You cannot compare Canada with South asia or China.He has 130 acres out of which in 12 acres he has for greenhouse farming while in Punjab average land holding is 9 acres.,The cost of land is 30-35 lakhs acre which is quite high so you cannot purchase more land

It is urban khatri , arora sikhs that tie their beards , rural jatt sikhs on the other hand cut the beard or become Monay or keep their dara khulaa , this is cultural difference and not mentality issue

@paapiman Can you show me original link where Maulana Azad said this, From where he picked up those stats As far your counting of other movements , definately those were sikhs , but then you have to Add 1857 shaheeds in which Sikhs actually supported Britishers, that will hit sikh proportion also not to to forgot several revolts against Britishers happened in several parts of India , you have to add all those shaheeds ,

We need justice , almost every sikh agree on that , but the question is how? Sikhs have approached UN and courts in developed nations , but is there any result ? did any nation even raised this issue with India ? did they even ask them to speed up 1984 trials ? the answer is no so how can we get justice? This really surprise me as so many bollywood actors has sikh ancestors but hardly anyone now call himself sikh because of fear of not wearing turban or keeping uncut hair..Many of these still have faith in Gurdwara and go their , we had lost so many and still losing because of orthodox attitude of few people. Akali Dal is sikh party voted by sikhs , accept this fact , its starnge when Hndu's commit crime we blame Hindu's did that when muslims commit crime we say muslims did that but when Sikh party who is elected by majority of sikh votes do something wrong then they are not sikhs. In 1984 Indian economy was closed, India did not have good relations with USA and its allies, it was pro Soviet nation with socialist economy yet no country came to rescue for sikhs , USA did nothing , Pakistan did not send its army like India did to BD , UK secretly helped India. And now in 2016 when India has friendly relation with booming economy receiving billions of dollars investment from all over world you people are thinking that they will support sikhs over India and that too over issue's happened in 32 years ago .Good luck

You people are just living in dream world , there is no way UN will accept division of any country based on just signatures and that of those people who are not even living in those land. If that will be case then 100s of communities worldwide will submit signature so they can get freedom from their nation.Even the sikh defence minister of Canada said that we don't support division of any country As far making difference is concerned then those people should come to Punjab and start whatever demands after meeting the people

Punjab was 57% sikh in last census most probably down to 55% now, plenty of them are hinduised and Dera going sikhs, there is no way majority of population support khalistan in Punjab , this is just gimic nothing more, even if referendum is conducted what will; be its outcome? Will UN , USA accept this type of refendum

Nobody knows who is funding Sikh media and sikh organisations outside india.It seems their aim is to spread anti hindu and anti India sentiments.
