  1. good points, I disagree with mostly everyone! firstly, fashion and acceptibility change with whims but principles don't change (they can be executed differently, but the intention stays the same). I am not sure of what stories in sau sakhi you are refering to neo, but foretelling kids too many things which may seem "unbelievable" will have an adverse reaction. People justify "truth" either based on a) experience ideology the latter is used by many insecure people and is very scary as everything from academics to diversified thought, thinking out of the box gets outruled because of "weird" reasons like "that person wore pink instead of blue" and "it is true because 'babaji' said so". The former is always going to be more personal and individual, providing it isn't someone trying to forge 'mysticism' on every little event that happens in life. as per iron bangle, I do understand your sentiments bro, but I believe you are exemplifying the effect of the media. if you go to any page that has pictures of gursikhs, wearing keski's, dressing modestly, etc etc is being seen as a "wholesome" image. And rightfully so bro, we want that in a "sucha" life, mind you....looks are deceiving. I once believed, when I used to cut my hair, that those who were strong enough to keep outer rehit were really pakkay on the inside, until I realised even our gursikhs who are "representing" are doing the 'nasty' and 'everything' that we would not expect, the only difference is...the market is more of a "niche". I believe it was challenge everything who showed the pics of keshdhari singhs illegally immigrating into the uk. don't you think those men have been dubbed as "chardeekallah" by some shardalu premi? a person who has seen a "phoola" would not see "nihang baana" as an accurate representation of "khalsa"...nor would early nihangs see the "nokay wallay pagh" as a 'noble' dastar (as it was worn by many of those who worked with the british to wipe them out). we see those same people who did sangat with baba nand singh now have a distaste for white cholay because of how it has been misused by many.... nothing is pure except waheguru lets truly try to understand that! ps. I don't mean to project any of my harshness upon either iron bangle or neo (neither of them have said anything wrong). I just choose to disagree with certain elements of what they have shared.
  2. did we ever mention the fact that most stories of "ancient" heroes are fabricated and the heroes end up following an ideology like 1) eating out of iron bowls 2) wearing white/blue/yellow 3)meditating using a specific technique 4)following the "bachan" of a sant..hence the prophecy is true, and the sant who told it 5)the person was a super hero by virtue of one act, but they could have been married multiple times, etc etc (according to histiographical evidence?).... this being the case...understand that guv has now failed on the ideological side and therefore his story of miraculous seva hold no credibility!
  3. glad to see some intelligence reappearing on this board! thank you very much shaka nyorai!!! , if anyone dare to term you as any denomination of sikhi in any derogatory way, just please point them towards the timmy wallay babbay! . our purpose is to utilize satire to reveal indoctrinated futility . keep posting and keep the hearts of seekers and those who want to learn (those who truly want to discern facts and understand the subjective truth with their own intelligence, and the objective truth with their hearts) kindled with inspiration! and may waheguru bless you and all those who are not afraid to speak their minds ...... a large triple tripe please!
  4. are east side marios panthic, snatan, or u|% Nuns????? (if anyone knows what any other reject from society has divided us into, please feel free to add).
  5. there ain't no heaven....... I destroyed that, and its this greed and lust for heavens thats screwing most of you up. get happy here, and you'll be happy wherever you go. transmigration is a fact, I doubt 84,000 is an EXACT number. oh yes...... ........ a large triple triple please
  6. I would ask the moderators to stop this anti-panthic banter, and be a bit more unbiased in your moderating. you are allowing the puratatsnat forces to spread their "Deformed" sikhi. It is an assumed understanding that second cup hurts the sentiments of the timmy-panthi's and that by allowing this you are breaking panthic ekta. these other groups are coming in and ruining both our oral tradition and our seena baseena and our ideological standpoint in life. one last request, please don't let the "second cup" or "coffe time" or "country style" people infiltrate....we don't associate with any of these groups....they are ku-sangat .....a large triple triple please
  7. you ruined our marketing and you don't have a tiddh? how can you be a sant? or a ragi? or a dhadhi dude??
  8. 200 years down the road............ the story of a gurmukh timmypanthi! there was a pyara gurmukh who had utmost faith in babaji.....he knew that everything uttered by the tender lips of babaji was just a reflection of his marshmellow heart (clean and soft)....babaji NEVER liesed (the token incorrect spelling of one word while giving praises to an individual while demi-god-izing him). This gurmukh lived quite a distance away and was seperated by water, but his love for the ineffable truth of babaji was greatly unmatched. He felt the cosmic vibe of deratimhorton...county court and would transport himself telekinetically to "bachan bilaas" sessions, as conducted by the revered tri-baba syndicate. Babadrawrofsinghji...largetripletriplewallay was a gurmukh of paramount sacrifice and wholly impotent (we mean omnipotent). He witnessed life from many paradigms, from people, to the internet, to television. He saw the world with an open mind and was a patron of sports. His dedication to the welfare of humanity was exemplified by his dauntless commitment to the practice of " nir-disturbedsoccersmaadhi". He would wholeheartedly watch the premiership soccer matches every saturday and sunday (and give his divine blessings upon the players and the sangat)....as babaji's benevolence reached out to the old trafford and other great smagam centers. One day, as he was supporting intercommunal meetings (the UEFA champions quarterfinals). He observed the match and was passing on adhyatmic gyan through the medium of soccer...and insolence and utter stupidity as epitomized by kalyug came in the form of a BEAST. The raging passion which has been controlled by the ambrosial taste of a french vanilla, or the more potent "tim horton's coffee" had never been tasted by this beast. His lager loving(although the beast never drank, his previous incarnation was that of a tubthumper and his karams continued into this life....and were manifested as a big fat belly), fish and chip infested mongrel....who would make flowers wilt with his "saryaaan" could not handle the cosmic love as was expressed through the great words of the timmywallay baba. He started spreading rumors that babaji was not the truth and that he had made a MISTAKE. The sangat could not bear the insults and the flatulence let on by this beast who was too busy sucking his thumb while liverpool were in their prime, and most likely developed a liking for them based on his animosity against man u in the late 90's.....and then rose the legend..... Maha-yodha GUV, who could not bear the insults on babaji.....challenged the beast...he took with him, a plate of bangers and mash......(as every gurmukh does seva, even of their enemies), and prepared some aloo vallay parontay for him, and then made CHAA....but as he was making chaaa....he remembered the harsh words used against babaji....strapped 2 microwaves to the unbeliever's heads & turned them onto full blast! he then came over to canada, did dandaut and did the ritual offering of a large triple triple...along with the beasts head....and the beast was sent to narak "coffee time".......... author's note: there is confusion as to whether the guvadhari's are a splinter group that developed out of ego due to their inability to accept the "tat" maryada of puratan timmypanthi's and the more recent debate of them being a remnant of a once plural snatatistic timmy-panthi's which included wendy's (as they were usually found in the same building and owned by the same company)... Ideological differences seperate these 2 schools of thought while the true timmypanthi's enjoy bachan bilaas around their coffee and donuts .....I'd like a large triple triple ps. back to studying
  9. oye, where have I said "bayern"...remember don't do ninda of babay!
  10. the guru's epitomized culture! calligraphy, poetry, horsebreeding, weapon wielding, weapon building, music! comparative theology, adornments.....you name it! This book (along with warrior saints) is another category, archiving, which joins the ranks of the aforementioned...in the timeless era of the guru's legacy! I have written about this in another thread, but I DO stress the importance of buying this book, giving it as a gift to people, and opening up their horizons.. These accounts give us a view of what people saw from sikhs....when you read this, you will realise that each of us, individually, is here to etch our own names into the book of life....as sikhs aren't just a group who sat there like robots, pre-programmed with certain slogans, who did their duty and left it that. alrighty, back to studying.
  11. I am sorry to have to make this one short, I am speaking as a member of the sikh panth and not a timmypanthi-baba...... First and foremost this book, in current times, is a histiographical gift to us. how many people have felt that, as sikhs, we cry and cry and aren't recognized????(probably the majority of us), but this compilation of accounts restores a non-ideological belonging to the greater world. We are old world people, with new world thoughts, caught in the barracade of self pity and disempowerment! This book is not just ample, but powerfully overwhelming evidence that sikhs have a strong legacy behind them. I URGE everyone to buy this book! Sacha sauda should have copies of this....we may be young, we may be old....but our next generation deserve to grow up understanding and knowing that their forefathers were a distinguished people. I'll give a personal story to you all, every once in a while, I have done tours of one of our gurdwara's here in toronto(for catholic school high school people), and answered questions about the sikh faith etc. I smile, keep it light, but I do tend to express certain things with a bit of seriousness (The light-hearted approach helps to make certain, more serious stuff, stick out). Well, part of my aim, when talking to people is to show a human commonality. An example I used when referring to the medium of sikh worship and preaching (for a better lack of words) is as follows 1) who here has been hurt in a relationship? 2) who here has heard a song on the radio that you guys have felt has been written for you? (most people put up their hands). 3) then I go onto explain, " Guru nanak, talked and sang (I go into raags at this point) about his experience, which is at the core of everyone living being...each and every one of you...his words pierced people at a level they could barely fathom, and that opened them up to something profound..to which they said "waheguru" Now, this relates back to the book, because the same authors wrote warrior saints (another MUST HAVE)...and that book has pictures. I ALWAYS show the pictures of sikhs in flanders field...... for all you canadians, we have grown up reciting, "in flanders field"...and the people you see are "sikhs". This hits home, we have "physical proof" that we were a part of history!!!! This book sheds sikhs in a real light, and helps us and others connect to sikhi at a real level!!!!! by us, buying, absorbing, learning and communicating the painstaking efforts of what amandeep madra and paramjit singh have undertaken...we are doing our duty as ambassadors of sikhi...and JUSTICE to their efforts! I say, with full heartedness, that this is a MUST HAVE and indispensable compilation with VERY NEUTRAL and SOUND commentary. I have read 3/4 of the book. I will read it through thoroughly twice, before I give details of what is good (without giving too much away). Buy the book! its worth not going to timmy's for 2 weeks . ps...still in exam time, so my thoughts aren't as clear, but I will write more.
  12. hanji, you guys have good karam..... only an uchi avastha timmy-panthi, can know about the inner secrets of UEFA. Firstly, liverpool has a reputation that precedes them, but those days are long gone. Now, they have a mostly european team, excellent talent, but the chemistry isn't AS strong as chelsea's. Chelsea are your rehitvaan timmypanthi's as they keep doing abhyaas and win with consistency. They are the boring, give your head, hanji-paaji type (mind you, these types are quite often gurmukhs in the non-timmy world). Secondly, breaking through terry and his defence will prove to be tougher than to break through karragher and his boys 3rdly, gerrard has to be back, I am not sure about morientes's status, but the forward line should have 2 bandhay....they were hopeless with their formation against juvey yesterday. 4th, AC milan vs. chelsea (final)...ac milan will win last but not least....(now that sabyacharak vigyaanta has been given to the possible members of the panth)..... "....A LARGE triple triple please"
  13. seva is, living out divine inspiration .....a large triple triple c/o co-jathedar of TIMMY wallay jatha
  14. Tsingh, the ex-3h0, was he turned off by sikhi completely, or was it just some phase he grew out of?
  15. parmatma and atma...... both emmanations of the same source; the difference is your level of absorption
  16. urvinder, I'm going to share a story, it may help! a tired man was walking in a desert. he hadn't drank or eaten for 2 days and the sun was teeming down harsh on him. He was hoping for some relief, some shade, some water....As he was walking he saw this beautiful palm tree and he thought "oh yes, thank you lord..you have heard my prayers"...as he approached, he bumped into a STICK that was put into the ground vertically. He realised the STICK was the palm tree and that he saw a mirage..... so for the benefit of others he put the stick down so no one would bump into it 3 days later, another man, with the same circumstances was walking from the opposite direction and was staggering because he couldn't handle the heat. Well as he was walking he 'tripped' over the stick' so for the benefit of others, he put the stick in the ground VERTICALLY, so that no one would trip over it now, in assessing our actions...lets act in a way that is grounded in the right intention...waheguru will give the desired result.
  17. k, eating maryada...... 1stly, we are not about sarbloh as we are more about the "Degh" in degh tegh fateh...but we see sarabloh as the eternal degh...BUT we do not allow any other "brand" cup come into timmy's sometimes people use timmy cups to put in cofee time and that will poison the panth hence we use the timmy stirrirs (ceremonially) as a "Check"
  18. we are not SANTS, (being humble) we are DAS'S.... (laying it on thick) We are not here to create a seperate religion......(yeah, because religions suck, but you still have to leave your current religion and join us). but to unite all of humanity (anyone who is willing to fall into the trap) We are 3 sants....traikall (distinctive competitiveness, one is shiva, one is vishnu, one is brahma......so I'd most likely be shiva, N30 vishnu (his satchitanandsarooopnirvakalapterminology stuff, and brahma is definitely cybersingh....always being creative)......now, I can only destroy.....so the best I can do is offer you a donut to devour your anger...... ....a large triple triple please
  19. Actually on a lighter note, it is good we are autonomous; now, if we can put the nitty gritty to the side and allow everyone to be, and sit there and remember akal/waheguru/nirankar while someone is doing things their own way....we're set. thats where we jump ahead of ourselves, we're trying to run instead of walk. Isn't it beautiful though? god has made every sikh passionate (to some degree) about sikhi....we just tend to forget that our own inhibitions and flaws become our biggest obstacles...and more times than not it isn't a recurring issue with others, but an unresolved epidemic within us. btw: dhan dhan social rejects....and dera tim hortons is VERY social..... ....I'd like a large triple triple
  20. this is seena-baseena, and although we do respect the other ethnographical traditions we do not respect other traditions because the other traditions they are either Mywayornoway (beautifully veiled as "Guru's way") or anywayisokay (equally veiled as "guru's way")...... ....I'd like a large triple triple
  21. why does everything have to be either "snatan", "tat", or "puratan"???? I hereby solemnly declare that I am starting a new "label" (neo, cybersingh, and all the other people who come to tim hortons now follow....) TIMMY maryada. here is our answer to everything...... "shut up, sit down, think....WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEEE....and then go home and do more paat" let me break this down for you all... shut up: when you don't know anything and try to push that onto others...its best to shut up, before everyone else figures out you're stupid sit down: when you are excited...sit down. Otherwise our final answer will make you sit down. think:...this is a stretch for the majority, but hey! its positive prachar....realistically, use this advice to try and figure how that person in front of you is possibly sharing an experience that is wrapped in dogma and that you will only get the "Snatan" by looking at the "tat" of what they are saying. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFEEE!!!!! (if you are getting upset over the internet and its pissing you off etc etc etc.....you aren't a sikh!, you're really a reject from society who is trying to find a place to fit in. The cyberworld is great because no one is accountable (not with our standards)......and for those of you who have a sense of reality, ask yourselves...how many people are actually into sikhi?????? look at it, the average punjabi family born and bred "sikh" does not know much more than "cover your head" stand up, get prashad. and "We believe in one god"...but have "10 gods or gurus" (depending on how little or how much they care about what they say). then...go home, go back to your house, be in grist..set the example for everyone by "trying" to give yourself to waheguru..... and our best prachar...and this is a "unique" one; please do paat! ..."I'd like a large triple, triple" current members are srin30singhmediumdoubledouble&Valnutcrunchwallay sricybersinghmediumdoublekevalcofeewallay sridrawrofsinghlargetrippletripplewallay & a blueberry fritter! our dera is dera tim hortons, county court blvd..brampton! Mod's Note: We just going to move this topic to our "General Discussion/Section"
  22. again I'm getting jealous and annoyed! why does everything have to be either "snatan", "tat", "puratan"???? I hereby solemnly declare that I am starting a new "label" (neo, cybersingh, and all the other people who come to tim hortons now follow....) TIMMY maryada. here is our answer to everything...... 23. good point pheena! many don't want to realise god, they just want the buzz! some sufi's consider any image or concept of god as being an illusory obstacle in the day..(ie. jaalaal vs. jamaal) Even with guru sahib's words, god's attributes are metaphorically brought down to us because the experience is greater than our conception. ps. I'd write more, but I don't have the knowledge or conception to add to what you 2 have already (tsingh, and pheena) have enlightened us with.
  24. if you flatulate in your kachera...and it leaves a brown spot, you have lost all sucham....... I guess that is why 84,000 lives are so hard? (gimme a break...this is the dogmatic thinking I am talking about. Don't do this, it is bad for you....well you will never know unless you do it. If it is a temporary crutch, then it becomes an advesary for god). sikh is more about giving yourself completely...to waheguru and less about do's and don'ts!
