  1. From what I have heard, again not 100% as with everything. Mahil was told to make that claim of rape to get off lightly, which has worked. I know alot of people that knew gagandip and they all say she is lying. but he is dead and all we have is her word against a deadmans. Another interesting thing is, that a group of thugs forced his mum to sell sikh.tv (for around £90,000) to them and then they closed it.
  2. If anybody has any info, please post it here as I will have mobile internet access in Sri Lanka. Thanks
  3. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh, Interesting documentary, please share with your fellow friends and family
  4. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh, I know this thread is abit late, but I thought it might be worth a shot. I am trying to find any Gurdwaras located in Sri Lanka, so far I have found 4, three being Pehli Patshahi and 1 being Gurdwar Udasi. I am asking because I am travelling there in the next few days and would like to visit one or all of them. I cannot find any addresses, phone numbers, email addresses etc.. I have found that there is a gurdwara in Dibar, Batticaloa, which is on the East side of Sri Lanka, I have found Batticaloa, but Dibar is nowhere, nor is Koti. Please if anybody can help let me know. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
  5. you said it was the second one, this tut backs up the first statement.
  6. would the 3ho/sikh dharma international be classed as a personality cult?
  7. she is a politician, hence why she should change her statements, its textbook stuff... i mean, imagine the hours of bleaching and face poses she must have gone through. ah well, you gotta do what you gotta do eh....like everyone in the world
  8. http://www.kumaremovie.com/home/index.html Kumaré is an enlightened guru from the East who builds a following of disciples in the West
  9. only one reply... amardeep can you be more specific, and possibly reference some Gurbani too?
  10. I think it was the other way round, more Yoga with Sikhi thrown in. Who taught Kundalini Yoga before Yogi bhajan?
  11. I don't believe it has anything to do with the occult world. Is this occult?? http://gurmukhyoga.com/forum/index.php?id=331 http://11-11-11yoga.com/ I don't believe this is occult. Maybe doing Havans, Mutri Puja, etc is acceptable within Sikhi. I don't know, please correct me.
  12. Hi, i was at the gurdwara earlier this week and overheard (I know very wrong), a conversation between two people about Shabad Guru. one was saying sri guru granth sahib ji is shabad guru, the other was saying its a sound vibration, anhad shabad which is shabad guru... can I get some member views, with references, what their opinions are, based on their education, etc?
  13. up and coming Yogi Amandeep http://www.3ho.org/ecommunity/2011/08/aquarian-resonance-journey-to-india-with-amandeep-singh/ http://www.3ho.org/ecommunity/2011/05/11-11-11-welcome-the-change-of-the-age-an-event-by-3ho-kri/ http://www.3ho.org/ecommunity/2011/08/shabad-guru-and-the-aquarian-age/ http://www.3ho.org/resources/pdfs/india.baba.sri.chand.pdf I have read similar articles on the internet, mostly from the 3HO camp, claiming that all Sikh Gurus were Yogis.. They pay heavy attention to Sri SatGuru Ram Das Ji, throw in abit of Aquarian Age material and you have what they call, the Real Sikhi. Is there an element of truth to this? or is this all made up stuff to promote their Yoga business (because thats what it is) Amandeep has deepened his connection with Yogi Bhajan. Life has been blooming with teaching opportunities at Yoga Centers around the world. This rich amalgam of traditions and teaching is allowing him to serve the divine mission of Guru Ram Das to create a heart-centered world and to bring the healing love of Guru Ram Das into these times of turmoil as we move from the Piscean to the Aquarian Age. I am not against anything, just curious...
  14. I agree, the word God does invoke a different type of image of God in christians than in Sikhs, or Hindus, etc. I remember that Suleman tape, where that ghost said, whoever has met God can help you meet God. What does Gurbani say about this? and other scriptures from other faiths?
  15. I love the smart comments on this forum. (highlighted in bold) Everybody is born a Sikh - Can't remember where I heard or read that, I am sure somebody knows who coined that. Well whoever said this, said it because, we as Sikhs, don't alter our natural bodies in anyway, well thats the idea anyway. For example, no cutting of the hair, no circumcision, piercings, etc. I have heard of the Muslim saying "everybody is a muslim when they are born" on youtube and from muslims. Hindus say that everybody on the planet was a hindu first, well I'll correct myself, Sanatan Hindu Dharam.... This statement has less to do with Human Nature and more to do with conversion or reversion arguments. As for Humans having a natural tendancy towards something bigger than themselves, i.e. your assertion of them being Theiests, I don't agree with that at all, because this has not been proven. To actually know, we must first explore Human Nature (not Human Behaviour), we must, lets say have a bunch of babies, isolate them from the known world and everything in it and see how they develop. I think thats abit extreme. We could have a controlled environment, where children are not taught about god at all, they only have language skills, speaking, reading, writing, etc....Then we can ask them, "do you feel anything".... People who believe in God will always say certain things to support that belief in God, same goes for everybody else, I guess.. I think there were experiments done on children by one of the mughal kings to see what the language of god was.
  16. Ok, so we are talking about actual Blood Line. Can somebody here please draw up a family tree of the Gurus, I am sure one does exist.
  17. I agree, it is all in the MIND after all. one whack and you forget everything, including God....
  18. I think the 3HO crew say that a veggie diet is a must, infact, nearly all Yogis say that meat is bad for spiritual advancement. To be honest, I don't know, so I can't comment. When I connect, this will be the first place where I will share my experience in great detail.
  19. I understand what you are saying, infact I also understand her point too. About Katthan Tapasya, please provide some proof?, thats what people will say. But it is a interesting point to make, akin to what some people say "everyone is born a sikh".
  20. Hello, A friend emailed this video to me. The claim is, all babies are Atheists. What do you guys think?
  21. I think my question to the writer would be, why would you write it like that? To get the hindus on your side? Are there any works written by "sikhs"** that make symbolic references to any Islamic literature/characters, angels, etc, etc
  22. What is orally given? Can you be specific? Wouldn't you say having something written is better than having a oral tradition, as oral traditions can easy be perverted, unlike written, which require more work.
  23. When we say Descendants, do we mean, from the same tribe, pind, etc? Or do we say Blood Line. I am specifically talking about Blood Line, I don't buy into the other descendancy rubbish. i.e. From the Gurus Family, meaning a their blood runs through their veins.
