Taksal To Raise Sant Bhindranwale Memorials

Amritsar, September 14

Damdami Taksal has decided to raise first-ever memorial in the name of its former chief Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale in his ancestral village, Rode. The taksal will spend crores of rupees on the construction of the Gurdwara and other memorials.

The memorials will include Gurdwara Sant Khalsa, to be constructed at the birthplace of Sant Bhindranwale, apart from constructing a big school and a stadium in the village itself .

Talking to The Tribune here today, Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, chief of Damdami Taksal, said the foundation stone for the proposed gurdwara would be laid on September 17 by Giani Gurbachan Singh, Head Granthi of the Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar, Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, Baba Dya Singh Sur Singh Wale, Baba Narinder Singh Hazoor Sahib Wale and Baba Sarbjot Singh Bedi .

The Taksal chief said huge gates would be erected on all entry and exit points of the village.
