If I am no wrong Chhabeel was constructed in 1995-2000 and it was not from decades. In the above link it was written that the order to demolish was passed in April 2015, surprisingly DSGMC did not hire any lawyer to challenge the order.Clearly case of Akali's wanted authorities to demolish it so they can use it as political point
-
Which fanatical power your are talking about ? what will they gain from breaking this chhabeel .I am just against making this issue into political one
-
I am not an atheist. The reason I am calling it simple dispute because in India there are thousands of cases of religious places doing encroachment and authorities fail to take action because of people opposing that. Tell me what will you do when you receive an order to vacate a place because it is considered as illegal construction, you will definately approach the court but if you loose then will you peacefully handover ?

No

I am from congress , BJP , RSS agent , Indian agent etc etc

Was it not the duty of Gurdwara to shut down the chhabeel and hand over the possession to authority in peaceful manner when they received the letter or court order? The truth is in India religious authorities play in the hand so of politicians irrespective whatever religion and that's why in many places authorities have to use power. The religious place authorities themselves allow these things because the blame game can be started and that's what is happening. AAP is blaming BJP while BJP is blaming AAP . so these are just political drama's in India and all religions are culprit in it. And these things are not seen in first world nations because Hindu , sikhs , muslims hardly dare to break the law or defy court or authorities order , while in India they just take these things for granted
-
So every action of , city authority against Gurdwara's must be considered as attack on sikhism This is just a simple dispute where NDMC did not accept that the chhabeel constructed by Gurdwara belongs to Gurdwara and considered as illegal encroachment .And as usual all poltical players including AAP BJP and Akali's , etc just want to score browny points

Majority of historians don't agree with it , it is a new phenomina , mainly by Hindutva historians to say that Prithviraj killed Ghauri. This is just a folktale

If poverty is responsible for suicide then India , Bangladesh , African nations would have been topping the charts , but that is not the case. There are places in world where people starve to death but don't commit suicide. One need to find the cause what is driving these people to commit suicide? One possible reason could that they have lesser income than other Canadian so they must be feeling worthless
-
You are living in Canada ,one of the most advanced nation in world , vast majority of sikhs live in India the thirld world developing nation , the type of hygenic material available to them must be much superior and may be these things are available to Indian population recently and then comes cost factor. As far forums are concerned most of the forums whichever you join barring Tv serials or films are dominated by men so you will definately meet more singhs who oppose it as participation of women in topics is negligible . Your sangat is also limited to Canadians which are very liberal in matters like these that's why will hardly found women who oppose it.The does and Don't s during periods mostly come from elder women as in India these things are not even discussed with men Also women need to decide what they want equality or privilege .Once my cousin called my brother to do her some of college work as she was having period so she is in in discomfort.Recently there was controversy in bollywood as one person just condemned the actress for not standing for national anthem of India and she came down heavily on him that because of her periods she was unable to stand up.Now if women themselves give this perception that they can't even stand up in periods then of course men will get confused that whether they are fully capable of doing alll things or not I think several people here have told you that what paapiman think its his own opinion and hardly reflect what majority of singhs or men think
-
It is women that tell each other about their periods and some of those women may tell to men as many women as it is women particularly elder who consider menstruation as unclean
-
Many of these things were their because of some reasons. I myself have lived in joint family and seen that despite modern things few women were unable to had proper hygiene during periods and there were used to be stains on bedsheets and sometimes even on sofas. so there was always earlier chance of not maintaining proper hygiene My anger was directed at statement that men must be telling other men about their wives having periods when the fact is these things are kept secret in Indian culture and hardly any men discuss that .These type of statements just show that just make men scapegoat of everything
-
As usual blaming men for all problems , The culture of this misandry is now considered as modern. Men never discuss discuss periods of of their wives or even any female relatives with other men .It is always women that discuss these things.

Hindu Khalsa Flags of 18th-19th Century

The daya singh Rehat was against worshipping any god , goddess wwhile Chaupa singh was for worshipping Devi, so I guess there were different type of sikhs at that time -
In Indian folklore, the death of Mu'izz was caused by Prithviraj Chauhan[26] but this is not borne out by historical documents and Prithviraj died much earlier before the death of Mu'izz.[27][28][29] Succession[edit] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_of_Ghor Ghauri was killed by Khokhar tribesman and not by Prithviraj chauhabn, that is just a story . According to it both Chand Bardai and Prithviraj committed suicide after killing Ghauri , if that is true then how come this incident was written in Prithviraj Raso by Chand Bardai

Guru Gobind singh called himself " Butt Shikast" Ido breaker in Zafarnama, if he or puratan sikhs worshipped the idols then how come he is an idol breaker -
You must be kidding or you have no knowledge, I have several times heard stories of Sikh parents in Gurdwara who disowned their sons who cut their hair. They are presented as role model parents of Sikhism. So many turban in urban india are not because sikhs their like to have but because parents are very strict with boys not to cut their hair which can lead to punishment upto disown from property.on the other hand rural jatt sikhs were leniant in that and that's why we saw 90% of them cutting their hair Just like muslims don't accept that Burqa is oppression Sikhs also don't want to accept that large number of turbans are on the head because of stick and not because of love

Do puratan sikhs actually worship these devi devta's? -
Forums are as much needed as they were 10 years ago, more and more people are surfing net and quality discussion can only be found on forums. Unfortunately problem is forums are also funded by a particular ideology and that's why many other people feel alienated
