decided to leave. There are times when humans realize their blunder, after they have committed a sin. Can the next line be possibly translated as below? ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਉਠਿ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਤ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ਨਾਰਿ ॥ He took the name of Ram Naam and decided to leave after enjoying with the lady. Bhul chuk maaf
  24. Maybe this Charitar has multiple interpretations. Case 1 - A Pandit invited by the rich lady to her house Case 2 - Abduction of a simpleton by the rich lady Both cases can be related back to the base tale. Bhul chuk maaf
  25. ਸਭਿ ਤੁਧੈ ਪਾਸਹੁ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਨਿਤ ਕਰਿ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥ (Ang 85) All beg of Thee for alms and each day make supplication. Bhul chuk maaf
