  1. Singh 47, your previous posts do not explain what the term '96 Crore' means. You have utilised this term while refering to the sikhs of old, but not explained what this term actually means.
  2. Looks like Mugz has a fan. Seeing that you are keen on using this term, perhaps Singh47 could explain what '96 Crore' actually refers to?
  3. What exactly do you mean by "96 Crore Shaheed Singhs" and "Purataan Sikhs". What do you consider as being "puraatan"? pre-19th century? pre-18th century? ..btw, it may be worth reading what you wrote earlier with regards to Shastar Vidiya. Sounds like you're contradicting yourself now in an attempt to make ammends. I would advise you to actually see Shastar Vidiya for yourself before making pathetic comments. If you cant make it to the UK, or you cant visit Nihang Niddar Singh when he makes visits to the USA, then its probably wise not to prove to everyone that you're a hollow vessel.
  4. The concept of Rakhri is very much a kyshatriya concept, and yes it is practiced by many (not all) Nihang Singhs. Some even tie rakhris to their weapons, horses, nishaan sahibs..etc. Symbolic of affection, bandagi and devotion.....in the past women tied rakhri on their husbands to wish them good luck in battle or hazardous journeys, sisters tied it on their brothers for good luck. At the end of the day affection and devotion is expressed in a myriad of forms...thats the beauty of humanity as created by Akaal Purakh..
  5. Well, shaka, as you are aware, when you, I and others suggest that people are being ignorant, we are in turn accused of being 'arrogant' (or sarcastic comments, insults and the role of Nihangs in 1984 is the order of the day). We all suffer from ignorance, but hopefully with Guru Maharaj's kirpa we can destroy ours through effort. Perhaps its best to let such people remain in their own world and move on.
  6. 'Panj Shastar Dhar Dehi Pai, Kripan Gatre Rakh Karad Bhet Bin Paan Nahi, Akaal Bhaav Sat Baakh' Keeping the five weapons on body, in the sword-belt he keeps a sword. Without dipping his dagger in food and uttering Immortal God's name he does not eat. (Rehitnama, Akali Nihang Singh Khalsa 96 Crore Budha Dal Weapons License Pg 11) The 'Panj Shashtar' as per Akali Nihang Singh Khalsa Maryada are: a) chakra teer khanda c) bank d) kripan They are worn by men around the top-knot (which is wrapped with a dark blue keski). Their significance varies according which Nihang you speak to, but they are considered as both symbolic and functional.

  8. Shastar Vidiya is designed for the battlefield, Savya Rakshah designed for the street for effective self defence as a last resort. Neither are designed for winning "points" or "competitions". NB: Tha Hadh Torh Challenge is not a competition as there is no prize to win.
  9. Lets make a comparison with the current evidence... 1. Gatka Gatka is an ancient battle-tested martial art, which uses the sword as its primary weapon. Today, it exists exclusively amongst the Sikhs who have passed down the flamboyant techniques through generations, ensuring their survival despite mass persecution over 200 years. Gatka is a complete martial system which helps the individual with all aspects of their life: mind, body and soul. The techniques involved are extremely effective as well as visually spectacular. WarriorSaints.com is the website of "Bhai Fauja Singh Gatka Akhara" which is a Gatka school that has been teaching Gatka in northern England (UK) since 1991. It specialises in all four aspects of Gatka, with primary focus on real-life techniques of knife, stick and sword combat. As well as Gatka tuition, the school also performs Gatka displays for organisations such as the Yorkshire Playhouse and the Royal Armouries, as well as for various other events around the UK. Fight choreography for film or stage productions is a recent addition to our services. Videos: http://www.warriorsaints.com/media/ (above taken from www.warriorsaints.com) 2. Sanatan Sikh Shastar Vidiya: Sanatan Sikh Shastar Vidiya, is the secret Indian battlefield combat art of the Akali Nihang Singh Khalsa Sikhs of the Punjab. The Akali Nihang Singh Khalsa are the warriors of the Sanatan (traditional) Sikh world... Videos: http://www.shastarvidiya.org/video/video.html Singh47 and co...now, please examine the evidence, and please let us know why you think Shastar Vidiya is not puratan and how (and why) it has been "made up". (Try not to bring up 1984, cannabis and meat if possible)
  10. Hari According to the legitimate martial arts experts (as opposed to self-proclaimed experts), Shastar Vidiya is seen as an historically viable combat art. Those who think otherwise should consider the following: a) If 'Gatka' is the real art, then does this mean that Guru Gobind Singh ji spent his time on the battlefield cutting bananas and carrots blindfolded and dancing to strobe lights and dhols? Did great warriors such as Akali Nihang Baba Phoola Singh go around bashing his sword on shields? If this is the case than his sword at Sach Khand Sri Hazoor Sahib which was used in battle should not have the sharp edge and condition that it does. c) How does one explain the vast array of weapons spoken of within scriptures and ancient texts yet 'Gatka' doesnt even cater for 10% of them? If Shastar Vidiya isnt the real purataan art, then what is? Perhaps its Wing Chun or Kick Boxing or maybe the Sikhs of old just used harsh language? d) If mainstream Sikhs are not willing to learn the art for fear of the ideology that accompanies the Shastar Vidiya, then by nature, the art will go beyond Sikhs. As Guru Ji said, rehit (ie, maryada and traditions) are more beloved to him than a Sikh. e) Those individuals such as Singh47 who claim that Shastar Vidiya is a hoax and is not "purataan" should present evidence to support their claims rather than crying about Nihangs and meat/cannabis/1984 etc. f) This art is open to ALL...I guess thats why some individuals are unhappy due to the fact that it is not restricted to "amritdhari" sikhs, as such no one has a monopoly on it. g) If Sikhs had kept up their Shastar Vidiya, then perhaps the tragedies of 1984 would have been avoided because Sikhs would be better tacticians, better diplomats, more intellectually astitute and would not have been played like puppets. Much disaster could have been avoided. h) A woman and/or child can be taught how to defend themselves from rape, attack, burglery, robbery, molestation, etc within 2 hrs in a Shastar Vidiya Saviya Rakshah class...perhaps they should make use of the resource and think of the long term benefits. There will always be time to bad-mouth Nihangs later
  11. Try not to let your ignorance of Sikh history get the better of you...
  12. ...fighting for land...must be a jatt thing
  13. Sanatan Sikh Shastar Vidiya has finally gained recognition as a serious combat art amongst serious martial artists. We invite individuals such as the pro-gatka posse, MKhalsa and Co, etc. who have in the past accused Nihang Niddar Singh of "making up" Shastar Vidiya to come forward and present their evidence rather than resorting to name calling and slander. For example: http://forums.waheguroo.com/index.php?act=ST&f=8&t=6399&st=0
  14. soon... got a lot coming...and as always timing is critical too
  15. Thats jtsingh being a bit desi and not paying for the hosting without banners...it'll be fixed once he's back in the UK.
  16. Glad to hear the positive reaction. Credit should go to those Mahapurshes who have kept the Sewapanthi maryada alive despite the hostile forces that have attempted to assimilate them.

  20. Well, that sounds similar to sections within Kalki Avtar...cannot say for certain without more information
  21. How can a jatha that has no knowledge of raag, nor sing kirtan in Raag be an expert on the authenticity of the RAAGMALA? jeez... Next we will have vegans teaching us about the taste sensations of meat...
  22. Is that the perspective of ALL muslims, of just the ones you interact with? When a faith has so many different sects, cults and factions, who decides who is "true" to the faith and who isnt? For that matter, what denotes a "proper muslim"? Using an example closer to our doctrines, depending on what kind of "Sikh" you speak to, Udhasis, Naamdharis, etc. (for example) may be considered as "Sikhs" or not.
