Does this shabad have a deeper meaning than the normal "don't indulge in brahminical rites" translation or not?

Jab eh gaye bipran ki reet mein na karoon in ki parteet.

The above means "When Khalsa adopts contrary ways (meaning when they go against Gurmat), they will loose my confidence/trust".

During Gurur ji's time the brahmins were greedy and only holy outwards, thus being hypocrites, can this also tie into this?

ਬਿਪ means a Brahmin, but it also means a Rishi (Saint).

ਬਿਪਰੀਤ - means ਉਲਟਾ (contrary).

ਬਿਪਰਨ does not exist in Mahan Kosh.

@amardeep - Can you please check Gur Giraarth kosh and see if this word is mentioned there?
