  1. If a male starts distrusting all women, then the weakness is in him, not Gurbani. Bhul chuk maaf
  2. Do you know, what the words "Charitar" and "pakhian" mean? Have you done your research properly? Bhul chuk maaf
  3. Read Gurbani tuks above and you will find your answer. Gurbani has warned women too. One needs plenty of knowledge of Gurbani, before one can start to understand Sri Charitropakhian Sahib jee. Bhul chuk maaf
  4. The charitars are not very descriptive, if we look at today's times, where so much porn is available. Bhul chuk maaf
  5. Correct me if I am wrong, there are certain charitars which warn women, about men too. Have you read the entire Gurbani or not? Bhul chuk maaf
  6. If she does, then she is a patit. Anyways, let's stay on topic. Bhul chuk maaf
  7. So according to your line of thinking, the below tuks from SSGGSJ, portray men as perverts and cheaters. In the below tuks, it talks about men and not women. Why is it biased? Behind closed doors, hidden by many screens, the man takes his pleasure with another man's wife. When Chitr and Gupt, the celestial accountants of the conscious and subconscious, call for your account, who will screen you then? They spy on other men's women, concealed in their hiding places. The impurity of the eyes is to gaze upon the beauty of another man's wife, and his wealth. You gaze upon the wives of others, O my soul; you steal and commit evil deeds. Those men who go out to enjoy other men's women shall suffer in shame. Bhul chuk maaf
  8. The authenticity is only questioned by cultists. Most of the orthodox sects don't question it. Therefore, in a sense, there is no authenticity issues. Bhul chuk maaf
  9. Bro, non-amritdharis are patit according to Gurmat. Harnaam Kaur is an amritdhari. Patits can shave as much as they want. Bhul chuk maaf
  10. A dumb person like me, can also see the moral of the story above. First teaching -- Don't blindly follow any person, even if the person is a highly educated one (physician in this case). Second teaching - To remove curses, don't go anywhere else. Read Gurbani to remove them, rather than seeking physicians. Third teaching - Bestiality exists. It is very much possible that some innocent Sikhs of that time, were not even aware of bestiality. There might be many more teachings from it, in addition to the deeper meanings of this tale. Btw, I am not saying that my spiritual level is higher than yours. So, please don't get personal. Bhul chul maaf
  11. Bro, cutting kesh is a cardinal sin for both, males and females. Bhul chuk maaf
  12. Gurbani is above all sources and it clearly prohibits meat eating. Bhul chuk maaf
  13. The intent is very clear. Don't think of all women as innocent and harmless beings. It was important to reveal this aspect of women as some people might assume women to be innocent and harmless beings, but not all are. If there was no Sri Charitropakhian Sahib jee, there was a possibility that innocent Sikhs males would respect all women too much and might end up being puppets in the hands of immoral/characterless women. Bhuk chuk maaf
  14. Sri Charitropakhian Sahib jee is well ahead of its times. I agree at that time, females were not very dominant in society. In today's world (some parts), females are getting freedom and power. Now, people will realize the greater significance of this Gurbani. Satguru jee is all-knowing of the future, not ordinary human like me or you. Bhul chuk maaf
  15. Who said the above? Please be aware that you are on a public forum. Everyone, including me should be responsible while posting. Bhul chuk maaf
  16. It has been shown. Please read Sikh history. Have you heard of Sau Suhagan or Baba Joga jee? Bhul chuk maaf
  17. It was important to reveal this aspect of women as some people might assume women to be innocent and harmless beings, but not all are. If there was no Sri Charitropakhian jee, there was a possibility that innocent Sikhs males would respect all women too much and might end up being puppets in the hands of immoral/characterless women. Some people have even doubted Bhagat bani (part of SSGGSJ) in the past, so it's not surprising if some people doubt Sri Charitropakhian jee. We cannot be listening to people, who are very low on the Spiritual ladder, for Gurmat matters. Bhul chuk maaf
  18. This is a good point, but you will have to agree that, outside of India, majority of the people in the world are non-vegetarians. There might be other reasons for lack of spread in India such as intoxicants, lack of prachaar, caste system, poverty, slavery, etc. Lacto-vegetarian diet is one of the reasons, not the only reason, for the lack of spread of Sikhism. Bro, let's move to a different topic. Leave this topic for historical approach. Bhul chuk maaf
  19. Some tales in SrI Charitropakhian Sahib jee talk about men and some talk about the positive side of women. One needs a saint scholar to explain its meanings and what we can learn from them. It would be childish to reject their literal meanings, just because a person cannot understand them. Some personal experiences cannot be used to look down upon a gender. I had a white friend (Italian) and he also told me about his experiences (they are explicit in nature) with a couple of girls. I don't have a lot of white friends, otherwise I might have heard more stories about their girlfriends. Bhul chuk maaf
  20. Good point. It is discussed over and over as it is not easy to abandon meat eating, due to its irresistible cravings. Meat eaters want to justify it, in order to enjoy the pleasures of the tongue. Anyways, we better stay on topic. Bhul chuk maaf
  21. Bro, still the population of Buddhists is very less, compared that to the meat eating Christians, Muslims, atheists, etc. Also, smoking is permitted in Budhism. Therefore, if one takes meat eating and intoxicants into account, Sikhism is pretty strict religion. Strict views on meat eating and intoxicants, are definitely one of the reasons that Sikhism could not spread to many other people. First master definitely inspired thousands of people, around the globe, but the rehat was hard to maintain for further generations. Just look at Punjab itself (it will explain the situation on the global scale). Masters spend their maximum time in Punjab, but still the state of Sikhi in Punjab is pathetic. Amardeep Paaji- The title of the topic nor your first post, specified that this topic is only based on historical aspects. Anyways, I might start a new topic on non-historical reasons. Bhul chuk maaf
  22. Good point above bro, but if it is in one's nature to give extra respect to spiritual personalities, then it should be fine. It is many times better than doing slandar (ninda) or talking negatively about people. Bhul chuk maaf
  23. Even boiled daal, cholay, vegetables, etc are not easy to eat. Anyways, I might start a new topic, where we can discuss non-historical reasons. Bhul chuk maaf
  24. Did Baba jee specifically mention that a Mahapurakh will be born in USA? Bhul chuk maaf
