  1. those that attack the khalsa [rebels etc] shall be pulverised/killed.
  2. how bout telling us which uni? dates times would also be nice.
  3. dudes, what u tick for question 6. Im got 96.4. dynamic, that chicken still runing in ur pic, its got a longer life expectancy then you. you prob die of hunger i reckon.
  4. tupak are firearms, the kirpan is still and advantage, only to those that know how to use it, most people carry it becasue of "symbolic" reasons, the kirpan is not at all symbolic, it is a shaster and is used to defence to kill the enemy. Although it has its advantages of being called symbolic too. (i.e when ur being searched randomly 7 times for walking in NY airport while waiting for a connecting flight back home...... ) any hows, as most people will prob not get that, i reckon you should keep up with the times, there are guns about, but in england you cant carry them around, but you can practice using them at certain clubs. same with archery
  5. table skin has always has been of leather, and if its used in the gurdwara, so what, Guru sahib didnt have a problem with it when he used to sit an listen to kirtan. So why should we... traditionally, the bows hair wear made from animal tails, these are used in tradition indian instruments like dilruba, sarangi. The vaja was introduced later and is actaully a german instrument.
  6. hmm, i think i know what you mean, but i dont know exactly what you mean, if you know what i mean. some things just cant be expressed as words, either you get it or dont, i reckon free will hukam etc is one of those topics that cant be described by words only understood.
  7. when i took amrit, never could read panjabi, never done the whole reht thing etc, it comes to you slowly, personally im a lazy arse and knew that if i didnt take it, i wouldnt push myself to learn my paath etc.
  8. All the bhagat's are Sikh, the whole world is Sikh. mu ha ha ha ha ha ha. ON a serious note.... if you look at some of the banis by the Bhagats, and then bani by our Guru's, some of the lines are very similar, eg, Kabir Ji writing one of dying such a death that you never have to die again (talkin about the reincarnation stuff), Guru Amar Das Ji also has a similar line, i will try to find these. You cant just read one part of bani and take the core meaning, some are interlinked and you get a deeper understanding by reading more and more. THe more you read it, the more deeper you will go, personally, sikhitothemax, is a ok start, but honestly, it confuses more people then it does help, the tranlatiosn are not that good. The url TRUTH gave is good. i know its 6000 pages of pdf, but if you read only 20 odd A4 pages a day, you will complete it within a year. only 20 pages of A4, you prob read more then that on this forum.
  9. The truth remains the truth in all cases, those that seek the truth will surely one day find it. But in the mean time, kaal has it ways of stoping you, One which is doubt!! for example, people cant critise bani directly, instead they use the notion of doubt, is it bani, or isnt it?? etc. this make u wonder about if it is or isnt instead of trying to get the concept of what Guru Sahib is tring to say. the main point that im saying is, absorb everything knowlegde wise thrown at you, try to understand it, if its beyond you, move on, and hopefully one day you may get, then using this knowledge you've acquired, You make up Your mind, and live by it. Gurbani is def a good base to start, its from the source, you cant get better then that. If you doubt that..... up to you, but 'Dhurki Bani Aye', either u belive it or dont, but if you dont, dont reject it straight away, absorb all the knowledge u need to make up ur mind first, and if your still not satisfied, ah well.
  10. re-reading, found it, its not in akal ustat but in Ramavtar, sorry for the mistake before. Unfortunatly, dasamgranth.org does not have the whole 24 incarnations online, but it is in the steeks, in the 24 incarnations (full version, not online version) is the ramavatar needed. I can type if up if people want to read it, otherwise, if you can get a copy of Dasam Sri Guru Granth Sahib, then got to panna 254 about half way down. That would make life easier. enjoy peeps.
  11. Choubis Avtar, not sure what panna. i think i may have made a mistake on the svayia thing. I was talking about the 33 svaiyas, not sure if 'Ram rahim puran quran, anek kahe mat ek na maneyo'' comes in that, will have a re-read just to check.
  12. the first bani i read and enjoyed memorised was Jaap Sahib, ever since then, been reading dasam bani more. sri guru granth sahib ad darbar is all cool too, but if you plan on understanding all of that first, you got a huge job, i suggest reading 24 incarnations in dasam bani and various bani with referecne to harnkish/pralaad etc. you'll enjoy it more and understand it
  13. take about high targets.. lol im still stuck at the contents page.
  14. lol, i am a nutter arnt i, prob why we get along then, by the way, dude, where my car?? but neo you replied too soon, i was was trying to remember a quote of gurbani that mentions this, and found this just a moment ago as i recived the norply sikhawareness email lol. enjoy. http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=3252
  15. cousin IT from adams family has cool hair, wonder what shampoo she uses. Any1 seen/used that smelly green stuff from india, alma or something, mix that with Mustad oil, then stay away from all you mates cos you'll prob stink for a while. hmm.
  16. most cases for shasters were made from leather, some of shoes, leather, Sheilds, Rhino Hide, even the tendens in the tails of animals were used as rope and when you put a bit of saliva on it, it hardens and is excellent for tieing spear heads to 'lathis' poles; when you aint got no tools. When animals die, we get so much from them, wonder what you can do with a dead human? only a few a become donors, thats only if they die in hospital with electronic breathing equip. other then thats, cremate or bury.......
  17. i would recommend reading Raradox of Evil by M.S Cheema aswell. when i read it, came to the conclision that everything is binary, so as much good as there is evil. If there was no evil then what is good? we got nothing to compare good too?, so evil is good that we are able to compare, if we couldnt compare, then we would basically be boring. The book explains it better. Highly recommend reading it, only bout 20 odd pages a5. (note! book named raradox, not paradox, when we asked him, he gave some long speech about why, and the reason... um.. still dont get quite get it.)
  18. the film is wicked. 'those that live by the sword, get shot by those that dont.' the only thing i found odd was that they listened to the tutoo of a leader, (the skinny gay~ish dude) highlights of film for me personnaly. cutting dudes hair in the middle of the street. when the main character told to take his sword off, he said he rather leave. Although he should have just chopped that tutoos head off. would have liked to see more blood/guts, that many swords classing and not a pool of blood.... need more blood, esp like in braveheart when you see the guys face collapse when he gets hit with the mace. nice....
  19. http://www.gobindsadan.org/institute/dasam/pdf/v1_2.pdf page 20, top line. happy reading.
  20. Bagh naka. many difff types of them, but they can look very simalar just like katars looks the same, but each katar is made specfically for each part of the body, eg ribs, muscle, bone, intestines etc. Naka, single claw style. Many diff types sizes shapes. These are very good damala shasters, as dynamic said, they are used similar to damala shasters, neother of those pics are really of Damala Shasters (thats i know of). By the way, if you looks closely on the pic by iron, after starring at the pic for a while you will see a face, each shaster has its own characteristics, the face of this one is based on a lion, you have to imgine the hair. Try it.
