Does it really matter veera. Everyday, there is disrespect shown to our guru. Our own community leaders do all kinds of things within the complex of gurudwarai i.e. in the presence of our guru. One of the biggest sins is taking money in the name of the guru; masands were killed for this. Yet we let so and so sardar ji do this (and to top if off, we allow him to preach in the presence of the guru.) Everyday, gursikhs recite gurbani, but spit at their guru when they ignore what he is guiding them (sounds harsh, but this is to those individuals, like me, who are good at lip service.) Bulletholes or not..it doesnt matter bro. Disrespect can come in many forms. Forget about what the indian government done to us..lets look out ourselves..have we ever done anything to disrespect guru? In the same way jesus asked for any man who hasnt sinned to throw the first stone, i think we need to analyse and criticise ourselves, and then worry about what other people do. Your right..its wrong, and accept my apology if u havent ever dishonoured the guru. But i speak for most of us sikhs, when i say, weve all disrespected the guru to an extent. So what the indian government did is irrelevant..im guilty too

The state of gurudwara is kinda sad..makes me cry. Im not perfect..far from it..but theres alot that needs to change. If i was offered a position in a gurudwara, i would take it (hint hint) cos i think theres alot of changes that need to be made. To date, i havent seen the same level of pyaar in a gurudwara, then this one gurudwara ive seen in los angelas..full of all kinds of sikhs from different backrounds. Beautiful.

I know its like a file sharing thing (similar to kazaa) but ive only got a dial up connection, and also i hear u have to contribute silly ammounts of files (which i dnt think i have.) So is it worth me downloading the hub on a dial up connection? and how much do i need to share with others? (i really want it so i can download all these sikhi files wahoooooooo) Thank you guru pyario!

Singh its a really good book; has numerous rehit namae in there. one sec. from what i can see he refers to about 13 rehitnamae. The first section is all the scholarly stuff which breaks down his views,etc; and then the second section is the rehitnamae translated into english (wahoooo.) You can buy it, or try and borrow it off someone u know! (provided u give it back, u can borrow it off me.)

I think ur best bet would be to buy W.H Mcleods Sikhs Of The Khalsa (oxford press.) Does all the hard work for you! Gurfateh

Why do people have this urge to convert people to their faiths..whats the big deal with numbers??!! Its even more frustrating when, chances are, they probably dont even follow that particular faith to the 't' themselves. I think SGPC should definitely open their tv channel; there needs to be more gurbani on the airwaves if people are to understand or have an insight into sikhi..but personally, it doesnt bother me. If someone wants jesus as their satguru then let them!

I thought it was the other way round veera?? Before sunset, or all the way to sunrise! Anyways in answer to your question, i heard from baba maan singh that if you do it after sunset, then shaheed singhs come and join you (which can be frightening i guess.) Also because some shaheed singhs told him this i.e to do chandi di var at these times. This is good enough for me! Gurfateh
