yeah... but i think in general most of the videos on desicomedy & currycomedy are too long & they are orientated solely around the whole western-punjabi crossover, which has been covered to death by goodness gracious me, the real mccoy, bend it like beckham, anita & me, american desi etc... it's time for something new!! :wink:

is anyone here interested in helping make some comedy videos? possibly similar to those found on www.currycomedy.com, www.desicomedy.com & www.phonebashing.com ... but funnier!! i've got loads & loads of ideas, but need help to get them off the ground. let me know if u wanna join me . things we need... 2/3 camcorders to get different angles (preferably digital, for ease of editing) ppl with some skill with video/sound editing cameramen (camerawomen also acceptable!) actors - if u don't mind making a pratt of yourself in front of the camera lens & can keep a straight face! (also advantageous if u can act!) props possible venues lots more stuff i can't think of right now. let me know if u're interested in any of the above or if u have any good ideas... either reply to this thread or pm me. i've already got a few people together. 8)

(not sure about the motivation behind it), but it reminds me of a sakhi about guru gobind singh ji. i read it in a booklet from sikh missionary society... can't seem to find it at the moment, so i can't say what their source is. abbreviated version of the sakhi: singhs riding along, guru gobind singh ji dismounts & bows down towards a muslim fakirs tomb. the singhs say "wa gwan? u told us never to bow to tombs!" ggsj says "yeah... what u gonna do about it?" then the singhs give ggsj a punishment (a fine i think). ggsj later says he did it to test the singhs & find out if they followed him as a personality or whether they followed dharam. does this show that ggsj wanted singhs to follow the message instead of the messenger, or was it something more fundamental... and he was demonstrating that we should question everything (even the guru) & not to accept anything as absolute truth. something i've been pondering of late... any thoughts?

i don't know about tattoo's being against any maryada... but then i'm not the best person to ask. also, i doubt i'd get one... for the sole reason that if i decide i don't like it later on, it'll be hell to get off.

this is a pretty funky tattoo... having a tattoo is a means of expressing yourself & your individuality... just like which clothes u wear, except a little more permanent. i see it as a form of art. if u want one, that's cool... if not, that's cool too (*cough* *cough*... sissy... *cough)
