Yes, I think this was at Second Guru's time. Is it still acceptable to do so?

I never have done unless I matha tek first

@dalsingh101 around 15 years ago I heard one of the E London Gurdware (Neville Rd or Rosemary Ave) felt too many non Sikhs were coming regularly for Langar only they put some restriction.

Shortly later, there was some infestation of worms or something which ruined much of their food stores; someone said this was a divine punishment  to the Gurdwara!

Thats interesting veer ji as this week dass went to Barking Gurdwara and they were loads of non Sikhs who came in for langar without doing matha tek first.

But yeah Neville road Gurdwara dass has stopped going to there for the last 5 years now due to a horrible incident i had with langar lets just say.

  2. These people make me sick to the stomach. Especially cases like these. I have heard and read cases happening in UK Gurdwara's as well but i wouldn't post them on here as its a disgrace for our community. Plus i feel sorry for the victims the family as well as they wrecking the young victims faith in God Guru Sahib Ji by acting as false prophets seeing this.

Sant Giani Hardeep Singh Ji Hazur Sahib Wale who was a Vidiarthi of Sant Kartar Singh Ji once disclosed in an interview that Mahapurkh would often do Parchar against Jhatka because of the very thin ling between Jhatka and Halal. Mahapurkh knew that if they did Katha in support of Jhatka then a lot of Sikhs would think that it is okay to eat Khulla Maas.

Thanks veer ji i didn't know that

A 70 year old man was abandoned by his family as he was suffering from many illnesses and the medical treatment was too much for the family. This old man came to Nihangs. Nihangs gave him Amrit and baana and a roof to stay. This old man could not read or write and his memory was very weak too.

Nihangs told him to listen to Nitnem daily and worked hard to make him memorise mool mantar and brahm Karach.

At present he does 1000 mool mantar and 500 brahm kavach a day and his health and memory has greatly improved.

    Thats amazing veer ji

Never read however always listened to the baanis

Listening is good however it also depends on what your mind thoughts are as well. Do you notice them changing when reading or listening to any dasam bani. Have you thought about seeing a dr psychiatrist about this as i am not trying to offend you but i suffer from depression and sometimes people can get high bir ras from these banis. I used to get excited as well in the early days but Sukhmani Sahib keeps me under control with the bir ras
