Entheogens and Spirituality

I don't know if anyone else reads up on stuff like entheogens. There are many groups such as shamans (also certain bhuddist sects and hindu sects etc.), that have been using Entheogens sacredly (notice I didn't say "getting high for kicks") for thousands of years. The Rig Vedas has hymns based on Soma which is an Entheogen

Anyways what role do you think they have on the future of religon and mysticism? In my opinion they help us unite and raise our collective consciousness if taken under the right situation but government is making sure they won't allow that.

Nobody asked for anything new to say but we are here to discuss and this is the first topic specifically on entheogens here on SA. People were writing about almost everything before we were born so does that mean we shouldn't discuss them? Faulty logic Bruce.
