  1. Here's somthin' to scratch your noggin over...what is good and what is bad? I mean they are societal constructs, that vary from people to people...Some find having multiple wives acceptable, and some don't... ...some find it acceptable to kill the "infidel" in the name of god, some don't.... ...some think its ok to kill animals, some don't.... ...some find it ok to spend $200+ billion on war, some don't when a quarter of it could end hunger on Africa... These may not be the best examples but what is right or wrong?
  2. hehe...come on guys face it...you are merely the more liberal frontier of the United States...the sooner you realize the truth, the better..
  3. lol...I think we are still misunderstanding each other. first....ouch... I completely agree. I felt I said this in my posts, but to clarify I do feel that we should try to complement each other, and NOT say I'm equal to you in everyway...cause there are differences between the sexes. However, that doesn't hinder our equality, if you get what i'm saying. Of course not, I don't think it undermines the overall strength of one sex. I was merely using the physical strength example, as well an example to show the sexes are different. I did not mean it to convey that men are in superior in anyway. To sum up, I merely meant to say that men and women should be more inclined to act as complements to each other, instead of trying to be equal in everyway..should be kinda like yin and yang, that represent the two complementary elements of the universe in Chinese religions this is mainly to those extreme feminists. cause if you wanna be equal grow a penis.
  4. At least he is getting his feelings out...thats one starts..You know that old saying...lessen your burden by sharing, multiply your happiness my sharing it...or something like that..I don't know is exactly.. Keep your head up Orchids...be happy...and f anybody that tells/makes you feel otherwise!
  5. Hey Hey...don't be makin' fun of us AMERICANS...don't make us attack Canadia....you saw what happened in Iraq, we will take Canadia in a day...cause all y'all gots is Mounties...and we RULE....
  6. Um...I don't think you got my point...I'm not discriminating against women..I just feel that men and women should complement each other instead of striving for the I'm equal to you thing....because we are not equal...this doesn't mean men are better or vice versa, just we are two parts of the one whole...Am I making myself clear on this? On the army thing, I said that not because I don't want women in the army, I said if they can perform to the same ability as a man then they can join....I mean strictly the fighting ranks, nothing keeping women from being the strategists...I hope this clears my view up. I'm not some sexist pig....
  7. I agree with you Pheena, but I also disagree with the way many women rage over equality. I think we should all have the basic equalities such as civil liberties as we are all people...but it should be realized that men and women are different!!! Its idiotic how some women complain that a man is in the military why can't I join? You wanna join? Then live up to the same standards if you are all about equality. A soldier needs to carry his heavy gear and be mobile. We should not compromise the quality of our army just cause some woman wants to join (if she can do all a man can, then join). Basically my point is that while I understand that this practice is becoming an issue due to equality women are fighting for, I think women are taking the equality thing too far. Recognize that we are different..ex: men are typically better capable physically than women. I agree that women needs fair rights, but I think we should try to complement one another kinda like yin & yang, and not equal... Sorry about the tangent, I don't mean to offend anyone especially the women on this board. PS...no one agrees with the babies theory? :?
  8. SF no one is saying you're wrong. In fact you are right, that it would be sick to view your sister-in-law as a sexual partner...however the question posed at first wasn't a moral one. The question everyone has been answering is the scientific one of if it is incest or not. So I'm sure everyone agrees with you, and no one is trying to change your mind, but you are answering a different question.... Hope I said that clearly enough...tierd...lol...damn finals...
  9. I know what you mean SF. To me my Sikh identity and my punjabi identity aren't mutually exclusive. Kind of a blur, prolly why I'm not close to being the "perfect Sikh"....but it's who I am..
  10. The answer is BABIES!!! Seriously I think that is the reason. You see men can make babies whenever, but when it comes to women, they're on a short time table. I mean isn't it something like after the age 35 the chances of a miscarriage increase greatly.... So yeah, men need to use the baby factories while they are still open for business...cause you ain't gonna get no babies after quitin' time! That is my theory on this topic..
  11. Well I'm not in England, from America actually, and would like to give my two cents.... All I have to say is I don't bother anybody unless they bother my friends/family. I will take a lot of crap from people, but can't stand it when its to my family/friends. That said I also don't let people beat up on other innocent people (though this doesn't happen too much). That and most people don't say anything to me... (even though I can't fight, never been in one, lol). And about that comment of someone jumping on the sister's car. If some even dared to scratch my car I would beat their face in, and if they ever tried to do anything like that to my sister you better believe I would break their fuckin' legs, me and all the people I know  Granted my paragraph above goes against what most people here said, but that is how it would happen.
  12. Sikh fauge I agree with you that marrying your sister-in-law is morally wrong, it is not incest. Incest implies that you have a blood relation with the person you are engaging in sexual activity with. However wrong marrying your sister-in-law maybe be, it isn't incest... Unless of course your brother was actively involved in incest, in which case it would be incest... ...now that would be f*ed up...lol
  13. You say tom-A-to....I say tom-O-to
  14. Wooo! I got em all right, specially since I saw the "hints" at the bottom...
  15. haha...sorry about that..it doesn't mean anything. That was just an additional comment. It doesn't mean that girls that cut their hair/wear make-up don't have personalities. That was just an add on, perhaps to show that turbaned guys aren't always spiritual (ie they go after a pretty girl, even knowing that they would have better chance of making intelligent conversation with a...well...rock). And this does not mean pretty girls are stupid, just that to a lot of guys all that matters is how pretty a girl is, and not whether she can think or not.
  16. Not a problem at all. I think a turban is a more regal headdress, but people can wear what they like.
  17. I never quite understood the concept of excommunication in Sikhi.. Someone can excommunicate you? No one "made" me a Sikh, therefore I don't think anyone can "unmake" me a Sikh...cept maybe God, but we're cool so no worries there.
  18. Well I guess I'll just throw in my two cents... I have plenty of friends that are keshdhari...infact we have a lot at my gurudwara, young guys that is. And I know a lot of them either have girl friends or have had em. What is interesting is that, I think all the girls cut their hair, were into makeup and all that stuff... Also a lot of the ones my friends went out with were just blah, had the personality of a rock, lol. So I guess I would say that girls like sardars, even ones that cut their hair, its more of what they grew up with. If they grow up around sardars, regardless of whether they cut their hair or not, they won't be adverse to the idea of going out with one.
  19. I think I've established why I keep my hair in other threads, but as for the pagh... umm...cause what else would I cover my head with? Gotta keep the kesh in order, and pagh does just that....besides we have a history of wearing paghs...why change to if the next best alternative is a trucker cap or somethin'
  20. Then I'd tell you to wake up and smell the coffee.....
  21. very yummy. Looks like a Krispy Kreme.. it is just deep fried dough, smothered in a goey sugar coating....kinda like eating lard dipped in sugar....or drinking oil with sugar mixed in...great for your heart when you eat 3 on your own like people here..lol
  22. ghosts? I don't know, doesn't this sound kind of silly...that ghosts are bothering people...
  23. Interesting that you are working towards one as well TO. I think it might be interesting in even having a federation of sorts if we get others associations to cooperate...Of course this is a very farsighted plan....once the basics are up and running.
