This was the conclusion of Cleve Backster back in the 1960s. He’s the former CIA interrogation specialist that connected polygraph sensors to plants and discovered that they reacted to harm (i.e. cutting their leaves) and even to harmful thoughts of humans in proximity to them. Backster decided on impulse to attach his polygraph electrodes to the now-famous dracaena in his office, then water the plant and see if the leaves responded. Finding that the plant indeed reacted to this event, he decided to see what would happen if he threatened it, and formed in his mind the idea of lighting a match to the leaf where the electrodes were attached. And that was when something happened that forever changed Baxter’s life and ours. For the plant didn’t wait for him to light the match. It reacted to his thoughts! Through further research, Baxter found that it was his intent, and not merely the thought itself, that brought about this reaction. He also discovered that plants were aware of each other, mourned the death of anything (even the bacteria killed when boiling water is poured down the drain), strongly disliked people who killed plants carelessly or even during scientific research, and fondly remembered and extended their energy out to the people who had grown and tended them, even when their “friends” were far away in both time and space. In fact, he found, plants can react “in the moment” to events taking place thousands of miles away. And not only are they psychic, they also are prophetic, anticipating negative and positive events, including weather. One of the most important things that Backster discovered was that, instead of going ballistic, plants that find themselves in the presence of overwhelming danger simply become catatonic! This phenomenon has posed endless problems for those researchers who, unlike Backster, do not respect the sentience of their subjects. Under such circumstances, the plants they are studying evince no reaction whatsoever. gdskler Posted August 8, 2014 Report Share Posted August 8, 2014 Fruitarian is a term that I coined referring to eating fruits from a tree. Yes you can pluck the fruit from the tree itself. Here the Tree want you to spread her seeds and in return she reward you with a nutrition fruits. [Just like the master feed the dog for a reward!] Wonder who is the dog. I am vegetarian for the last 6 years. Within 3 years become diabetic ( 29!), high triglycerides, belly from 33 inches to 38 (in 2 years) and now hovering between 42 to 43 inches. and having angina. breathlessness, slow, can't pick up things from the floor and mata tekh... just loved the mata tekhing and wish guru ji lift me up! Before being a vegetarian, I was active, able to getting up at amritvela, exercising & weights, etc. Diet consist of tuna fish, white eggs, meat. Currently toying with the idea whether shall I revert to meat eating (high protein low carb/no carb diet). However the only thing that is putting stop is whether one will loose the auto-naam simraan and certain babae had put a fear, "eat and you suffer now and afterlife" . wonder which is important: remain a vegetarian and suffer your body ( which give mental stress and unpeace spirit) or eat meat and suffer in your after life? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Before being a vegetarian, I was active, able to getting up at amritvela, exercising & weights, etc. Diet consist of tuna fish, white eggs, meat. It's quite simple, if being a vegetarian is not working for you, then don't do it. curious_man Posted August 21, 2014 Report Share Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) no , plants are self aware hey feel and communicate science has prooved ithttp://www.treehugger.com/gadgets/plants-are-talking-and-these-sensors-let-us-hear-what-theyre-saying.html science proves that a person cannot live without head.. i guess u know abt baba deep singh more that me.. science proves that grains do not have blood or milk, guru nanak ji proved science wrong.. science proves no soul... actually this is not abt science (vidya) its about brahmvidya.. wht guru sahib and gursikhs have said, wud never be wrong but you know science keeps changing..and this is what makes science progressive. again dont mix science into spiritual study, these are different fields like accounting science arts.. plants rocks are in 7th state of ignorance hence no dukh sukh, if it is supposed that they react because of pain on getting plucked then whts the use of such reaction if they have not evolved to move away, hide, make noise, send defence mechanism, so thts just a natural reaction. read some articles against this "pants hearing"!! oh yes.. i agree with bhagat singh : "It's quite simple, if being a vegetarian is not working for you, then don't do it." All or most shabads in Guru Granth Sahib were revealed because of Uthanka, which is the background situation arising to the need of the shabad.
