My only concern is that someone who is not an expert on both types of rabaab might end up teaching it to me like a sarod. Yet a kabuli rabaab doesn't seem to have the sustain for meends, etc. The persian (kabuli) rabaab music I've heard is much louder and faster. Perhaps I need to get a seli rabaab.
