Mithar Posted October 10, 2008 Report Share Posted October 10, 2008 From what I have read about trench warfare, I think that it must have been the most difficult way of fighting a war for the ordinary soldier. Even a victory for either side usually meant only gaining a few kilometers at the cost of hundreds of thousands of men from both sides.
