amardeep Posted December 21, 2015 Report Share Posted December 21, 2015 The Sufis have a tradition of describing the attributes of Allah as Jalal and Jamal, meaning Grace and Majesty. Two things that are often considered at odds. Some Sikh commentators also use the concept of Jalal and Jamal to describe the Shant ras and Bir ras bani of Guru Granth and Dasam Granth respectively.
