For everyone interested if you can understand Punjabi, please watch this

some audio issues but this is truly the best!

Now I know how to leave body, I had incorrect understanding/assumption. I haven't left so far but I'll keep practicing daily now.

Step 1. comfortable position, start Waheguru simran, saas giraas(as described in this video as well), aim significantly reduce the thoughts to reach chautha padh(turiya), call out Waheguru with certain belief that he is right there, with you, even all is Waheguru, call out with love and some bairag(yearning, craving)

             2. If you can hear anhad shabad then start listening to it and full concentration, still hearing Waheguru with breath or in anhad shabad itself, if you can't hear anhad shabad go back to step 1, read more Gurbani, it will start eventually.
             3. After hearing anhad shabad for some time now, with actual concentration(reducing thoughts even further and settling down in sehad ghar, forehead, house of mind), there you may get amrit as needed, the anhad shabad should keep increasing in sound with more successful concentration and lack of thoughts(you have separated from wind, thoughts and if a thought or 2 comes its easier to let go and stay in the chautha padh)

             4. This is what was missing for me, your Waheguru should be going on inside now, so light, so subtle, body is very relaxed now, almost about to sleep, anhad shabad is quite loud, this is Naam, your aim is to take your concentration to like the sound, this is the marriage that Gurbani talks about, of Concentration(surti) with Dhun(sounds). Power of Naam is so much it is supposed to take you in(like entering sleep but you are barely awake, a bit of shock happens like electric shock). Now you have successfully left the body, it is not like astral projection, it is concentration entering sound world, marriage of mind's concentration to the anhad shabads(Waheguru's voice i.e Naam).

The other side is a game of Concentration and sounds. I shall update as my own experience reaches closer, I'm working on the Step 4, electric shock info came from my father who was able to do the last part once. But do watch the video all is step by step explained.

started just to see what has been posted, but it is very addictive and full of WAHEGURU love.

    THANK YOU FOR POSTING!

  2. It might be possible that white authorities are not directly labelling some communities as groomers.  The system is softer here comparative to India.  They are conveying the message to the general public and raising the awareness.  On the other hand,  there are so many paedophile in these western countries.

I don't remember the name,  but i still have a photographic memory of the Muslim man turned sikh,  and committed this horrible grooming or sex trafficking crime in UK. He was wearing orange dumala on his head and had beard.  He created this sikh image because of their community already having bad image.

In India,  our government has labelled Punjab Sikhs as terrorists in 1984. Cruel!

Lol, oh my that is an oooold post. No ji I live in Barking, East London.

What you mean people like me?

I noticed just few local sangat people who visit gurudwara sahib for their love for gurbani or Waheguru, rest seems like just attending for their friends, regular attendance,  langar or managing chores in kitchen or office etc. May be i am looking down on others! Sometimes we don't know the other person's spiritual state unless we talk to them.  I am glad i am on this forum as feel like i have company now to appreciate The Great Waheguru.

Like you means gurmukh naam abhyaasi.

I met a simple looking village girl during my secondary schooling in India, and that girl sowed the waheguru loving seed in my heart.  It is by the blessing of Waheguru when you meet bhagats.

Speaking of attachment to maya I'll share a short incident that made me laugh and on the other hand really made me wonder what people really wish for in life.

My wife and I went out for the day to Canterbury where they have a famous cathedral. We both went in looking at the grandeur of the building. I have to admit churches have the most eeriest feelings and smell that bring a sense of death the moment you enter them. Especially the more older ones. Inside they had this table where people write their prayers on post it notes and leave them and at a given time the priest collects them all and puts them on some alter/pillar which must carry some religious significance for them. So I started to read some of these prayers and most were asking for something but along the lines off: Dear God, show me the right path for I am terribly lost. Please fix so and so problem. Please take me into your sanctuary etc.

My wife picks up a post it note and starts to write. At first I'm really annoyed she did it then even more annoyed when I read what her prayer actually was.

Dear God, Can I please win the 20 million lottery tomorrow. Signed XYZ

I rubbed my hand on my forehead and said, "You can't be serious, O tera bhalla hovey!!!!"

@Sat1176 do you live in Kent? I could not imagine people like you are here.

  5. It would be great honor to have sangat of brahmgyani mahapurush in current times.  In kalyug, we all need to be very careful of fake saints.

I follow Baba Isher Singh Ji Rara Sahib Wale and he told the sangat that if they would think that he (baba ji) is there (Rara Sahib),  then he would be there for them.  On the other hand,  If they would think he has left this world,  then he would not be present for them (for those belivers). I just try to imagine the great baba ji is here for me,  I imagine him standing,  sitting,  smiling,  blessing me in my thoughts and during naam simran and that imagination seems like enough for me. I don't know why but i do feel content.   One day i would have pratakh darshan of him too, that's my hope.  Currently,  focusing on amrit wela nitnem only.

Also,  when doing nitnem i am trying to think that this is what ten gurus are teaching me or telling me now.  Even though i know it is baani of gurus,  but when reading i am telling my conscious mind this message.

I am in very early stages of naam simran. Just shared my thoughts with sangat.

    Bhul chuk maaf!

The only advice I'm going to give is be very careful about listening to too many different people on how to do bhagti.  I know we all look for shortcuts to move forward quickly. Your going to become so confused about which technique to follow and use and not going to get anywhere. Trust me on this one because it happens to me all the time. All that happens is we are collecting gyan from everyone like taking a karchi from every pateela. We are just sinking in the gyan and that is becoming a hindrance for us to progress and we don't have enough practical to match on each path. Pick one teacher and then follow their teachings. There is no point sharing what one teacher says with another asking for confirmation. It really pisses them off. Either you have faith in your current teacher or you do not.Don't mix and match. Because if something goes wrong who will you turn to? Pick one and then stay on that path and follow only their instructions. That way they know what instructions you have been given.

You got so many different sources on this forum now. Please all pick one and then do the simran.

    Already we got :

    Bhai Simranjeet Singh Tohana

    Bhai Dharamjit Singh (Gurmat Meditation)

Prabh Milne Ka Chao (Moga) and all their students all over the world.

Bhai Ajit Singh (Guru Maneyo Granth Gurdwara, Slough)

Bhai Nirvair Singh (Akal Sahai Waheguru Naam Leva)

Bhai Charanjit Singh Khalsa (Shabad Guru Parchar Mission)

Bhai Gurmail Singh Ji Mand ( Prabh Ka Simran Kendar Mand)

Just listening to the above they all teach differently, even though they all learnt from Bhai Sewa Singh Tharmala. High level they all teach the same, but when it comes to jugti's they are all slightly different and teach at different paces and sequences beyond saas-giras simran. Hell even the saas-giras is slightly different.

Now we have included Bhai Charanjit Singh Gorkhi into the mix.

All that happens is you spend hours listening to the gyan and jugtis but not enough time doing abhiyaas. So what you have done is dirty your mind even more. When you now sit for simran, you will be wondering which technique should I use because nothing is happening with the one I'm doing. The gyan becomes the maya for us. If I look back at how much time I spent listening to all these guys. Imagine how much simran I would have done in that time instead. My mind would have been very much more still. Instead It now wonders in 10 different teachers directions. This teacher said this, this person said that. Why is nothing happening. It is seeking that next experience to progress. It is not still at all

I'm the worst. I have been doing this for years now. Please don't make the same mistakes I did.

My fastest progress came when I knew nothing and was just listening to one of them and did what I was told. Then I became too eager and wanted to accelerate my progress. I started listening to all of them on the list because I felt one was always holding something back and not telling me the complete picture. They all speak of higher avastas which any seeker would want to experience. They always dropped hints but never told you precisely what you needed to do. I wanted the next jugti, found it out, but it never worked for me. One becomes a jugti collecting addict, but mind is not of that avasta so they never work. Now I got so many techniques in my head that I don't know which one I should use or do next. When the student is ready your told the next stage 1-to-1. Listening to all of these people just muddies the water of the mind.

I got to admit in the last couple of years so many gurmukhs are springing up willing to help. 10 years ago we had no one. The problem for us now is which teacher is the best, who will get us to Waheguru the fastest. LOL The problem is we are jumping boats too frequently and that is our downfall. Your going to listen to so many different teachers jugtis your going to end up saying I heard that one before. But never actually deeply experienced any of them. They will just remain techniques.

My current teacher says forget everything now and start again and revert back to gurmantar. The day I stop answering your questions then your free to move on. But in the mean time don't waste my time or yours if you not going to stay put. Just get on with what I tell you and have faith in Waheguru, SGGS  and your teacher to guide your on the right path.

You know what guys, I still can't do it. So much gyan is coming out these days from all these sources above, that it is pure kun(ear) ras. You get high just listening to it. You think you learned something new which will help you on the journey quicker. But when it comes to actually doing simran abhyaas mind doesn't want to know and you can't take even a few steps. You rather spend your time listening to all the katha on this subject. But that is not bhagti guys, and deep down we all know it.

I'm drowning friends with all these teachers, don't know about you lot.... I don't want to know of anyone else. There isn't enough hours in the day to listen to what they all have to say. Some of us are gristi and it's driving our families nuts that we are just listening to what all these teachers have to say. I'm not interested in other stuff these days. It's like this has become a full time hobby. LOL You can't even concentrate at work because your mind wants to listen what the latest teaching has been posted by one of the above.

Very true,  thanks waheguru i have not spend years here and there.  I always listen to Baba Isher Singh Ji and now am following Baba Waryam Singh Ji too. Baba Waryam Singh Ji was instructed by Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji to make videos and audios for sangat.

Leaving for work,  would post rest later

Very true,  me too keep listening and reading gurbani and not practising enough.  I have started simran and do enjoy it.

Thank you for wording your experience as it is what most of us are going through, sometimes we don't realise what is going on until somebody points it out.

Even though you are saying that you have wasted time gathering knowledge from the different sources, but your realisation would definitely save many mores time in the future.  Like me,  a beginner for simran would focus on simran more,  but i must admit listening to katha helps building up trust and love with the great WAHEGURU.

    Apologies if said something wrong.

Bhen ji normally they give a usb cable where you can transfer the downloaded mp3s from pc laptop etc to the mp3 device. Its best to right click the file until you see the"save target as button" then save/download it.You could also use a bluetooth speaker which you can stream cast from your phone to the speaker. Glad to share the website. Also do let me know if you would like to download and save material from youtube or facebook as i got a app on my samsung that lets me.

Thank you Veerji, it was so easy. I did it.

Please let me know the app too, as I do use Samsung mobile.

    Many Thanks

  9. Dear Sangat Ji

There is a huge collection of mp3 files on http://www.gurmatveechar.com/audio.php , but for some reason I am unable to download any of the files. Has anybody used this website or if possible could somebody guide me how to download from this site? Whenever i download, the resulted playlist is empty.  Is there any other Sikh website from which I could possibly download large collection of mp3 files?

  10. I used to be a non-veg.  When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was cooking chicken drumsticks one day. I had a sudden thought that my baby would have similar size legs and what if somebody cooks my baby and say something like-'yeah its tasty or no its yuck.'  It was very difficult to get rid of that thought afterwards.  First I stopped eating the pieces (only tari), and gradually stopped everything.  I could not stand chicken or any meat's cooking smell now. Both my sons are vegetarian too. yeahhhh

  11. Hi

Please do not take me wrong.

If he is following sikhi, started visiting Gurudwara and blocked you , it might means that there are difference in thoughts/believes now which occurred over time.  It would be difficult for you guys to carry on like this, so better to forget him or started following sikhi in order to show him that you do not want to lose him.  May be with the blessing of God, you would get true love from both.

Apologies for any wrong word/advice, just tried to help you.
