I was listening to Baba Isher Singh Ji’s diwan audio ‘ Bhai Jallan Ji Di Katha’ and Baba Ji said when someone reach higher state of concentration/focus in spirituality, then they start listening to voices from far away / other planets etc because ‘mann bahut sukhsham ho jaanda hai’.
Also, heard Bhai Ajit Singh Ji talking about something like when energy goes up then need to shift it in some direction ( don’t remember the exact words or meaning).
Has anyone who experience the symptoms here talked to any experienced Gurmukh?

@Soulfinder would you like to discuss things here or do you think inbox would be better?
Here, kind members could also add their advice and we could encourage you together and someone else could benefit too but at the same time it is a public forum. Sometimes other forum users could add negative comments too.
lifestyle management is very important to get the most out of your medication and to help patient’s medical condition. Even though we know most of it but still our brain does not register it and we carry on ignoring all advices as if it is bakwaas.

Bhen ji i saw the psychiatrist on last Wednesday and i am awaiting for the clinical letter report to the gp dr. But he said to increase quetiapine from 50mg to 100mg and aripiprazole 30mg to finish in 3 weeks like 10mg drop every week until finish.
The medication i am taking and am given in monthly doses is Diazepam 5mg,Duloxetine 120mg,Promethazine hydrochloride 25mg,Propranolol 40mg,Sodium valproate 500mg,Zopiclone 7.5mg. This is the stuff i am taking along with iron ferrous 200mg, vitamin d iu1000 which i take everyday.
Its not easy what you have written about working in this type of job role.
It’s sad that a nice person like you have to go through all of this. It seems like your symptoms are not stable. Do you take your medicine daily without missing any dose? Do you eat freshly cooked food or processed food? Do you have any good circle of friends or supportive family?
Veer, do you do any physical exercise or go to gym?
i think i can help you if you help yourself. At least we can give it a go.

Dass himself takes 2 antipsychotics along with antidepressant, mood stabiliser, sedatives and a benzodiazepine.
I have been on a number of antidepressants in the beginning but you are right the side effects were nasty with sertraline which was horrible as the headaches it caused were unbearable. I also had problems with mirtazapine, citalopram as well.
I give you credit about your views about psychiatrists as the first one in my treatment was horrible along with a few others i have been given. Even the therapists are equally bad as well.
Back to myself i suffer from ptsd depression and the psychiatrist said the psychosis i get is a extension of the ptsd that's what the shrink said. Luckly the last 2 psychiatrist i have seen are good talking wise but only Waheguru Guru Sahib Ji's kirpa will cure me one day as the medication side i have seen now.
I am glad you got someone good. Health professionals play major part in treating any illness but in kalyug it seems like many are present at work only for their wages. I have personally witnessed it and feel they look down on mental health patients. At the same time, we (me and my team) are always very respectful and helpful to our patients but sometimes feel hurt by their misbehaviour.
Medicine alone is not enough to treat or even relieve chronic symptoms. Drs don't have time to explain everything due to increased workload, staff-shortage, family issues, work politics etc. , and all this is resulting in reduced patient care.
In hurry, would add more later.
There are very helpful and kind people working in NHS but increased workload means they could not provide the care they want to. It is emotionally painful to neglect patient’s needs just because of time strain. There are videos on You tube showing the medical staff moaning about NHS crisis.
I wish you very good luck!
Believe in WAHEGURU and carry on with SIMRAN, everything would be fine.

Do you know how to get off Risperidone naturally (or with Herbal medications) without any prescription medications?
Bhul chuk maaf
I forget a lot as worked in a non-clinical setting for nearly four years.
I have experienced depression and PTSD myself and seen someone very closely beating depression + anxiety + panic attacks + body dysmorphic disorder. Lifestyle intervention plays its part but it is very hard work. It is like a full time job working on yourself.
EDITED
VEER, have you ever been given lifestyle intervention by a health professional? I have edited this paragraph because I have read theory about psychosis and schizophrenia (not experienced the symptoms myself). There is big difference when you directly experience yourself, take medicine, try lifestyle intervention, experience side effects and then try alternative medicine to come over those side effects or ongoing symptoms.
Have you tried to reduce the dose gradually? Are you in stable condition to reduce? Have you discussed it with your doctor?
I would feel good if I could help you, but I don’t feel confident advising on this medical condition.

Read all the above.
My understanding is medicine is just one aspect of treating mental illness. You would need family support, surrounded by positive people, remove negative people and situations from your life, physical activity to improve physical and mental fitness, counselling and must do your homework with counselling, enhancement of spiritual journey and above all PRAYERS.
It does take years/decades to fight with your thoughts. These meds block the thoughts and do give side-effects.
Bhul Chuk Maaf!

I am a beginner, failing at every step, getting up again and trying to move forward.
My understanding so far is that the ONLY key to success is NAAM SIMRAN. IT IS THE EASIEST AND THE MOST REWARDING WAY.
Please wait for input from the experienced Gurmukhs.

I wanted to know if anyone has done jaap of
prabh kai simran ridh sidh nau nidh
prabh kai sinran gyaan dhyaan tat budh
and what does it do if we do Simran of this
May I know what exactly do you want to achieve by doing this simran?
As far as I know, most of the active users of this forum are after prabhu prapti not anything else.

Is there a reason we think they can't?
I listen to Premanand Maharaj Ji advising women not to do something during periods, don’t recall what exactly. He did say naam simran is fine.
it is in Hindu religion, not in ours as Guru Nanak Dev Ji was against such kind of gender discrimination.

If a hindu says Bhagwan or Parabraham, or Vishnu, Har, Gobind, Ram the Mantar not devte names they are doing Naam Simran.
I got what you mean.
In my initial reply, my reply was bit short cut. WAHEGURU for us and other names for Hindus.
Thanks for the above Gurbani reference, would read tomorrow.

Ram the Devi Devte for example is named for the Naam Mantar he was to deliver.
Ram is a Devi Devte and a Naam for 1, but these Rams are not the Same.
Is Krishna a Naam for 1 or just a Devi Devte?
Sorry I didn’t understand what you mean.
I know Hindu sangat recite Radha, some Hare Krishna, some Har Har Mahadev etc. They do have many Naams to recite unlike us only WAHEGURU.

Naam - any name of God like Waheguru, Ram, Krishna, Radha etc . Parmatma has countless names.
Naam di daat- you need to beat your bad karma with naam simran abhiyaas in order to get this, (this is my story). I am trying naam simran as bhagti da seed is in my heart but there is tsunami of bad deeds which is not letting me progress. Naam di daat parmatma Di mehar naal mildi aa.
Naam simran- repeating Waheguru Waheguru verbally loudly and then listening with your ears is the first stage. Doesn’t matter if you could focus or not, carry on doing it.
Naam simran and Gurmantar -not sure, but I think in Sikhism yes.
Naam, Gurmantar and Gur ka Shabad- I may be wrong in explaining this, better to wait for the correct answer from gurmukh.
Bhul Chuk Maaf ! I am just a beginner who is failing but trying , not trying my best these days due to kalyug, but love to follow GURU Diya teachings.
ONE THING I CAN SAY SURELY, NAAM SIMRAN IS THE ONLY KEY TO PARMATMA. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY.

As dass always likes to give a pound coin to the homeless people that are on the streets.
You would surely get the blessings as you are giving with good intention.
I have observed homeless drug addicts closely on daily basis due to my job role, they buy street drugs with the money and go to food bank for their food needs. Often, kind passer-by gave them food and clothes which they usually lost when high on drugs. Most of them are drug addicts but couldn’t help themselves getting out of drug habit.
I am always respectful and kind to them, listen to them if they wanted to share anything or having a bad day but don’t like giving them money.
I feel VERY SORRY for them but I personally think giving them money is not beneficial for their well-being.
I may be wrong veerji, but wanted to share this with you. Bhul Chuk Maaf!

Yes. Don't they later give him Prasad as the bear?
Don’t remember, only remember he became bear in next life. May be someone else could help here!
i done google search but could not find that Saakhi.
I realised it is VERY DISRESPECTFUL TO GIVE NON-VEG PET PRASAAD. -

Veer ji the links are working but you just have to scroll down the page links. But i can copy and paste the messages if you want bro.
Yeah the links are working, just need to scroll down.
i would stop giving her prasaad and try to give her veg diet. It would be difficult to give well balanced veg diet in the beginning, would see how it goes. Always worth trying.
@GurjantGnostic do you mean where a Sikh was rushing to get Prasad and other Sikh said ‘ kio richh vaangu tappi jaanda ‘ and he became bear in the next life due to bachans.

Apologies, could not find the right section to post this question!
My dog eats the usual pet food (non-veg) but very calm and good breed (bichon). Sometimes when I am doing Naam simran sitting on the bed in the evening, she enters my room and sits on the floor quietly. I cover her head and let her listen.
I always close my door when doing Nitnem and Naam Simran in the morning (on the floor).
On Sundays, I give her Karah-Prasad on a clean kitchen towel, thinking she would benefit from it.
Am I doing right or wrong? Someone who owns a pet would better understand what I am doing and why ?

Did you find good nam simran Sangat. If not, here are some good groups.
Yes I have found Guru Maneo Granth Gurudwara Sahib near London, practising Naam Simran at home.
These days under the effect of kalyug, I find it difficult to wake up at Amrit Wela for Naam Kamai, doing my meditation after 6am.

@Ragmaala same here veer!
Me too, I have HUGE RESPECT for MAHARAJ JI.THEIR BACHANS SHOWS GOD IS ONE, REAL SAINTS HAVE SAME PERSONALITIES, ALL OF THEIR BACHANS HAVE THE SAME MEANING, THEY ARE ALL VERY ‘NIRLEP’ and everything else Sukhmani Sahib paori states about Brahmgyani !
In earlier days I was feeling guilty because I noticed myself getting addicted listening to their BACHANS as I have always considered BABA ISHER SINGH JI RARA SAHIB WALE AS MY GURU WHO HAS SOWN SEED OF PARMATAMA LOVE IN MY HEART. BABA ISHER SINGH JI IS THE ONE WHOM I SAW AS MY FIRST PHYSICAL GURU ON THIS EARTH. Then I got my answer from MAHARAJ JI’s videos that IT IS PARMATMA WHO IS DOING THESE BACHANS VIA him AND SANGAT IS LOVING him. It is not him but HIM (GOD).
I also found other babas doing TV/stage shows fake.
We are all blessed who have found MAHARAJ JI , ENJOYING THEIR BACHANS and doing NAAM KAMAI NOW.
I really wanted to visit them during my next India trip, rest is WAHEGURU’s will.

Apart from talking about Bhagti marg , they openly talk about current 'KAAM' issues faced by youngsters like live-in relationships, physical relations before marriage, marriage issues and yesterday's video include gay/lesbian topic. They told that there is a need for these topic to be discussed openly to help people in kalyug.
If anyone is looking for some answer, try to search their videos on you tube (Bhajan Marg channel)

Is here anyone else who listens to PREMANAND MAHARAJA JI on You Tube daily? I am finding answers to my questions in their parvachans. THEY ARE TRUE LIVING SAINT and say Universal TRUTH that aligns with SIKH religion too.

Luckily I don't have an open style modern kitchen, I always turn on the exhaust fan in the kitchen keeping the kitchen door closed. I use nice fragrance candles in the living room and near the main entrance (live in the UK) just outside the kitchen while cooking. Best to keep your bedrooms and wardrobes closed as well. Use a candle in the kitchen once I finish my cooking. Most important I cook curries mostly on weekends.
At work, I use polo and perfume to freshen my mouth and clothes resp. Someone is always eating curry in the staff room as gore loves it.
Nobody ever said I smell like curry.
Hope it helps!

Update since started Gayatri Mantra earlier this summer
*NAAM SIMRAN chanting has gone really good.
*Found Sachi sadh sangat, mainly focusing on NAAM SIMRAN.
*I have never felt lighter and better
* Previously I wanted to have friends but now I want to connect with WAHEGURU
I am reaping the rewards and carry on doing my nitnem prayers, GAYATRI MANTRA and NAAM SIMRAN.
WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH!

What could be the possible explanation for the rebirth of humans? How could they bypass ‘Churaasi Jun’?
There are so many stories on YOU TUBE like this person died in road accident and then born after couple of months or years remembering everything from past life.
Could it mean they finished their Churaasi in those couple of months or years?
