I wouldn't completely dismiss palm reading, tea leaf reading or any form of astrology.... just depends on your circumstances like this one: So this girl who was in uni, fourth yr (not me) went out with her friends for coffee one day, and at the cafe there was a tea leave reader. So they all went to get their futures predicted eh.... The girl went up and the reader said to her that that month (it was April) she would meet her future husband, and that they would get married by the next year, and that later on she would have three of one type and one of the other (children)...She din't even think closely about it because she was still in uni, and wasn't thinking about marriage Lo and behold that Vasakhi the girl was introduced to a guy, and they got engaged that year, married the next, had three girls and one boy.... Dudes, that was my mother, and her future was plainly spilt out for her.... My mom tried to find the lady after her engagement occurred but she never was able to locate her...... Weirdness eh.....

Awww.... poor tableji.... I finished my exams last week ... Unfortunately now i have to wait for my marks which r taking forever to come.....and then on top of it i started work this week (full time....) and my eyes hurt from looking at the comp 8hrs a day...... Hope everyone else is doing better.....

I think that the probability of life on other planets is great.... It just doesn't make sense to have just one planet out of millions of other planets have life... there's gotta be more out there

Yes, i totally agree with u there 'lil ji... by the way Happy Belated Bday... And, i think that countries like the US/UK/Canada, could not afford to do such a thing because it's banning all religious head wear from Turbans to the hijabs and the hats the muslim men wear and the caps that jewish men wear (i'm sorry, but i don't know the proper term for it)..... But to put an all our ban on those head wears would get the government into deep trouble because most of the support that they get is from immigrants, and that would be like puttin a nail through ur own foot.... so yeah... thas my two cents

Ok, so i was reading through the archived discussion on Kirpan da amrit, and so far have still gotten a mixed feeling for it, just wondering, how is it different from khande da amrit? I know the preparation is different, but then how is it different afterwards, what is a person supposed to do?

Dear the english man If she is not practising her religion and u r not as well, there should be no problems, (even otherwise shouldn't bother).... But as w/ any family it's hard for parents to overcome their own knowledge and look wider for the benefits of their children (esp. daughters)... As she is 31 and u 35, i believe that you are old enough to start your family as you desire.... parents will be upset for some time, but seeing their daughter happy overtime, they will come around.... Time is the best healer in such a case

So could someone clarify the difference btw kirpan da amrit and khanda da amrit? and also how come some rehit namas are against it and some for? like why is there all this confusion.... isn't sikhi supposed to be more of a clear cut path....i'm lost
