Apparently they are based in Iran and during the Gaza conflict I started to watch this channel just to get the Arab perspective on the conflict. They do try and appear to be neutral by inviting Israelis to discuss the conflict but overall they tend to cut off any Israel who makes a good point. Unlike other channels the interviewer rather than be neutral actually attack the Israelis or anyone whose point is not the same as the Iranians or Arabs. They also have left wing 'Socialist Worker' type idiots on who regurgitate the same old tripe as the PA/Hamas people. They had a phone in programme during the conflict called Gaza and You which allowed people to phone in their views. Quite a few phone and the general views are that the holocaust never happened and that people should be happy when Jews or Zionists die! Although I must say the host of the programme does take some of the people to task. In that part of the world it is PC to actually deny the holocaust and anyone who disagree is probably a Mosad agent(according to them). And Galloway is like the Sunni Arab version of Bahadur Ali. Even though he's not an Arab Sunni, yet he will justify the most terrible of crimes commited by Sunni Arabs. I remember watching him say once that when Saddam used chemical weapons against Kurdish civilians was justified since Kurdish militants had helped the Iranians during the Iran-Iraq war. Thanks. okay sorry for insulting you, it wasnt meant to be an insult. I thought you would take it as a compliment. Think about it. Where as you are Pro Persian, Pro Shia he is Pro Arab and Pro Sunni. I sure am deeply in love with the Persian and the Indian civilizations in the same way I love French literature or German classical music. It doesn't mean that I consider all Iranians, Indians, French and Germans to be demi gods. During the summer Ahmadinejad said that academic titles were just a piece of paper when he defended his home minister who lied about having a PhD from Oxford. I felt deeply insulted because I know how much hard work lies in a PhD. And my Iranian colleagues in academia and in the press felt equally insulted. Hence why they wrote a letter of protest against Ahmadinejad. Just because someone has the lable Shi'a and Iranian doesn't mean they're perfect. I may be against the concept of Israel because it is the very negation of the spirit of Judaism, that doesn't prevent me from having Israeli acquaintances that I have met at SOAS or in Paris.They know my position about Israel it doesn't prevent me to have interaction with them when it comes to discussing literature. If you Mithar write something that is correct and just I will say that it is correct and just, even if I don't share your view of the world or might even be opposed to it.
