  1. Bro, there is one for sure. It is written by Dr.Rattan Singh Jaggi. Please check it out (Volumes 4 and 5): http://www.gurmatveechar.com/literature?browse=Steeks_and_Teekas/Sri_Dasam_Granth_Steeks_and_Teekas/Rattan_Singh_Jaggi Most likely, there is another one by Pandit Narain Singh jee Lahore wale. Bhul chuk maaf
  2. Bro, do you know of someone who has done Katha of these Charitars? Most likely, there are no audio recordings of the complete Katha of Sri Charitropakhian Sahib jee available to us. Bhul chuk maaf
  3. @Xylitol - Paaji, can you please provide your insights too? In the past, you had made a topic on this Gurbani. Bhul chuk maaf
  4. Daas needs help brother from you and other Singhs. If we all work together and think deeply on this subject matter, then maybe we can come up with some great explanations. Sangat is very powerful - Maharaaj dee kala vartay gee sangat vich. Bhul chuk maaf
  5. @BhagatSingh - Bro, can you please do a detailed analysis of this Charitar? Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  6. One possible explanation could be to reaffirm our faith in this Gurbani. If this Gurbani was a human's work, how come that mischievous person missed writing one Charitar, after mentioning in Sri Chaupai Sahib jee that 405 Charitars have been completed? That person would have made sure that 405 Charitars are written. Baba Mani Singh jee could not find one Charitar. It was possibly lost during the siege of Sri Anandpur Sahib, along with other artifacts. Anyways, Daas could be wrong as Samurai Paaji heard something else from Gyani Mehtab Singh jee, who is a scholar. Bhul chuk maaf
  7. Chatanga1 Paaji - Are you referring to the line below? "Dasam Katha Bhaagaut kee Bhaakhaa Karee Baneye" If it is, this line is in Sri Rehraas Sahib jee (Nanaksar Maryada). Most likely, Nihangs read it too. It is not present in Pothis published by DDT. Bhul chuk maaf
  8. Gurparsaad, will provide examples. Please give me sometime. Bhul chuk maaf
  9. Bro, there are reasons behind it. Women are emotional beings On average, men can keep secrets/confidential information better than women On average, women gossip/talk more than men, which implies a greater chance of leaking information They go through mood swings/menses, which can affect their mental clarity/concentration You have more knowledge of biology than me. You should know this better than me. The Singhs, who wrote Rehatnamay, were Sants/Brahamgyanis too. Bhul chuk maaf
  10. Which translation brother? The one which says not to entrust a secret to women? Bhul chuk maaf
  11. The names used in this Gurbani are also profound. Examples of two names used by Maharaaj in the Charitars: Sehaj Kala, which can possibly mean: the one who has achieved Turiya avastha peaceful person patient person knowledgeable person negotiator Anuraag Mati, which can possibly mean: the one who has love in her heart for God affectionate person attached to family/friends In this Charitar, the name of the lady is ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਚਛੁਮਤੀ. Any ideas on what it could mean? Bhul chuk maaf
  12. Baba Chaupa Singh jee was a beloved Sikh of Sri Satguru jee. He did Darshan of four Masters. He was the male-nurse of Tenth Master. His name before Baptism (by Khanday wala Amrit), was Bhai Chaupat Rai jee. Bhul chuk maaf
  13. Bro, there is a Gurudwara in Wilmot (near Kitchener). Daas is pretty sure that you must be going there. There is good amount of Sangat there. Is there any other Gurudwara in Waterloo/Kitchener area? Bhul chuk maaf
  14. Does anyone know what the word ਚਛੁ means Bhul chuk maaf
  15. The Gurmukhi version is below: ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਤਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਜੁਹਾਰ ॥੩॥ Another meaning - She would greet men (irrespective of their high or low caste/status) on a daily basis. This possibly indicates She had a gregarious nature She had cordial relations with many people Even people of high caste liked her Bhul chuk maaf
  16. Bro, it does not mention about marriage. Another fact mentioned is that she was a daughter of a ਗ੍ਵਾਰ. This word can mean - fool or an illiterate. This could possibly suggest: She was uneducated Her father was a fool and did not know about her daughters illicit sexual activities. Bhul chuk maaf
  17. Relax Shera..........there is plenty more in this Charitar. Please give me sometime. Bhul chuk maaf
  18. As far as Daas remembers, Srimaan Shaheed Baba Mani Singh jee Maharaaj was only able to collect 404 Charitars. He could not find one Charitar. He mentions about the missing Charitar in his letter to Mata Sahib Kaur jee. Bhul chuk maaf
  19. A big name missing in the above list is Vidya Martand Srimaan 108 Sant Gyani Amir Singh jee Khalsa Sato kee Gali wale, who was the head of Amritsari Taksaal. Baba jee is the record holder for the maximum number of completed Kathas of SSGGSJM, done by any person. Baba jee did the complete katha 60 times during his lifetime. Daas is not sure, as to how many times he completed the katha of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib jee. The routine at both the Taksaals, Bhindran and Amritsar, was to do katha of SSGGSJM in the morning, Katha of SDGSJ in the afternoon and Katha of Ithehaas (History) in the evening. Therefore, most likely, Baba jee must have completed the Katha of SDGSJ multiple times. Bhul chuk maaf
  20. Bro, one Charitar is missing. Where did you hear that it was left out? Bhul chuk maaf
  21. Bro, have you gone for hunting in Canada? Bhul chuk maaf
  22. Sister, what do you think are the odds that she can win a formal debate (on Sikhism) with the likes of Bhagat Singh jee, etc. IMHO, close to zero. if not zero. Even a kid can come on this forum and keep repeating the same arguments over and over again. Silence does not always indicate weakness; it can be an attribute of a wise human too. Bhul chuk maaf
