VJKK VJKFji Hi I would like to ask everyone about what people feel about adultery and sex before marriage? Such acts are on the rise, I personally think one of the reasons is economy in the past sex before marriage and out of marriage was generally done by kings however not all kings did there were some just ones. The sikh misls who did this were influenced by mughals and hindu kings and even amongst them some did and some did not, it came down to how one feared there own God. In the past in punjab people did not sleep around primarily down to honour killings. In the west there is a sense of being liberal and in such case some Muslims feel that shariah is something that would control all this. However I strongly disagree by pursuing one evil with a greater evil. In terms of controlling ones own personaly lust and how sex is everywhere one turns in the media on the roads and how exploitation of such a thing is going. How does one pursue this when it comes to having children. How are you going to control your children from having sex before marriage or out of marriage or even going with someone out of the Sikh religion? Would you resort to honour killing? Do you cut yourself off from them and cut your family if someone goes off with someone? If your child ends up with a Muslim or someone else do you plan to bring them into Sikhism and if so how? What do you do if the resist Sikhism and convert your child? Or even your sisters, or cousins or even you?

It is has been down hill after then and to go back up we need to infuse such rehat instrength. There have been loads of corrupt Sikhs since Misl period but even then and now those corrupt guys did some good things at the same time. What are the goverments in the west doing to close down schools which teach muslim boys to go and manipulate and convert non-muslims christians, sikhs, hindus. One of the biggest effects that we can have is if Dr Manmohan Singh or the president of India can declare amritsar as a holy state banning alcohol and meat in Amritsar distrinct this will do alot. nehru and gandhi promoised laws to be passed for sikhs so maybe it is time such a law is passed for sikhs in a democratic country. These items are not allowed on site of any Gurdwara anyway and there are many holy cities in India who have enforced such law so in the rights of sikhs it would be most just such a law comes into effect.

If we can get Badal and or Captain Arminder Singh and or Primeminister Manmohan Singh to hold campaigns from medical viewpoint enforced with rehat ontop and other religious view points if possible to have a wide spread effect. Kabuli sikhs drink as well alot of the men drink in there homes they are more on hidding it, but with afghan sikh youth (more with guys) they do sleep around and drink, enough stories. An unwilingness to preach in english and place masses of literature in english is going to make the problem worse - there is alot of ignorance in our own community and false pride also within das as well. VJKK VJKFji Why do so many upna drink, like the amount of apna that drink is really high, even full dhara prakasha upna drink alot of our jathedars, gianis and raagis drink so many been caught out. It is a proper punjabi jatt culture thing offcourse not to Jatt but all punjabis but Sikhs in general have developed a full reputation for being piss-heads it seems virtually all of us drink. Every party, event, every type of social gathering Sikhs drinking at universities clubs etc. all are drinking and people expect things like sikh socitieis to cater for alcohol when some people hear Sikh they think ethnic group of people who drink there heads off. Why has it become so bad, even the most educated of us. Rehat maryada forbid it, it is a kurieht, maharaj didn't allow us to drink. In the case where a Sikh does not drink he is related to being a Muslim and not a true Sikh in so many cases I have seen. There are so many health risks even though people say moderation is okay. Alcohol damages kidneys, livers and brain. People say that if you look at science it says alcohol can be good for you. Even the most senior respectable Sikhs drink. It is not fair on Sikhs that many average people equate Sikhs to Muslims or Hindus in this case of demonisation. Sikhs are hated by many Muslims and end up being hated by other people it will lead to destruction and self ideological genocide of Sikhism if people don't fix up.

Sikhs are divided up on so many factors it is really time we end these silly divisions of jathas and caste etc. just inter-marry into each other, we really need to intermarry so these factors can stop, that is what maharaja ranjit singh did in his time and throughout history people did. It is likely it may be hard to hold a marriage on differences but you need to come to terms with similarites and no mater what all humans are different regardless of whatever. Sikhs need to rise to political stages and media likewise doing best in whatever career they are in and being the best in that. In whatever country Sikhs need to have a say in legislations and being in the media spot light hopefully all for the best of everyone. All of the Sikh clergy seems to have corruption to some degree which could be overcome if we communicated effectively enough. All these jathedars in each jatha and leaders of castes and groupings need to intermarry. As for the issue with Muslim it comes straight down to there scholars, sheikhs, immams and moluas whatever they feed the masses, the masses believe; it is not what is written in the haddith or quran or how it is understood, it is whatever comes out of the mouth of people like Zakir Naik. The guy wants to allow stoning people to death on national tv and internet everywhere that idea is hold up. There are groups pushing for shariah rulling. Most muslims are divided on many basis and it is probably best to have them divided rather then people those so called scholars saying all muslims are one now lets kill the infidels, take there women, burn there books and places of worship. The history of them lot are the same. Most there scholars are up for debates now and most people are too scared to go and debate them, most there ideas are easily disprovable but whenever some people have they pull out the card that you are offensive, biggot and are against freedom of speech. They themselves want to violate many human right laws themselves.

To be honest pretty much every Sikh knows that. Goverment should work with Sikhs, Maharaja Ranjit Singh controlled them from our history and religion we know how to deal with them.
