LegendarySiKH Posted March 19, 2004 Report Share Posted March 19, 2004 If anyone remembers how much controversy that SGPC ban had caused due to Jazzy B's recent album "Sikhi Khandiyon Tikhi" in which he sings Dharmik songs and the dvd has shabads. (The Ban = No More Shabads from 'patit' singers or dharmik) Well, people were trying to defend Jazzy B and alot of people said what he was doing was good by releasing that cd, and the ban was ridiculous. Jazzy B recorded a new song, after releasing that. "Oye Bhakaray phir peeni sharaba Putt Sardaran De" First line of the song, Jazzy B states : "Jatta De Rab ve Darda" God is scared of Jatts. The point of this post was to support SGPC on their ban, due to the singers producing ridiculous songs like these. "Sikhi Khandiyon Tikhi" promotes sikhi, so a child will begin to listen to the music, only to come across such BS like this by the same singer. -Hareet and I recall MANY people were supporting Jazzy B on his CD release, and claimed he was different from all those singers that produce the same type of music and then go back to producing junk. So I Bring you this: J Skillz - Putt Sardaran De (Jazzy not only does he say, "Jattan De Rab Ve Darda" but also bashes the name of "Putt Sardaran De" claiming they [are]drunk...haha.
