  1. Coming back to the topic, one thing we lacked in parchar was depth of sikhi in english out in west as amardeep singh pointed out earlier.

    For example- Whilst indic religions such as hinduism, buddhism, zen, mahayana, advaita has bought its essence message on youtube either via meditation, meditation tracks, meditation visuals, lecture, seminars, discourses we totally lack behind. 

     Just give it a quick try, go on youtube type in om, you will see countless youtube meditation/chanting om tracks which is loved by all viewers as its rightly described as universal sound where as our Ikongkar or oan / vahiguru meditative tracks are nowhere to be seen.

    Anyway, for last few years i tried my best by maharaj kirpa to bring sikhi to universal meditation platform as well on youtube by bringing sikh meditative mantras, mixing audio/videos. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-CU7u_LjUhwBh6y0CF-AhA/videos

    We need big improvement on parchar on area dept of sikhi. Unfortunately, basic of sikhi parchar has limitations just does not not cut it as far as exploring deeper finer layers of sikhi ....we need full framework of depth of sikhi.

    This is best sikh news i heard in long time, its about time, its refreshing to know highest authority sevadars still above from clutches of badal is still there -steady and determined to save the honor of akaal takth....i am sure badal didn't even realize they exist which is higher authority than five takth jatehdars or forgot to have influence - panj pyares of akaal takth or have thought about them calling the shots:

Starting from 3HO, baba virsa singh in the past - 3ho currently, basic of sikhi-  Sikhism or aspects of sikhism - meditation, external appearance have gone totally world wide with converts to sikhism  from non punjabi background but real question is, are we (native to sikhism) ready to accept various variations of sikhs sitting at different different spiritual development level/ various interpretations of gurbani, diverse various direct experience with gurbani?

    Is it really an requirement for a Sikh to have punjabi/indic underpinning? Contrary to gurmat ideals, it appears that what it seems like after seeing bridges interaction gap between native sikhs and new sikhs from various diverse race backgrounds?

    Looking at deeply at deep layers, actual essence of gurmat, its totally out of traditional punjabi psychology box or any other box. It's out of totally different dimension- fresh perspective - gyan khand mein gyan parchand- pure ever fresh (moment to moment) cognitive intuitive perspective- of turiya.

    If we leave historical aspect aside for a moment and see sikhs of non native origin, then there is definitely common ground which is undivided spirit- jot(shabad gyan) real self in all of us and if we go by that, we can surely accept everyone, include everyone who is connected to sikhi or aspects of sikhi which is supported by underlining reality- eternal sikhi - aad such, jugad sach, hai bhi sach, nanak hosi bhi sach.

    Gurpreet Singh Guri Hans known for the incident of snatching the mic from Jaspinder Narula to raise awareness of Sikh political prisoners at the Kabadi Cup event in Punjab few years back. Gurpreet handed Baba Hari Singh Randhawa bangles because he presumed that the protest arranged by Baba Randhawa was in cooperation with the police. It’s important to point out that Baba Randhawa is one of the 3 executive members of the Sant Samaj who’ve continuously protested against the pardon of Sauda Sadh by the Jathedars.

     
     

    Translation of Gurpreet Singh Guri’s comment on the incident:
    Today I joined the protest at the main chowk of Rara Sahib as it is my local area, but when the protest started announcements were made that no slogans were to be raised and the protest will be done peacefully.

    In fact even the Police officials present were helping in organizing the protest. From this it was clear that this protest was being held with the support of the local Police and Govt. Whereas other protests have a large presence of Police there were only 8-10 officials present here

    Sometime after the sit-in protest began, speakers from the Rara Sahib Gurdwara said it was great news that the Jathedars have revoked their pardon to Sirsa Sect leader Ram Rahim and the Govt has announced that all cases registered against the Singhs during the Kotkapura protests will be dropped, therefore their is no longer a need to protest.

    The speaker said that Baba Hari Singh Randhawe Wale will announce the end of this protest. At this point I went and bought bangles from a shop and presented it to them and said to give them out to everyone and began shouting Punjab Sarkar Murdabad slogns.

  5. They should not have killed them as these people were just mere pawns looks like someone else were pulling strings, they should have been used to get to real snakes - culprits who are sending these foot soldier to do the work.

    In india precedence needs to be set, usually death is always forgotten. However psychological fear stays longer, they should have been put on donkey, blackened their faces, go through villages to villages one from another with declaration to real culprits - don't push us to brink of war by attacking our ishat(personal) guru, time to strike infuse fear back to these culprits.

     

     

  6. Couple of points:

    1. Real Self-atma cannot be found in reading scriptures, it has bought in to direct experience and directly realized.  

    2. Puran has mahavakas - great unity statements of unity of soul and supreme soul if one just wraps their heads around just reads them without any deep contemplation thats fuitile.

    3. Here sri guru gobind singh ji talks about fokat dharam in a very universal sense not confined to just quran or puran but including all dharams and karams :

    ਸਭ ਕਰਮ ਫੋਕਟ ਜਾਨ ॥ ਸਭ ਧਰਮ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਮਾਨ ॥
    सभ करम फोकट जान ॥ सभ धरम निहफल मान ॥
    Know all the Karmas (actions) as useless, consider all the religious paths of no value.

    ਬਿਨ ਏਕ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰ ॥ ਸਭ ਕਰਮ ਭਰਮ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥੨੦॥੫੦॥
    बिन एक नाम अधार ॥ सभ करम भरम बिचार ॥२०॥५०॥
    Without the prop of the only Name of the Lord, all the Karmas be considered as illusion.20.50.

     

    ਬਿਨੁ ਏਕ ਨਾਮ ਇਕ ਚਿਤ ਲੀਨ ॥ ਫੋਕਟੋ ਸਰਬ ਧਰਮਾ ਬਿਹੀਨ ॥੨੦॥੧੪੦॥
    बिनु एक नाम इक चित लीन ॥ फोकटो सरब धरमा बिहीन ॥२०॥१४०॥
    Without the single-minded absorption in he Lord`s Name, All the religious rituals are useless. 20.140

  7. Namdharis just like all the other jathas have over zealous members in their group who are fixated on personality(pointer) worship rather than looking or following whats personality(pointer) is pointing towards.

    I see no difference between overzealous sant worshipper at nanaksar/rara sahib/taksal/harkhowal/nihang/ akj and namdhari guru worshipper.

    Beleif of namdharis on the lineage is quite mute and irrelevant to followers of current as they themselves are not concerned about history too much, they just care about their current guru and previous two-three guru's, this is no different than over zealous sant/bhai/nihang chela who very much treat their sant as their guru, there is no question about that. 

    Only difference beween namdharis and sants group is whilst namdharis do it openly infront of panth - sant groups down play it- but do it behind the scenes put their sants on pedestal/altar -light incense on them.

    I have nothing against satkar of sants but the reason of my post to shift the pendulum of over exaggarted worship of sants done by chelas which becomes hindrance in one's own spirituality- self discovery.

    As they say- some people follow someone's expereince, but right ones who get guidance from others but bring it in their own direct expereince- follow their own-direct experience.

  8. Why is it that so many sikhs just want to blame Dera for any attack against sikhism ? This is the same type of politics that RSS and Hindutva elements . They always blame muslims for anything against Hinduism without even proper evidence . So many sikhs are are also jumping  conclusion that all these attacks are caused by Dera

    Ermm because in the letter challenging us to find the bir or stop the beadhi they introduced themselves as dera followers..its not a rocket science is it especially coming from culprit.

    Just may be it might be third party, but its up to investigative authorities to decide. 

  9. This is individual experience often available uniquely to an individual. Find the source where all of this coming from? Drop this innocent question in deep silence hold on to your consciousness and drop this question in form of inquiry- find out for yourself as answer you receive in form of divine insight will be in your direct experience and go by that. 

    In sikhi, we call this intuitive connection as bibek.

    Raag means-individualistic love/attachment/desires with ego, Dvaish- partiality/dualistic mind
     
    From Avidya(ignorance that this jiv is separate) everything is born.
     
    Here is the cycle-
     
    From Avidya (ignorance this jiv is seperate) - ego is born.
     
    From ahankar (ego) doership is born then- raag and dvaish is born
     
    From Raag and Dvaish- karams are born
     
    And from Karam, this individual jev(person) goes through cycle rebirth/reincarnation of seperations from Vahiguroo.
     
     
    Here is Same cycle shown reversed in order to go back to our real self-
     
     
    If one does not wish to have sorrow in future, have a genuine desire not be born seperated again from Vahiguroo.
     
    If you have desire not be born seperated again from Vahiguroo, don't do karams with your individualistic mind affected with ego.
     
    In order not to do karams with your individualistic mind- don't do raag dvaish.
     
    In order not to do raag dvaish- rise above from egoistic mind.
     
    In order not to have egoistic mind- learn internal bibek with buddhi(intellect). Buddhi(intellect-pure cognitve perception) other end is atma
     
    In order to have true internal bibek, use bhramgyan(knowledge of real self) to destroy avidya.

  10. You are making it sound one dances on only dirty sounds, you surely you have one dimensional view of this world. Udasis/sevapanthis-adhan shah which taksali considers sikhs dance on spiritual qwalis.

    Have you read bhai nand lal ji dedication poems for satguru gobind singh ji?.. It's very clear some of poems are done in intoxication in love pretty much not in sehaj avastha but rather expressed in dynamic consciousness just like mira bhai love towrads sri krishan ji..you really think bhai nand lal ji didn't fully express those poem in form of physical movement..i very much doubt it.

    So time for you to rise above shariat. If you don't, don't go spreading shariatvad all over this place without looking at the essence.
