Hunting wild boar was a very favourite activity during the rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. After his death and the fall of Sikh Empire, gulab singh Dogra became the ruler of Kashmir and introduced wild boars there for hunting purposes. Wild boar is not native to Kashmir.

Wild boars are not native to Kashmir and were first introduced in the region during the time of Maharaja Gulab Singh (1846-1857), the erstwhile ruler of Jammu and Kashmir.
Intesar Suhail, a senior officer with the Jammu and Kashmir’s Wildlife Department, who has co-authored a 2017 study on wild boars, explained that wild boars were introduced by the Maharaja for hunting purposes. “The animal flourished for some time. Baba Sri Chand ji’s Janam dihaara is coming and with the efforts of Gurwinder Singh Nangli and Jasvir Singh Kohala all the 4 compositions of Sri Chand ji are going to get printed after their sudhayee is done. One of the compositions is the beautiful aarta. 
The last 2 lines of aarta are
saran pare ki rakh dyaalaa
nanak tumre Baal Gopala
Some people say that Sri Chand ji couldn’t hv used the Nanak mohar but research by Jasvir Singh Kohala has revealed that these 2 lines are from baawan akhri in Guru Granth Sahib and were sung by udaasi samparda saadhus to finish off  the Aarta of Sri Chand ji.
Sri Chand ji did not write these 2 lines.
