  1. You do believe that Gurmat is superior to all mats. Do you believe one who follows any other mat can reach Sachkhand? If they can, what benefits do those people get who had Guru Nanak Dev Ji as their guru? Trimandeep Singh
  2. Yes he loves all. But he loves those people more who japp naam and keep Regat. He doesn't give his darshan to fools like me. If he loves all, doesn't mean that he can give liberation to all for free. He is the most dayaalu but also just. Trimandeep Singh
  3. So there is a chance that they may be wrong. Mahakavi ji just collected saakhis without bias and wrote it. We need opinions of gurmukhs on this. Trimandeep Singh
  4. He probably followed any other religion or also may be an atheist. But he accepted guru sahib's will and took Amrit. Trimandeep Singh
  5. He will give him his darshan and make them his Sikhs rather than just giving them place in Sachkhand. He would give them amrit, naam and if they devote their lives to bhagti, they may get a place in Sachkhand. Trimandeep Singh
  6. Gurbani is not bound by grammar. Gurbani has its own grammar system so that readers can interpret meanings correctly. Trimandeep Singh
  7. Guru Nanak Dev Ji read namaaz, ate halal, ate food with Muslims together on the same table are all stories made by Narakdhari Inder Ghagga. How can Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji give naam without the person agreeing to become a Sikh? One receives naam only when one surrenders himself to Satguru Ji. If one remains a non Sikh, they can probably engage in activities prohibited in sikhi or not in line with Sikhi. Pls give the sources of these saakhis. Trimandeep Singh
  8. He wanted to reach Sachkhand without Amrit. Guru Sahib said you need to take Amrit and become a Sikh if you want to reach Sachkhand.
  9. How can you just substitute meanings? In Gurbani, Ram word has been used for Akaal Purakh and Ram Chander Ji also. Can you substitute Raam (Ram Chander) in panktis where Ram has been used for Akaal Purakh. Degh is also referred to as Amrit. Can we substitute it in place of Amrit in pankti, "Amrit Peevoh Sadaa Chir Jeevoh" According to Scholars, every Gurbani Pankti has only one meaning if correct Gurbani Grammar is applied. In the first pankti, it doesn't say that Brahmgyani can give naam. With the sight or glance of Brahmgyani, one receives amrit varkha (kirpa) of guru sahib to go on the right path. In second pankti, guru sahib says one receives nine treasures by meditating on naam. One receives everything when one japs naam. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  10. Two saakhis come in my mind. 1) Bhagat Santokh Ji It is said that in Satyug, there was a saint named Santokh. He had a high avastha. Once when he was meditating, he received some antar gyaan that Vaheguru will arrive as Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Kalyug. So he meditated and went in samadhi and didn't stop until Kalyug. Once when Sikhs of Guru Arjan Dev Ji were doing construction of a sarovar (Present Day Sri Santokhsar Sahib), they found Santokh ji in samadhi. They woke him up. As he regained consciousness, the first question he asked was "Which yug is currently going on? " and the Sikhs replied Kalyug. He asked where was Guru Nanak Dev Ji. And the Sikhs replied he's in 'Panjva Jaama" (fifth form). Sarovar was named after him. 2) Bhai Dalla Ji Bhai Dalla Ji was the king of great strong army. He was very egoistic and believed his army to be stronger than Khalsa. Not going in much detail, Guru Sahib showed him the fearlessness of his Tyar Bar Tyar Singhs. Bhai Dalla Ji accepted this and developed a lot of shradhha for guru sahib. He did his Sewa the whole night. The next day, Guru Sahib said to him to ask for something. Bhai sahib said a place in Guru Sahib's Sharan. Guru Sahib said to him, that he may ask for kingdoms and all sorts of worldly things but he cannot give him a place in his Sharan (Sachkhand). Finally Bhai Dalla Ji agreed and became a Singh. Guru Sahib could have asked him to go worship anyone else who was a Brahmgyani. However he said that no-one can get a place in Sachkhand without taking Amrit. Trimandeep Singh
  11. I never said that people from previous three yugs weren't liberated. Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave them their darshan. Eg: Bhagat Dhroo Ji. After immense meditation on KIRTAM NAAM, he still couldn't get darshan of Vaheguru. Finally he decided that he wouldn't eat anything until he received darshan. Seeing his thirst and devotion, Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave him his darshan and gave him Amrit. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  12. Bhagat Kabir Ji received naam from Bhagat Ramanand Ji but still wandered around in thirst of Darshan of Vaheguru. Finally, when he became a Sikh, he received darshan. He was a non Sikh who received naam from a great saint but still didn't get peace. Can you please give any evidence from Gurbani that a 'Brahmgyani' can give naam? Trimandeep Singh
  13. ਨਾਮੁਅਮੋਲਕੁਰਤਨੁਹੈਪੂਰੇਸਤਿਗੁਰਪਾਸਿ॥ The Naam is a Priceless Jewel; it is with the Perfect True Guru. ਜਿਨਾਸਤਿਗੁਰੁਪੁਰਖੁਨਭੇਟਿਓਸੇਭਾਗਹੀਣਵਸਿਕਾਲ॥ Those who have not met the Primal Being, the True Guru, are most unfortunate, and are subject to death. ਓਇਫਿਰਿਫਿਰਿਜੋਨਿਭਵਾਈਅਹਿਵਿਚਿਵਿਸਟਾਕਰਿਵਿਕਰਾਲ॥ They wander in reincarnation over and over again, as the most disgusting maggots in manure. Meera Bai did not worship the True Guru but his own creation, Krishna Ji. So, she can't be a brahmgyani. One of the characteristics of Brahmgyani, "Brahmgyani Kai Ekai Rang" Brahmgyani is coloured in the Love of Akaal Purakh. Whereas, Meera Bai was in the rang of Krishna Ji. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  14. In this pankti, it says one who meditates on the Naam of Hari (Akaal Purakh). Where do you get that Naam? From Satguru Ji by giving your head to him. Satguru Ji will only accept you as his disciple if you take his Amrit. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  15. According to Sikh history, Bhagat Farid Ji had a meeting with Guru Nanak Sahib. Bhagat Kabir Ji, Bhagat Pipa Ji And some other bhagats had meeting with Guru Nanak Sahib in Ayodhya where they took charan Amrit. Some scholars also have disputes about the birth and death dates of Bhagat Kabir Ji. However, here's an evidence of their meeting. ************************* http://www.tribuneindia.com/2011/20110508/punjab.htm Denizens of Maghar town near Gorakhpur in UP believe that Guru Nanak Dev and saint Kabir met at Maghar. * When Guru Nanak visited the place, it was reeling under a drought. So he got a well constructed which is known as Nanak Kuan. * Even though there are no Sikhs in Maghar, a large number of persons have faith in Guru Nanak and are known as Nanak Panthis. * Earlier, the Nanak Kuan Gurdwara had 2.5 acres in its name, but there was no building. * Gurdwara building to be ready in a few months. ******************************** If I find anything about the meeting with Bhagat Naamdev Ji, will post. 16. Though I am currently not married and right now, in my age, we need to focus on studies and try to balance out our Paath Simran and study life. I can't say anything because I haven't been in that situation. However, in a life partner, I would only be concerned about her Rehat and bhagti and family background (their love and cooperation towards Sikh principles in case they are non Sikhs). Beard isn't much of a concern for me. Manmukhs get in 'love' by only seeing outer appearance. However, gursikhs see the inner appearance. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  17. Yes, almost all bhagats were devotees of Hindu dieties before becoming Sikhs of Guru Nanak Sahib. However, the bani of Bhagats which is present in Guru Granth Sahib Ji was written by them after becoming Sikhs. The writings of bhagats when they were non Sikhs were surely inspiring to do bhagti but they were only partially truth. When they became Sikhs and meditated on Satnaam, they attained Brahmgyan and only then their writings were included (written after becoming Sikh) Trimandeep Singh
  18. Veerji, I suggest you listen to Sukhmani Sahib in Kirtan form. Even if you don't understand any meanings, listen to it. There have been so many gursikhs who were illiterate but still reached a high spiritual state just by listening to Paath from gursikhs and repeating Vaheguru with every breath. "Dookh Rog Santaap Utre Suni Sachi Baani" Sufferings and Pains leave when one listens to Dhur ki Bani. One more suggestion, when I didn't know how to read Punjabi, I just learned the letters and tried to recognize them and learn their sound. Then I used to listen to Paath of Bhai jarnail singh Damdami Taksal with Gurbani being displayed on my phone. In one year, I was able to read Sukhmani Sahib fluently. It took me nearly 1 hr 20 mins to complete it in one sitting. I suggest, try to learn the gurmukhi letters and then LISTEN to Sukhmani sahib with Gurbani in front of you. Here is the link of Kirtan with Hindi transliteration and second one Sukhmani sahib Paath. Trimandeep Singh
  19. Here ਪਰਮ ਗਤ refers to highest honour not mukhti. Sometimes in Gurbani it also refers to highest spiritual level (avastha). Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  20. Saabat Soorat Rab Di Panneh Beyimaan Simple as that. Vaheguru has given you a perfect body. Every miniscule of it is perfect. Whosoever alters his/her appearance through facial products, makeup, cutting hairs etc is doing bajjar qurehit. You are saying, "Hey Vaheguru, YOU have made me ugly. I need to cut my hairs or else noone's gonna marry me. I can't get a job because of these. So it would be better if you do something or else I am gonna cut these!" Even those non Sikhs don't have any idea by what they have done by cutting their hairs. Whosoever violates Guru sahib's hukam will be punished. Thank you Guru Gobind Singh Ji, you introduced us to Sikhi or else jamdoots would have fried us in hot oil and make our pakodas.lol Trimandeep Singh
  21. "Brahmangyani ki Gat Brahmgyani Jaanai" Pls can you tell which Brahmgyani said that Meera Bai is also a Brahmgyani? Or you just prefixed her name? Nowadays, so many baabe are claiming they are Brahmgyani. Brahmgyani purush were Baba Deep Singh Ji, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, Bhai Gurdaas Ji, Mata Gujri Ji etc. We are making this word 'sasta' by calling anyone a Brahmgyani. Brahmgyani means who has gyaan of Brahm (Akaal Purakh not Brahma Ji), who knows Brahm. Meera Bai is a devotee of Krishna Ji, not Akaal Purakh. So how does she know Akaal Purakh? Trimandeep Singh
  22. Does AKJ matter? A jatha may be 100yrs old but the gyaan one receives from Guru Granth sahib Ji is eternal and universal. If you have any problem with AKJ or it's Maryada (Raagmaala) then please put forward. We shouldn't reject one's opinion just because he/she follows a different Maryada (accepted within Panth). Also you can't ignore AKJ's contribution for chardikala of Panth. It is not recommended to do rehraas sahib late because of guru sahib's hukam in Rehatnamey. If still someone misses the evening, one should not just leave it but ask for forgiveness in following Ardaas. Nitnem is hukam. And if you do it after 11pm, will something bad happen? Paath will always benefit us. "Har Ko Naam Sada Sukhdaayi" However, doing it at the recommended time helps in more Kamaayi. But I am of the opinion no matter what, one should not leave the Nitnem (heard Bhai Pinderpal Singh Ji also say this). Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  23. This is exactly my point. Just replace murti with photo. This is the problem of today's devotees, specially Hindus. Hinduism did not have any pakhands like idol worship. In temples, the bell and the stone were just symbols but due to less knowledge of Vedas among devotees, it led to everyone bowing towards them and making 'stone worship' and 'bell ringing' a great Karam of Dharam. I agree with the fact that it helps in dhyaan but I don't think bowing to it is sikhi. Guru Sahib has said us to bow in front of Partakh guru, Guru Granth sahib Ji and shastars (yahai hamare peer). I don't think he mentions photos (real photos) anywhere. And a beautiful pankti comes in my mind. Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj in Sri Dasam Granth writes that whosoever worships him will fall into hell. He meant that whosoever thinks that 'this body' is Akaal Purakh is in falsehood. We have to worship that jot of Vaheguru, and not mere symbols. Maybe Bhai sahib. Maybe I'm wrong here. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
  24. If the photos of guru sahib (fake or real, whatever) remind us of guru sahib then why can't we also make a murti of guru sahib which resembles the one Baba Nand Singh Ji approved? If a photo can, then the murti can also remind us of Guru sahib. But if people start bowing to it, do you think it will be tolerated by Jathedars? We proudly say that Sikhism is free of empty rituals. ਕਹਾਭਇਓਜੋਅਤਹਿਤਚਿਤਕਰਬਹੁਬਿਧਸਿਲਾਪੁਜਾਈ॥ Of what use is the worship of the stones with devotion and sincerity in various ways? ਪ੍ਰਾਨਥਕਿਓਪਾਹਨਕਹਪਰਸਤਕਛੁਕਰਿਸਿਧਨਆਈ॥੧॥ The hand became tired of touching the stones, because no spiritual power accrued. ਅਛਤਧੂਪਦੀਪਅਰਪਤਹੈਪਾਹਨਕਛੂਨਖੈਹੈ॥ Rice, incense and lamps are offered, but the stones do not eat anything, ਤਾਮੈਂਕਹਾਂਸਿਧਹੈਰੇਜੜਤੋਹਿਕਛੂਬਰਦੈਹੈ॥੨॥ O fool! where is the spiritual power in them, so that they may bless you with some boon.2. 25. Daas has heard from Gursikhs that Sri Rehraas Sahib should be done during sunset after doing Panj Ishnaana. Also, I don't know why Giani ji says it's okay before 11 pm. If you were like really busy or by chance forgot doing it, then atleast you shouldn't miss it and do it with dhyaan and in the ardaas after Sri Rehraas Sahib (as per hukam of Guru Sahib), ask for forgiveness. Bhul chuk maaf Trimandeep Singh
