  1. Load of rubbish the problems all started with Randir Singh Grewal and Teja B
  2. NO NO NO way can you bring your kids up the problem we have today is that many young sikhs are "manufactured" and have no ounce of knowledge of Sikhi, in return when they grow up they walk away into world that is is far away from the truth.
  3. Excellent Link http://www.damdamitaksal.org/raagmaala/index.htm a much needed piece, shouldn't have to be done to prove to people about our Great Guru ji,but these people that continue to refute the belief in 1 whole ang of Guru Ji surely will suffer the brunt in their lives. :hearme: Look at Ram Rai he changed 1 word and Guru Ji disowed him, these AKJ'S are ripping out a Whole ang, I feel sorry for them, Guru ji will still forgive them, like he did the Mahants  Thank you  PS: Have fear of Rub in your heart
  4. Jasdev Singh I look forwards to the new sites, along time in waiting please have loads of mp3's katha etc or sangat to share and learn from.
  5. Yeah its all good, same with tooth brush, has whale fat in it minor things like that we are not Brahmins
  6. Don't believe you Mr Narsingha the work of Baba Gurbachan Singh Bhindrawaley (who incidentally was a Nihang Singh of the Akali Nihang Singh Khalsa 96 Crore Budha Dal Chalda Vaheer)? I any taksali's out there can vouch for this ?
  7. The AKJ don't Sing Raags, how are they meant to comprehend "Raagmala" More like Drum and Bass, mixed with the latest Bollywood tunes :bling: Dil To Paagal Hai The Raag Knowlege has been lost, thanks to the waja which is a European instrument that can't handle the Classical Indian raag system . And those that promote the use of it  me included They call it "Kangari Baja" (like a prositute because eveyone can have a go and its easy to play)
  8. I thought Baba Deep Singh Ji was Tarna Dal Saheedi Piera ? and again like J Singh mentioned no historical text, Narsingha points out that there has been no mention of them in text, but their own text has pictures of all the baba's and their liniage from Bhai Mani Singh. No websites but they look like they are under construction hurry up all you web designers the internet is alight with new info. http://www.taksal.com/ http://www.damdamitaksal.com http://compufield.com/harjinder/history.html :sikhiwink2:
  9. Very good point Amandeep Singh, many poeple will convert out for others but ask that person to convert to your faith and see the reaction. What will you bring the children up as is the question :?
  10. Yoghurt is best used by many a grandad's in the pinds, then almond oil is good to use
  11. Test them to find out if it is real :bling: your head against things that they would go out of their way to do :sikhiwink2:
  12. To understand these websites I feel as though we need to read into 19c movements and problems that the sikhs faced during this time http://www.sikhcybermuseum.org/history.htm has comprehensive list of what happened 1800 onwards, but does not delve into before that time /the politcs of who done what/was it right/wrong for the panth as alot of the time it dig's out truths which hurt the general sikh masses. . But nevertheless people should find out for themselves not just take these sites as the whole truth but dig into what they are saying is true  In the past year I have spent near £2000+ on building a library and collecting various old items/text etc that paint the picture as to how we have come to where we are today and I suggest others do to preserve our great heirtage something that I see being done by the above mentioned sites  :sikhiwink2:

  15. God knows your thoughts even before you do :yo:
  16. ...mind you, these days i notice that this realisation of a caste system is fading away and the youth are breaking away from it, there are alot more youth becoming aware of the casteless system in sikhism. i rekon its due to more sikh camps, educational material we get at gurdwaras, internet, increase in sikh schools. i think its great, in my opinion the youth are becoming more into sikhi than back in my day... Girl Uk has hit the hot spot it won;t be long before these gurdwwars will be renamed and the youngsters run wild, is the world ready Sikhi is for life not just for Vaisakhi :hearme:
  17. After some research I didn't start this thread for caste issues, pretending that caste doesn't exist/not-exist etc. :bling: I'm simply trying to find out more about the missal period and I read "Lions of the Punjab", by Dr Fox an anthropologist from California university, mentions it in his study that jats would be the first to step forwards as they had a lot more to lose in terms of wealth, livelihood to lose than the other branches of society, even in Indian Guerilla War Fare by Arjan Das Malik the author clearly places, Hindu's, Muslims, Sikhs and then Jats in their own category as a race of un-predictable people. In "A Matter of Honour" An account of the Indian army, by Philip Mason he goes on to say that when the Americans went to ransack the Red Indians that "How can we fight people that have been brought up around weaponry/steel etc and have been taught by their ancestors in how to use them†The same was with the Sikhs (predominant occupation of farming) they all had weaponry in the forms of Gandasa(axe), guns, tulwar(swords) were all kept in farming tools in the homes when the British came they collected all the weapons and melted them down, so the point being that weaponry was taught through the families and that is how they survived till today. Back to the question “Is true that in the time of the misal period of Sikh history, Amrit was given to Jat (Farmers first) was there any reasons for this ? or is this just incorrect information. “ I think I’ve answered my self or have I it seems to make sense to me any one else ? :? :sikhiwink2:
