Power Of Nitnem Banis?

Recommended Posts

I have heard people get various different nitnems when they take amrit according to their situation, like people who can not read punjabi are told to listen to their banis or do mool mantar a certain number of times or do gurmantar a certain number of times. The phull is effected with the sharda and pwyare which we could measure if we have done our prayers in awe. So with alot of surt, concentration and attention are in that. But is there a difference in reading all 5 banis and say doing so many malas of gurmantar or moolmantar (or even do 5 japji sahibs) are we exposed a difference in shedding of haumai or shakti any material experience difference?

I don't think that any amount of Paath or Simran can substitute for nitnem. Nitnem is something that is Farz for a Sikh. We have to do this no matter what. We cannot eat breakfast in the morning without first doing morning nitnem. With practice we memorize it and our concentration also increases. Many Gursikhs once they memorize Nitnem who have increased their speed of reading Nitnem then add Sukhmani Sahib and Asa Di Vaar, some people do many Japji Sahibs. The more they read it the faster their speed gets and also the concentration on each and every word is increased. Simran of Gurmantar should also be done in addition to Paath and Nitnem, since doing Simran like nitnem is also farz.
