Rangharhi means 'Rangharh Muslim woman'.

Guru Nanak met Sheikh Farid Saani, who was a 'Gaddi-daar' of Sheikh baba Farid Ji. The original Janamsakhi of Bala says that Guru Nanak dev had a 'Rangharhi' (Rangarh are Muslim rajputs). Present publishers have removed such parts of Janamsakhi of bala. I have a Janamsakhi Bala in my personal collection, but such parts are already removed by early copists and publishers. My father had read the original text somewhere, and he told me what was written in it.

I am in Chandigarh area (Mohali). I will try to give details when we go to Sri Anandpur Sahib Ji. It is true that the royal armies attacked Sikhs when they left the holy city, but it does not mean that they attacked when Sikhs were still in the city. In fact, Sikhs had gone out of city, when they were attacked. Bhai Udai Singh Ji Shaheed were deployed to stop the royal armies; and this place was 'shaahi tibbi', which is a few miles away from Sri Anandpur Sahib Ji. From this, you can understand that the royal armies were deployed far from the outer part of the city. They dug 'Morchas' near city, but their camps were far away.

1. 'Gutka' carrys only original text. 2. 'Teeka' means 'explanation' or 'clarification'. Basically, 'Teeka' includes word-meaning, translation, explanation etc; but only translation (without explanation) is also called 'Teeka' now-a-days. 'Teekas' of Sanskrit texts by Sri Shankaracharya are not 'translation', but deep 'explanation. So, it is not neccesary that a 'Teeka' must be a 'translation'. 3. 'Steek' means 'Sa+Teeka'. It means 'original text with Teeka'. Practically, Teeka and steek are used for same meaning. (Such definitions mostly are not applicable on most of Sikh writers, because 'Singhaan Da Panth Niraala'). Thus, 1. 'Sukhmani Gutka' is just original text of Sri Sukhmani Sahib. 2. 'Sukhmani Steek' or 'Sukhmani Teeka' (or Steek Sukhmani or Teeka Sukhmani) is translation of Sri Sukhmani Sahib, mostly with original text.

Dear mehargags Ji, Not just a fort, but whole of the city of Sri Anandpur Sahib was besieged. It was not so difficult to escape from the city even during besiege. It is written on the soil of Sri Anandpur sahib's area, where Guru Gobind Singh Ji met whom (during a battle). Remember historic Gurdwara in Noorpur Bedi. It is several miles away from 'Aad Singhaasan Damdama' (Takht Damdama, Sri Anandpur Sahib). All this area was like a battlefield. It is not hard to escape from such a large area. Bhai Zorawar Singh Ji(carpenter) could manage to come safely out of battle of Sri Chamkaur Sahib. Unfortunately, our brothers/sisters visit Sri Anandpur Sahib, but almost all of them never try to know the history. More and more Gurdwaras are being built in the city, but there is no person available, who can satisfy curiousity of a person like you. How many of us do know what exactly happened, when Guru Ji left the holy city in 1705 AD? Who was supposed to tell all this to us? Did we ever try to know such facts? Are we able to tell such points to our next generations? I instigated one of my students to prepare a CD to highlight the history of Sri Anandpur Sahib Ji in details. He got ready, but now he is busy in making money. . He cannot spare time for such 'time waste'. You are in India, so next time you plan to visit Sri Anandpur Sahib Ji, contact me; and I will try to accompany you to the holy city. I will try my best to tell what happened and how. Bhagat Ramanand Ji says, "SATGUR Main Balhaari Tor". If he had a SATGUR, then Ramanand Ji was surely a SIKH of his Satguru. Did he ever claim that he was a HINDU? 11 Brahman Bhatts were Sikhs. They personally came to Guru Arjan Dev Ji and embraced Sikhism. Their descendants were AMRITDHARI KHALSA. Ik Ardas Bhaat Keerat Kee, GUR RAAMDAAS Raakhoh Sharnaayee.

If you think they were Hindus, please quote ANY of old HINDU text, which says that they were HINDUS.

Hindus leaders are agreed (Vishva Hindu Prishad is included) to remove many stanzas from their 'sacred' books, which are considered against 'Shudras'. The chairman of 'Anusuchit Jaati Commision' (Sooraj Bhan) had already made announcement in this regards. Before giving suggestions to Sikhs, please try to save YOUR OWN sacred books, dear. Are all of these festivals Hindu festivals? Wow! I thought Diwali was related to Sri Ram Chandra Ji. He was NOT a Hindu. I repeat, he was NOT a Hindu. He was a Sikh (Shishya) of his Guru. I repeat, he was a Sikh of his Guru. The word 'Hindu' was not even invented in his time, so cannot be called Hindu. He was a 'Kesdhari', like any of Khalsa. Because Sri Ram was a Sikh, so 'Diwali' is a Sikh festival. No? Hmmmm...., Why do Hindus celebrate Diwali, which is NOT a 'Hindu-festival'? Koi gal nahi ji. Let them celebrate. Festivals are common for all. We (Sikhs) are happy to see if non-Sikhs celebrate our festivals. 'Holi' is a festival, which belongs to 'Holika' and Prahlad Ji. They were 'Daitya' (demons). Now see, Prahlad was not a Hindu, but a Sikh of his Guru. How can anyone say that 'Holi' is a Hindu festival?

Also, such 'Nindak' should know that the Maharashtra Govt is being run by Congress (I), and not by RSS or BJP. If we believe that the Govt has control over Sri Hazur Sahib Ji, then we have to accept that it is Congress Govt, which is perfectly against RSS and BJP.

Dear brother, There are many points in Sri Hazuri Maryada, which I think are not 'Gurmat', but in any situation, I cannot show respect for those, who do not show respect for Hazuri sevadaars. They (Hazuri Sevadar) are more beloved of Guru Gobind Singh Ji than any of such 'Nindak'. Before critcizing Hazuri Prampra, they should know the facts given in our old texts. Punjabi Sikhs have no right to critcise Hazuri Prampra. First of all, they should maintain 'Gurmat' maryada in Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar Sahib Ji, where they do not say 'Bole So Nihaal, Sat Sri Akaal' during Ardas. :wink: Is the head granthi of Sri Darbar Sahib Ji a Brahman, who does not say Bole So Nihaal? These 'scholars' should know history of Brahmanism. They will find out many interesting points. I make a request to such people that they should read the 'Shabd' of 'Gaganmai Thaal'. Amitabh Bachan himself did not celebrate his birthday. His fans arranged many parties. As he is a popular person in India, he cannot ignore sentiments of his fans, so he cut cake on a few occasions. Even his family arranged only a small party for his birthday. I hope you have seen how people love and many even worship him.

I have watched this on 'Aaj Tak'. First they said that a DOCTOR confirmed that he was dead, but when the doctor came on TV (live telecast), he clearly said that he HEARD that Gajraaj was dead. The doctor said he never examined Gajraaj, nor declared him dead.

There is need to write more and more well researched articles on Sikh history. Many explanations are needed for present and coming generations. Sikh websites working on Sikh history should fix their targets. They should make projects on various topics, so that we can get our goal (well researched articles) in minimum time. I wanted to complete my projects as early as possible, but it is now not possible in near future because it may takes more months for my health to improve. Also, I have not a proper team with me. The Admin of this site is hosting and looking after my site. Amardeep Singh Ji is also helping me a lot. I know I need to work hard. Once I got an email in which such points were raised that Guru Gobind Singh Ji could not do this or that. I thought to write on this topic, but then thought that such allegations do not matter. Now I see that even such comments irritate our people. A comparative study of Sikh, Rajput and Maratha history is needed now. If a Sikh website works on this project, that will be a milestone in a way. So, what do say other Sikh websites?

Vijaydeep Singh Ji, Rajputs have played a wonderful role in our history. If you see our glorious past, Rajput Kings have always shown respect for our Gurus, Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji, Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Raja Jai Singh and his wife were 'shardhaalu' of Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji. Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji resided in their 'Bangla', where now holy Gurudwara Sri Bangla Sahib Ji is situated. Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji even accompanied Raja Ram Singh to Asam State. After his first arrest, Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji was kept under Raja Ram Singh, who always showed respect for Guru Ji. Even when a few of Rajput kings attacked Guru Gobind Singh Ji, there were other Rajput Kings, who favoured Guru Gobind Singh. How can we forget King of Basoli? Even elders of King Ajmer chand were shardhaalu of our Gurus. I do not know if I should say it or not, but it is true that most of the Sikh websites are beating about the bush. They do not know what to do. Most of the Sikh websites owners do not know Indian history. They do not know who were Marathas, Rajputs and others. If facts are given without bias, one will have to accept that Sikh history, as a part of Indian history, is a glorious one. Problem is that we want to degrade others' history. In return, they try to degrade our Sikh history. It fills me with joy when I remember how Rajput Ram Singh reached near King Aurangzeb in the battlefield. Dancing his horse, Ram Singh attacked with sword. Only sword. Half and three feet long sword. No arrow/bow, no gun. The lion Ram Singh saw that Aurangzeb was sitting on his elephant, safe with his bodyguards. Ram Singh could have returned, but how could a Rajput return if his enemy was there in front of him? Rajput warrior ran his horse and attacked with sword. Aurangzeb's elephant was wounded. For a few moments, Aurangzeb could not do to save himself. Then, another Mugal soldier shot an arrow to Rajput lion. It was nothing but cowardness of Mugal soldiers that they attacked Ram Singh when he was fighting with Aurangzeb. Rajput warrior lied down in the battlefield. He lied down for ever. Warriors die in the battlefield. They fight in open battlefield. They do not take refuge in religious places. They do not kidnap children and women. Rajput woman says to her husband: - Kanta, Rann Mein Jaaye Kai, Mat Matkayeeyo Nain. Je Tu Aayo Bhaag Ke, Tu Bhai, Main Bhain. Sikh websites' owners should have proper knowledge of Sikh, as well as Indian History. Otherwise, they should shut down their websites. And my last point: - I am not a Rajput.

I have never witnessed such a powerful earthquake. I was sleeping when earthquake started. I thought my blood pressure is low. I could stand with difficulty. I went to kitchen to have some water. There I saw the mirror was doing 'Bhangra' dance. I realised that it was a big earthquake. I then came out of my house, but could not go down stairs because of my health problem. So, I sat on stairs. Stairs were shivering so badly that I could not stand, nor I could re-enter my house. I never saw such earthquake in my life. In evening, there was another earthquake, which was not a big one. Authorities has warned that there could be more earthquake in next two days.

Saying that such allegations are there to create confusion is an allegation itself. Do you think you are confused little a bit about such organizations? I am not confused, because I am clear that they are anti-Sikh. I do not think it is a secret that actually Zail Singh was the founder of Dal Khalsa behind the curtain. He was a congressman. Dal Khalsa's role before the Operation Blue Star is now well known. All the activities of Dal Khalsa favored congress (I). Even today, Dal Khalsa's activities are generally against the Shiromani Akali Dal's interests. Organizing press conferences against RSS chief are useless. Even Congress (I) speaks against the RSS, even louder, so what? The point is if you have any principle on which you can criticize KS Sudarshan or his policies. The very first principle they, or people like them, should learn that they are not the REPRESENTATIVES of the 'Khalsa Panth'. They are neither ELECTED, nor SELECTED by the Panth. What they say could be THEIRS views, not PANTH's. They are neither the 'Dal' (army), nor 'Khalsa', nor they are 'International', because anti-nationalism does not make you 'International'. Internationalism is even a bigger concept than nationalism, but in any condition, it does not mean 'anti-national'. Holding press conferences against migrant laborers are against Sikhs living in other parts of India. If any organizations have objections against migrant laborers in Punjab, other could have objections against Punjabi Sikhs living in other parts of India. Thus, activities of Dal Khalsa are against the Sikhs in general. Indian Sikhs' wounds of 1984 are still fresh. Sikh widows in Delhi are still suffering, but supporters of such organizations do not come forward to help them. Why? Because anti-Sikh people do not want so. Doing what anti-Sikh people want makes it very clear that they are anti-Sikh elements. And brother, to 'have direct personal experience' is absolutely impossible. However, one can read what is written on the walls, if he has the ability to. One question to think over. "Why such organizations are not involved in preaching Sikhism?" Work hard, and you will get this answer, "They are there to harm Sikhism and Sikhs, not to preach it". 'Panthism' unites us; Punjabism/Punjabi-Sikhism/Jatt-Sikhism separates us. If we produce 'Bhasmasur', why would our enemy not use him against ourselves? 'Sarv-Dharma-Sam-Bhaav' should be motto of all of our Indian brothers and sisters. Still not sufficient. Brother, I am surprised to see that you posted such a link. We cannot ignore that there are allegations that Dal Khalsa was a Congress-product. It is not easy to ignore such allegations. Even today, Dal Khalsa is doing nothing but spreading hatred, which is useful for Congress. Advani's comments were normal, because he wanted to say something else, not what RSS thought. Anyway, you have to accept that RSS is still the BOSS in the 'Sangh Parivaar'. Advani has to go after December. There is no organisation like RSS in Sikhs, which works for Sikh cause. Dal Khalsa and other such groups are just toys in front of RSS, you know better than me, brother. Watch closely clashes between Hindus and Christians in Punjab, which happened yesterday.
