  1. In India many things work's better illegally than legally
  2. Its true that hindu's in Pak are sindhi's and many will opt for Gujarat .But many could come to Punjab too.And by what logic India can deny asylum to pak christians? It is not about unfinished business of 1947 ,it is about taliban islamic extremist persecution of minorities. Please remember chrisrians in India are between 2 to 6 % of population with lots of support from west, so there is no way India can give asylum to Hindu's and sikhs and deny it to christians
  3. Whatever the fact is what matter is result.Pakistan produced tearaway quicks While Indians Were unable to produce a single Despite the fact that Indians have truck load of money, facilities and everything which a sportsman want on the other hand pakistan did not have much resources. Its obvious that many theories are going to be made about India not producing good fast bowlers As far as science is concerned Scientific studies are neither sureshot proof and neither I claim that it is a scientific study.Several times scientific study tell us that this food is good and after some year they say we were wrong. Also I know that there are some scientific studies that claim that black men are better Athletes than rest of world. Are you going to belive in that?
  4. Here is one source.Very interesting for any person who have knowledge of cricket.Just putting some interesting quotes from it http://www.chowk.com/articles/10335 It is suggested that the reason why Pakistan produces aggressive, intimidating fast bowlers and India does not, is that Pakistanis consume lot of red meat, where as most Indians don’t. Proteins can be acquired from other sources as well, but it is said that red meat gives you a certain kind of aggressiveness and that is why bowlers like Waqar and Shoib can skittle out wickets on the basis of their presence. Once again a glance around the cricketing world gives some credence to this theory, most, traditionally, fast bowler producing countries are all red meat eating countries like Australia, South Africa and West Indies. Two of the recently aggressive Indian bowlers are both Muslims, presuming red meat eating, Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan. Both Imran and Aqib have said many times that the best chance of Indians finding a genuine fast bowlers lies in there northern areas, mainly Punjab, where the vast majority is of Sikhs, generally physically stronger and aggressive in nature, much like there counterparts in Pakistani Punjab that has almost exclusively produced fast bowlers in last 25 years or so, the only exception being Mohammed Sami. Sikhs eat red meat and growing in vast planes and farms makes them used to hard work and physically stronger, a pre requisite for fast bowling
  5. Several times mentioned by Paki fast bowlers like Imran khan,Aaqib javed ,shoaib Akhtar Indian bowlers Chetan sharma In talk shows.Cannot provide source
  6. My mamaji told me that in 1965 war pakistan came with pattan tank and Indian strategy was let them come to Punjab then war should be fought. But sikh regiment refused and war was fought on Pakistani soil.Sikh soldiers took the mines in their hand put it under the point from where it was blown like suicide bombers.War was fought on pakistani soil and Punjab was saved O/W lot damage could had happened to Punjab
  7. It is the same story everywhere.immigrants are best and cheapest workers That's why UP Bihari's are needed. Locals everywhere cannot tolerate this because they believe they have to work hard at low wage
  8. But still it is a game and full time career.Men and women from many countries participate in Chess tournaments but still vishwanathan Anand is best
  9. Pakistan had good fast bowlers .Sri lanka never had.Conditions in Pakistan and sri lanka also favour spin bowling. You have raised an interesting point which was raised by many pakistani's.There bowlers several times mentioned that there non veg diet is the main reason for Bowling at tearaway speed.Indian fast bowlers too admitted it. After watching my own cousin's condition I too say that middle class families should not encourage their children to take sports as career. but There are children who goes against their families and take up sports . Anyway stipends are available and many people which are not blessed with good IQ can take it What I read about china is that they have created medal producing factories where children are send so they can become future champions. It is the main reason they won maximum number of medals in last olympics. Agreed not much support is available, but what about Indians living outside India? How about producing good cricketers and footballers for England?
  10. Rape is still a crime mainly committed by men on women. In India I don't think I ever heard even a single person is punished for raping a man while thousands of men are punished for raping women.
  11. http://www.hindustantimes.com/A-gentleman-who-leads-from-the-front/H1-Article1-512189.aspx A gentleman who leads from the front Going by his tough appearance, it is hard to imagine Rajpal Singh as a pop-philosopher who comes up with a gem or two every now and then. It is this mild nature that got him into trouble with his teammates during the payment dispute with Hockey India (HI). Rajpal agreed to HI’s offer during the meeting in New Delhi and called off the strike. It did not go down well with the players and Prabhjot Singh, Deepak Thakur, Arjun Halappa and Adrian D’Souza virtually took over the leadership. Soon after the issue was settled, Rajpal’s name was dragged into controversy again when the players reposed faith in Prabhjot as captain. HI rejected the demand and retained Rajpal Singh as captain, but true to his nature, Rajpal, sources said, offered to hand over the captaincy to Prabhjot to maintain unity. The proposal too was rejected by HI. Rajpal has put behind recent controversies and is focussed on the job at hand. “Everything is settled and the players are focussed on the World Cup. We will it give our best,” Rajpal told HT during his recent Chandigarh visit. “The off-field challenges we had faced in recent times have made us stronger as a team.” Rajpal’s leadership abilities came to the fore during last year’s seven-match tour of Canada during which coach Jose Brasa rotated the captaincy and Rajpal, who led the Chandigarh Dynamos in the now-defunct Premier Hockey League, was made captain for one match. Brasa liked what he saw in Rajpal and put his faith in the man from Chandigarh when Sandeep Singh was laid low by injury before the Champions Challenge I in Salta, Argentina. India won a bronze under Rajpal’s leadership. Though the recent controversies put him under the spotlight, Rajpal says there is no pressure. “There is no pressure because of captaincy. I want to forge the team into a single unit and bring the best out of every player,” he said. “Four days remain for the World Cup and we are concentrating on the opening match against Pakistan. We are going match by match,” said Rajpal. That Pakistan have done better than India recently is not a cause for concern for Rajpal. “We are taking Pakistan as any other team. We are not bothered by what happened in the past, we are going to make a fresh start in the World Cup.” Note: By posting your comments here you agree to the terms and conditions of www.hindustantimes.com comment
  12. What type of facilities do chess players receive in India? But still they are top of the world .Also what about Africans who most of the time win marathons. At one time cricket in India was only a rich man's game and Indians used to watch Hockey but after 1983 world cup victory The craze shifted to cricket. So what people want is that to see their teams winning
  13. If it is not genetics then it must be diet.It is better if we let action do the the talking.lot of people from punjab participate in Athletic sports in India and they do win medals at national level but there records are not even as good to make them even qualify for olympics. As far as cricket is concerned to be a batsman or spin bowler you don't need much strength ,stamina or speed. But for fast bowler speed and stamina are the keys Don't know about kabbaddi much as it is restricted to South Asian region and people of other continents don't play it. Also being a World class Doctor or scientist is also not easy.Could you say that scientists ,doctors engineers are lazy? If Indians can make mark in those fields then How could we say that they are lazy in sports?
  14. Seriously do you want history's biggest mass migration to happen.Muslim population in India is 15-20 crore While and Hindu and sikh population will be no more than 1.5 crore .This type of situation will create mass riots looting raping
  15. The number of Hindu's in Pak is estimated to be around 1.6% to 2 % and population of Pakistan is 170 million.so it means there population in Pakistan is 2.5-3 million
  16. Even in cricket India cannot produce fast bowlers that can bowl 150kph bowls. This clearly shows that Genetically Indians are not good in sports where speed and stamina are basic requirement compared to other races of world.Even Indians settled outside India are not much in sports BTW beside's being a cricket crazy I do watch Tennis and have interest in other sports too
  17. There are barely around 30,000 sikhs in pakistan while there are around 3 million Hindu's in pakistan .If sikhs are allowed to settle in Punjab then thousands of Hindu's will also come along with them.I am not against Hindu's settling in Punjab but don't think that it will be good from the point of view of communal ratio for sikhs in Punjab
  18. This was a really great innings by tendulkar BTW I am surprised that some guys on this do have interest in cricket O/W i have never seen cricket is discussed on sikh sites
  19. I agree that whole sikh diaspora should support it,but I also Think pressure should also be put OnUK,USA,Canadian government to grant them citizenship. I don't have much hope from Indian government. The reason Minorities are always persecuted in muslim countries Like pakistan,Bangladesh. If refugee status is given to sikhs then Hindu's and Christian will also demand refugee status and the population of them is large.Neither India nor pakistan will want because It will create another partition like situation and many people in India would want that muslims should leave India
  20. http://news.oneindia.in/2010/02/24/sikhrefugees-demand-indiancitizenship.html Amritsar, Feb 24 (ANI): Following the brutal beheading of two Sikhs by Taliban in Pakistan, refugee Sikhs, hailing from Peshawar in Pakistan living in Amritsar have demanded that they should be given citizenship so that they can live in India safely with their families. Buzz up! The refugee Sikhs expressed that their families and relatives in Peshawar and other tribal areas are under severe threat from Taliban and repatriation will cost them their lives as well. About 60 Sikh families from Pakistan have taken refuge in Amritsar for the last couple of years. Fearing intimidation from Taliban, the minority community has asked for adequate security from the Indian Government. "Our mother, father, brothers and sisters are still living in Peshawar. It has been almost 15-16 years that we have been living here in India. We are happy here but our relatives back home are facing a tough time," said Sardar Singh, a refugee. "It has been 15 years since we came to Punjab, but we haven't got citizenship as yet. Thus we can't even bring our relatives from Pakistan here," he added. A few Sikh families hailing from Pakistan, particularly from the rebel-controlled areas of Peshawar, have settled in India's northern Punjab state and established their business here. "People there tell our folks to leave and go to Punjab and people in Punjab say that you are foreigners. I ask which is my country. Am I a citizen of Pakistan, India or Afghanistan?" Sardar Singh questioned. The Sikh refugees said that they approached the government several times and even sent request letters but many of them are still to get the Indian citizenship. "We demand that the Indian government should give us citizenship so that we can bring our relatives here from Peshawar. We want them to live a safe and secure life, with their brothers here," said Satbir Singh, another refugee. Thousands of Sikhs living in Pakistan's tribal belt adjoining Afghanistan have been trading in the region for generations. In May 2009, the Sikhs joined an exodus of hundreds of thousands of people fleeing the Taliban stronghold of Swat Valley, when the army launched an offensive in as a peace pact with the militants broke down. 21. Though German victims were white but Hitler and Nazi had soft corner for France and england.Infact Nazi soldiers did not raped the French women during invasion of France as Punishment of Raping a French woman was severe Nazi brutalities were mainly against Jews and Slavs which I don't think were considered as part of caucasian race
  22. These people are really stupid of being allowed themselves to be interviewed by the media.Once I was reading a discussion on second world war site and some people had opinion that Hitler was bad because He was defeated. After reading again and again about Nazi crime I feel those people were right.Nazi crimes were henious but they were not the only crimes committed against humanity. Does an average American feel's guilty if he knows that his great grand fathers were involved in Black slave trade? What about children of those britishers who committed so many henious crimes in their colonies The list goes on and on
  23. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Beheaded-my-brother-became-a-Sikh-martyr/articleshow/5605015.cms ATTARI: ``I am proud of my brother, he has not been killed, he has attained martyrdom for the honour of Sikh religion. He refused to convert to Islam and preferred to lay down his life,'' an inconsolable Taranjit Singh told TOI here on Monday, a day after his cousin's beheaded body was found. Pakistani Taliban had ruthlessly beheaded Jaspal Singh and Mahal Singh while two others - Gurjit Singh and Gurvinder Singh - are still in their custody. Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee president Sham Singh, however, said only Jaspal Singh had been killed. Jaspal's cousin, Taranjit, who lives in Lahore, has been in India for the past three weeks on a pilgrimage. He revealed that the kidnapping of Sikhs by Taliban was not only for money, but also to threaten the small Sikh community of Pakistan to embrace Islam. Taranjit, who was on his way back to Pakistan, said: ``Had it only been about money, we (the Sikh community of Peshawar) would have contributed and paid the hefty ransom of Rs 3 crore and forgotten about it for the sake of their lives. But they (Taliban) had forced Jaspal to cut his hair and convert to Islam to which my brother refused and they beheaded him.'' He said Jaspal had sacrificed his life for the religion and to protect his identity. "I have to go and see how the situation is there for us,'' he said, unsure of the fate of the Sikh community in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) bordering Afghanistan. He, however, admitted that he was afraid to return home. Kirpal Singh, brother-in-law of the victim, said, ``Jaspal and his mother were also to accompany us and they had even got the visa for pilgrimage, but then he was abducted.'' Jaspal is survived by four children, including two daughters, and his widow, he added. Sikhs in general were safe in Pakistan, but in FATA and other areas under control of Orkazai Agency, Taliban set their own rules, Kirpal Singh said. Should India play a serious role in Pakistan's fight against Taliban?
  24. At present North India is no match for South India in Foreign investment.South India has cheap land, educated english speaking population,Cheap labour. On the other hand land prices are sky rocketed in Northern India which is turning real investors off. I think the best industry for punjab is food processing because of agriculture their O/W Punjab has hardly anything to offer comapre to other states
  25. CNN IBN has made a documentry about the craze of going abroad in Punjab http://ibnlive.in.com/news/30-minutes-punjabs-youth-exodus-from-home/110451-3.html For young men in Punjab, nothing is as appealing than an opportunity go to a developed country. For many, going abroad means an opportunity to earn more money and live a better life. Every year close to 50,000 people leave Punjab to go to a foreign country. Till recently, Australia was the preferred destination. Reason: Almost anyone could get a visa. And after your studies, permanent residency and then citizenship was almost certain. And although the recent attacks in countries like Australia has brought down the total number of migrants to 4,000, the desire to go abroad remains a big goal.
