  1. Can someone please provide information, regarding the use of hair(kesh) in black magic? Some idiots have used black magic in the past, to trouble innocent people. Request - If someone does not believe in this concept, please stay away from this topic or start a new topic on it. Daas is also not interested in listening to opinions of scholars, associated with Missionaries. Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  2. Thanks bro. Please do provide more info, if you discover more. Bhul chuk maaf
  3. Thanks paaji for the flow chart. Good info. Dhan Guru Nanak.......tu heen Nirankaar. Bhul chuk maaf
  4. Guest jee, do ardaas (supplication) to Satguru jee (God) at amritvela on a daily basis. Ask for forgiveness, for all sins committed to date. Don't repeat those sins again. Get baptized. Satguru jee has promised that whosoever gets baptized, lord will forgive all his previous sins, if those sins are not repeated again. What do you mean by that? Daas is not a scholar, so might not be able to help you with that. Bhul chuk maaf
  5. Bro, let's not go into personal details. Please focus on the greatness of the greatest - Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Rai Dev Bedi jee Maharaaj. Bhul chuk maaf
  6. Sikhism is the fastest lane as Satguru jee has given us the most powerful mantars, that have ever existed. Obviously, a person needs love and belief in heart, for them to work. For example - Let's say, there are two people; one is a Sikh (SSGGSJ as guru) and other follows some other guru (for example - Babu Sawan Grewal). Both have the same amount of love and belief for God, their personal lives are pure and they spend the same amount of time on meditation. There is no doubt that the Sikh will attain salvation first. Bhul chuk maaf
  7. Good point chatanga paaji. Seeker jee - Why focus so much on gender roles? There are many more concepts for you to explore, in Sikhism. Reality check - If you want to attain salvation at the fastest rate, Sikhism is the deal. Bhul chuk maaf
  8. Gurmat rules cannot be changed to accommodate people's opinions and viewpoints. For example, homosexuals can demand to get married in Gurudwaras (Sikh temples). This cannot be allowed, as it is contrary to Sikh principles. Similarly, feminism has no place in Sikhism. Please watch the video, in the link below. http://www.sikhawareness.com/topic/16836-girl-destroys-feminism-in-3-minutes-feminism-gone-crazy/#comment-150577 Bhul chuk maaf
  9. Bro, doesn't Kateeb refer to the four granths - Bible (Injeel), Torah, Zabur and Quran? Bhul chuk maaf
  10. Neetu jee, Satguru jee says: ਪਰ ਕਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਨ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਚੀਤ ॥ Do not harbor evil intentions against others in your mind, ਤੁਮ ਕਉ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਭਾਈ ਮੀਤ ॥੩॥ and you shall not be troubled, O Siblings of Destiny, O friends. ||3|| Having said the above, it is natural that some bad thoughts do arise in mind regarding other people. When such thoughts come in your mind, immediately start thinking about God or start reciting Gurbani or start thinking about something else. Don't let that bad thought stick in your mind. Don't agree with it. As long as you don't convert that bad thought into action, it will remain a very minute sin. These types of sins will be easily forgiven, if one sincerely apologizes to Satguru jee. That is why, it is very important to ask for forgiveness from God and keep praying on a daily basis. Also, remember not to repeat any mistakes again. Try to improve in life. God knows that we are humans and are prone to errors. The power of Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev jee Maharaaj converted murderers, robbers, perverts, etc into Saints. Maharaaj can easily forgive big sinners, if one repents. Bhul chuk maaf
  11. Can someone please provide more details about witches? There are references to witches in Gurbani. ਹਮ ਕਉ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਪਰੈ ਤ੍ਰਖਿ ਡਾਇਣਿ ॥੩॥ She appears to me like a blood-thirsty witch. ||3|| ਤ੍ਰਖਿ ਡਾਇਣਿ - Also refers to a witch, who comes flying on a bird. Request - Daas is not interested in listening to opinions of scholars, associated with Missionaries. Please stay away, if you don't believe in this concept or start a new topic on it. Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  12. Has anyone heard of the encounter between Kala jee (Narad muni jee's wife) and first master? She came in the form of a witch, to trouble Satguru jee. Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  13. Bro, here is a scientific reason behind it too. Quote The rule regarding the sitting place for meditation is being given by Lord Krishna. The word sucau means clean and sanctified and that is the conditions to begin. The reason why a deer skin or tiger skin or other skins are used is because when one sits upon them poisonous creatures such as scorpions and snakes do not like to wander upon such skins and thus will not bite when one is in meditative trance performing yoga or the science of the individual consciousness attaining communion with the ultimate consciousness Unquote [1] [1] - http://www.bhagavad-gita.org/Gita/verse-06-11.html Dhan Dhan Bhagwaan Krishan jee Maharaaj Dhan Dhan Dhan Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Rai Dev Bedi jee Maharaaj Bhul chuk maaf
  14. Bro, it is a historical event (Sri Hanumaan jee receiving a Kachera from Sri Ram Chander jee Maharaaj). There is also a historical event associated with kara. Shivjee Maharaaj gave kara to his devotee, who was a demon. He had done Bhagtee of Shivjee Maharaaj. Bhul chuk maaf
  15. Request to Sangat - Let's stay on topic...please. Bhul chuk maaf
  16. Bhai Randhir Singh jee had one point common with Bhasauriye - Doubt on Sri Raagmala Sahib jee. That is why, one cannot put Bhai saab jee in the same category as Baba Nand Singh jee/Baba Isher SIngh jee, Bhindranwale Babay, etc. Bhul chuk maaf
  17. It is a fact that no female ever became a Satguru of Sikhs (topmost position), even though the first Sikh in history was a female, Bebe Nankee jee (Sister of first master). One can even question that. Additionally, if someone has so much problem with 5 pyaray only being men, then how come they don't have a problem with all Satgurus as males? Topmost position in Sikhism was the Satguru, who were all males. Now that authority is with Panj Pyaray, who are suppose to be males. It makes sense. Bhul chuk maaf
  18. Excellent point bro. The above is a clear indication that if one lives in a dera, then he will have to do a lot more Bhagtee (meditation), than a householder. For example, if a householder is able to dedicate 3 hours of his day for Bhagtee, then a singh in a jatha, should at least be doing 6 hours of Bhagtee daily. Bhul chuk maaf
  19. Bro, try listening to this and gauge how much you understand. It is by Gyani Kulwant Singh jee. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h591QCvh368 Bhul chuk maaf
  20. Is there any direct or indirect reference to Hazrat Isa jee Maharaaj aka Jesus Christ in Gubani (including SDGSJ)? Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  21. Did puratan(old) Sikhs collect all their dead hair(Kesh) and burn them? If yes, what was the reason? Can someone please explain? Did they also burn their nails? Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  22. Spelling errors, formatting errors, etc. Bhul chuk maaf
  23. Bro, even if the above is true, Srimaan Amar Shaheed Baba Mani Singh jee Maharaaj was also the head of DDT. When Baba jee was martyred, Daas does not think, any other Singhs of his jatha were martryed along with him. DDT could have continued their lineage through him. The Amritsari Taksaal still exists today. Bhul chuk maaf
  24. Sister, please have a look below: http://www.sikhawareness.com/topic/16858-thirteen-reforms-of-panch-khalsa-diwan-bhausarias/#comment-150928 Maleech means a neech (dirty) person. Bhul chuk maaf
