  1. VaheGuruJiKhalsaVaheGuruJiKiFateh! jjj i have do admit i do think exactly like you in some phases in my life... i feel like renouncing everything and everyone and just having that all important fundamental FAITH in Maharaaj. But that thinking does not last... wether that is for the better or not i dont know. But its difficult put in to practice. I do agree that not everyone has the faith they should. i apologise for my earlier remarks.. the products of an unclear mind.
  2. VaheGuruJiKaKhalsaVaheGuruJiKiFateh! lol @ unknown-girl ... i have to agree some what with her... jjj bruv if we do not try then how will we ever achieve? If we do not take that 1STEP towards Maharaaj how will he take them 100,000STEPS towards us... You put ur heart and soul into loving Maharaaj and doing seva and keeping rehit... he will bless us... in ways we wont comprehend so easily... but the jigsaw puzzles will fall into place slowly... As for unquestioning parents  and listening to their every command even if its to stop you taking Amrit... i dont think thats as wise as you make out. E.g your parents arent very scrict in rehit and/or do not know the purantan rehits you have aknowlegded... then they find out ur not an orthadox Sikh or Khalsa... they will you stop your purantan ways and ur maryada? when to you its the truth and to them its nonsence??? i dont think i would.... cant speak for any1 else... if my parents ever stopped me or tried to stop doing anything that Dasmesh pita Maharaaj Akali Nihang Guru Gobind Singh Ji wanted his Khalsa fauj to do... i would listen to my FATHER... Akali Nihang Guru Gobind Singh Ji !!!
  3. VaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa VaheGuru Ji KI Fateh! what type of body? :?
  4. VaheGuru ji Ka Khalsa VaheGuru Ji Ki Fateh! Thanks lallesh and challenger.... i dnt feel at home with this "ferengi" Khalsa style as Narsingha called it once lol. Ive been thinking about all the information passed down to the youth by elders other youths and so called "contraversial" people such as ur selves. ive got my own mind and i know what i think is correct to my mind and will one day soon try follow it fully... to the disappointment of many people i know but i guess it doesnt matter... Are there any registered Nihangs in this country>? Apart frm Nihang Niddar Singh? if so whom? would it be difficult for a Nihang to live here?
  5. VaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa VaheGuru Ji Ki Fateh! Enlighten this poor soul!! (looks at Lallesh, Narsingha and challenge_everything) I took Amrit this year will Maharaajs blessing... but if i wish to follow Nihang Maryada and live Like Akali Nihang Khalsa do i have to retake amrit. Because the Panj Pyaarey told me i can not eat mass, not even CHATKA.. so what happens then if in war, and famine or survival situations? Could Panj Pyaarey over ride that if i choose to adopt new maryada? i originally want to take Amrit from some Nihangs but i didnt know if their are any Amrit administering Nihangs in the UK... Are they?
  6. ha ha ha ha... now we know the TRUTH!!
  7. GurFateh. I dont deny the fact Khalsa Warriors ate meat and did bhang and opium, taking in to account Panth Prakash translations. Question to Lalleshvari and challenge_everything: So what kinds of animals did the hunt and eat? Did they chatka just goats, in times of peace? did the singhs take goats with through jungles whilst at war or something? wild boar or some small gazzelle type creature is all i can think of, that would be roaming about in a jungle.
  8. Gurfateh. Respect bruv... ur pretty hand with the old grey box arent you!?! lol
  9. GurFateh. Fish has lots of fat in, not necessarily saturated fat but lots of mono and poly unsaturated fats. They are not bad, good infact, if eaten in moderation. (like everything) Lalleshvari why do you say cheese is bad? cottage cheese made with skimmed milk is very good for you, loaded with protein and calcium, importanting for growing teens and active adults.
  10. oh s**t. i didnt know that was guna happen. its bloody huge.
  11. GurFateh. thanx penj appreciate it... ive attached a pic.
  12. GurFateh. Silly question i know but im not very computer literate. what would the url be? could someone tell me how to get a picture from my computer documents to be an avter on this site? laugh away...
  13. GurFateh. Cheers Narsingha and challenge_everything. The info u posted is quite interesting. The book Warrior Saints aslo has quotes from britsh and european soldiers talking about the Akaalis and the Nihangs. Got me well pumped when they describe the warriors and how they feared they would be "eaten" by these "monsters" lol. And sodhi... that dude was a HUGE ... but could he fight? lol
  14. GurFateh. High protein low carb = cottage cheese. Lots of protein. my staple food. Nutrional info per 100g: Protein - 12g Carbohydrate - 4.5g Fat (saturated) - 1-2g* *depending on brand I am eternally thankful to the Lord for sending it my way... otherwise i wud be spending a small fortune on whey protein powder. i consume bout 1kg per day.
  15. Can any one quote any descriptions of the Khalsa Warriors from Pracheen Panth Prakash? Or indeed any other historical source. After the issue of wether its practical to be muscle bound or not and to what extent... Narsinga could you help me out here as you mentioned something similar previously. I have heard some good history but that was from Nidar Singh at the Akhara but have not been able to go again unfortunatley. Being someone who trains, it is always a problem for me to decide weather to get bigger or smaller. I naturally carry weight and so have more muscle would be benfical in boosting basal metabolic rate. i have to do lots of cardio n watch my diet like a hawk to stay lean, but it doesnt last long as my weight yo yos up and down. some indication of Khalsa Warrior perpective on the ideal warrior physique would be helpful. i thank everyone in advance. oh and take it frm me bodybuilding makes u vain... egomaniac... not good for the soul.
  16. GurFateh. My SPGC? Im not part of them nor affiliate with them. Yes im new to the Path and have much to learn. What grey zones are you talking about? What is it particular that makes you uncertain if kesh means only particular part of bodily hair and not all of it?
  17. GurFateh. We do not know how long we are to live, even though it seems far fetched it isnt when you think of all the "close calls" you have had i.e car accidents, assualts, illness etc. Don not miss the opportunity to take Amrit and find out what we are really hear for. After all we all promised Akaal Purak that we would Jap Naam before we took birth ( not sure what bhangthee this is from) but it seems everyone is inevitably corrupted by Kalyug at some stage in their life.
  18. GurFateh. Why would Guru Ji want us to keep some hair and trim/remove other hair? I thought submitting to the will of God was to leaver the hair intact as it is? Keeping some ahir and removing other hair seems like hipocracy to me... empty ritualism which in the end will no where because it is a half hearted attempt at obeying the Hukam we are ment to follow. They are alot of people maniplulating translations so it suits them and they only know best because they can speak, read wrtie the languages alot better than others. An abuse of power it seems to me. :?
