But lineage aside we have to look at this as historical. There are also descendants of Guru Angad Dev Ji and other Sikh Gurus. It should not be shocking, many had children.

Looking at it generationally according to research, and having been some 13 generations since, at 3 children each, that's 1,594,323 descendants today per Guru Saibhan for a total of about 11 million descendants of Guru Saibhan...that all have to put that pride aside to become Sikhs..

There are not many descendants like Baba Vickram Aditya Bedi, his lineage is real, part of this that this branch had the benefit of Baba Shib Dayal Bedi who owned most of Saharanpur. Even today, an entire area of Saharanpur is called Ahata Baba Shib Dayal Bedi, the Bedi Compound is there, and the land under ITC is being returned to them. Two of the largest Gurudwaras in Saharanpur were built by them. Even the railroad station was built by them. He faced severe racism in the U.S. hopefully he moves to India.

The family tree of Guru Nanak Dev Ji actually only shows Baba Laxmi Chand the younger son having children. The Bedi line of Baba Vickram Aditya Bedi Ji and others did not record female members in the tree. The lineage was handed down via male members. Women generally did not marry as at this time, many felt it wrong to marry a daughter of the Guru Nanak Dev Ji. That only changed about 130 years ago. My Guani Ji was very interested in the lineage of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, so he taught us a lot about the various branches. One branch he discussed was Baba Vickram Aditya Bedi, his father Dr. Baba Dina Nath Bedi and their Great Grand Father Baba Shib Dayal Bedi, the history here was very interesting. I also studied the family trees of the Sodhis.
