  1. Some words of Bhagat Kabir, which are full of wisdom and truth, working as a mirror and mind opener, for those who say that Shia Islam and Sikhee are similar, or Baba Nanak was a muslim..... What good are your purifications? Why do you bother to wash your face? And why do you bother to bow your head in the mosque? Your heart is full of hypocrisy; what good are your prayers or your pilgrimage to Mecca? You are impure; you do not understand the Pure Lord. You do not know His Mystery. Says Kabeer, you have missed out on paradise; your mind is set on hell. Sat Sree Akal.
  2. Whosoever says or induces others to think so, that Satguru Sachay Patshah Nanak Dev Maharaj was a muslim, has to be really dull in his mind.... Even a stone wolud be better than that person, as it does not say any such nonsense ..... To say, Baba Nanak was a muslim, is like someone trying to say that spring and winter are the same....and we all know that is not true, while spring(Gurmat) gives coolness and flowers as virtues(humility and purity)... The winter(manmukhta, moorakhta) only freezes the water .... So does it, in that way freeze any common sense left in the brains of the stupid moorakhs..... With each passing day, we do not get enough from these types of moorakhs ....and they go to the universities to teach Sikhee? These are the real yam doots, spreading anti gurmat among the jeevas in this already heavy and dark Kaliyug .... Do not listen these people, if anything is to be written and stamped in our hearts and minds, and passed on to the future generations, is at least the Mool Mantra as a solid base of foundation, to preserve the purity of Gurmat, rest all will take place in due time with His Hukum: Ik Onkar Satnam Karta Purakh Nirbhav Nirvair Akal Moorat Ajoonee Saibhang Guarparasd Jap. Sat Sree Akal.
  3. TRUE DEVOTION The whole world is absort in doing all types of poojas, paaths, jap, tap, yog and an endless list of outer practices, beleiving them to be bhakti, which will lead them to the Lord..... But, Dhan Dhan Satgur Nanak Dev Maharaj, in His Bani in Raag Sorath, tells us what type of only devotion we must perform, in order to please Wahiguru Akal Purukh and merge in Him. In a simple language, and few words,He summarizes us the essence of spirituality. Let your service be the focusing of your consciousness, and let your occupation be the placing of faith in the Naam. He says, the devotion you must perform is, the one which allows you to focus your attention, your soul consciousness on Him, and that "chakree", that devotion, is the Simran of His Naam. Other practices scatter our attention outside in the world, but the sacred practice of His Naam Simran, withdraws our attention from the mayavee world, and elevates it into the higher spiritual consciousness realms, and gradually from there on, with the aid of Shabad Guru, we are carried across all the stages of creation, till the end when we reach Sach Khand and Wahiguru Akal Purukh, gives us a huge embrace of Love, then only we merge in Him. Such is the wadeeayee of Him and His Naam.... Sat Sree Akal.
  4. Dear Ramgarhia, frankly speaking, either is one on the shore, or either is one in the Ocean. So now, what is shore and Ocean? Shore means, creation, and Ocean represents the infinite Wahiguru Akal Purukh. As long as we are not one with Him, we are all sikhs without any distinctions. And I say this, not referring to the typical frame understanding of this particular word. So who or what is a sikh also? Sikh basically means, a seeker. And as long as we have not merged and become one with Him, we are all seekers, independant of our caste, color or nationality... Because the sikh is our soul, which goes beyond the barrier death, while our bodies, our outer coverings, just turn into a handful of dust...that is truth of the bodily coverings... So, whether voluntarily by His Simran, of forcefully with the death, we leave back the bodies here and enter into the spiritual realms, we continue towards our destiny, with the aid of the Shabad Guru, that is Wahiguru in motion. Then as the Bani says, the light of that sikh, disciple, soul, blends with the Light of Shabd Guru into the formless Akhand Jot of Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Being moral and righteous in word speech and deed, is essential for our spiritual progress. Just as thirst is not related to any being of a particular place or time, so is humility and morality needed, for whomsoever wants to walk on the path of ruhaniyat, of course, and above all with the support of His Name. Sat Sree Akal.
  5. Brother, as a general rule: any place where He is not within our mind, that is a bad palce, at the same time any place where He is present in our mind, that place becomes sanctified. Places by themselves have not that importance, it is our attachment with Him, that counts. You see, He is as much present in the bad or good according to our perceptions... not because we think bad of someone, so He too will leave that person. That is a vey limited and a narrow minded vision. Through Gurmat, let us broaden our minds. He is our only relation, our only Beloved, all else is koor, is fanah.... And do understand, that Wahiguru is first within us, all other places are vaccum, consciousless, made of the 5 perishable tatwas or elements. That is why the Bani says: Har mandir ehu sareer hae, gyan ratan pargat hoe. So you see, you yourself are a temple in motion, wherever you move to, you carry Wahiguru with you there, then, what is left outside? Naturally only a handful of dust .... So you see, usually we people tend to do what we have heard, what we have seen and observed, but the fact is, usually we are blindly follwing the blind..... So, let us listen, and read the Bani of our Guru Sahibans as much as possible with love, to allow their Amrit Bachans go deep into our beings by acting accordingly to it , thus we will surely derive benefits at all levels, from their utter Truthful and sublime Gyan. Sat Sree Akal.
  6. Dear gdskler, what is there to fear about? If He has blessed you with ajaapa jap, then stay there as much time as possible in that state.... Havent´you seen or read of rishis staying in that state for days, even months? You see, when you stay in that state, one is like a baby in His arms. No hunger, no thirst, no pain, no sufferings, no karmas, mind or kal can interfere in those moments...what else do you want man? It is the most blissful state. From your post I perceive, you are like a child learning to walk in spirituality. Do not fear, with His Simran, you are holding His hand, now your next step should be to make yourself stronger in this field, so that in due time, you will not only walk or run fast, but even fly within, in the subtle spiritual planes, without you noticing it.. Once there, pray to Him sincerely, so that He may give you His Darshan, and guide you further until His Dham Sach Khand. In my opinion, that is all you have to do, nothing more. But at the same time thank Him with your heart, for being so Dayal. And once in His sharnagatee, through ajaapa jap, He takes care of all our affairs, whether swarthee or parmarathee. So now you tell us, what else if anything left that you think you have got to do? Do not attempt to do anything, that would be manmat, just leave yourself in His Mauj, and see how beautifully He makes you like Himself, that is His beant wadeeayee. Sat Sree Akal.
  7. We have heard many a times, God is Love and Love is God. Having said that, Wahiguru Akal Purukh is an Infinte Ocean of Love, of which the soul is a drop in essence. So naturally the soul, at some time or other feels fed up from the mayavee creation, is restless and has a longing within to merge in its origin.... Saints throughout the history, have explained the relation between the soul and the Lord with diferent names, but with the same common factor as a link: Love. Christ described the relation between the two as Father and Son. Sree Ramakrishna as Mother and Son. Others, as Master and devotee And in the Bani, with quite a wider range of different names, each sweeter than the other to that same relation,: Tum maat pitah, hum barik tere; Him, addresed by the sikh/ soul as: Pyara Preetam, Mitter, Sajjan As Purukh, just as an husband to the wife soul.... But the thing is, that sentiment of Love, has not to be expressed with mere words, it needs a force/action behind it. We can not cheat Him. Just as in between any loving relation, the main factor to draw and hold them closer, is the time factor. So is the same with our beloved wahiguru Akal Purukh. And it is by the means of devotion in the form of His Simran, stay near Him closely, and tell Him, in His language of Love, Wahiguru I love you the most alone. It is from His Bhakti, that true love will be generated. Outer Love, and faith are most welcome, but we people are so selfish , that at the slightest karmic jerk, we tremble and turn our faces from Him ..... But in His Bhakti, His Simran, He blesses us with His Daya Meher, and strenghtens that our fragile initial love for His Lotus Feet. The Bani says: Anter Jot, Niranter Bani, Sachay Sahib siu Liv laaee. This means, when one progesses a bit on the path of devotion within, there comes a time, when with His Grace, we see His Akhand Jot and His melodious Voice as Anhad Shabad. And as the Bani says, when we reach that stage, our kachha(weak) prem is converted into Pakka(solid strong) prem . Then no matter what may come or happen, we shall not waver. Then too, we must keep in mind, we are not all at the same stgaes, each one of us has our own past sanskaras, karmas , kamaee... While some do not believe at all, others are satisfied with rituals, symbolisims, dogmas, pilgrimages, fastings, yog, jap, tap, bathing in so called holy waters.... still a fewer, will take the Bani as Sat Bachan, and put into action what our Guru Sahibans have said in the Bani left for us, by laying supreme importance to His Simran, as the key to enter the spiritual realms and reach our destiny Wahiguru Akal Purukh. You see, the teachings of Gurmat are the same for all the beings, but then the relation with Him, is different with each being. Wahiguru loves all as equal, but we manmukhs, are solely responsible for getting nearer to Him , or going away from Him, with our attitude in life, with our karmas, with our thoughts of benevolence towards all.... Only by starting being good here, can we expect to become wholly good as Him, in order to merge in Him. There is a saying, knowledge has no limits ... so I think, if anyone here posts some type of techniques to improve one´s concentration, one`s attention within, there is no harm, rather we should welcome them, as maybe for sure, to most of us, it going to be helpful at some time. Some people are more intelectual, so they need this type of explanations, some are blessed devotees, to them His Name is most sweet and lovely, they need no other knowledge, for them His name is channting, jap, tap, technique and everything. So as long as we are not confused and apply ourselves diligently and faithfully to our comfort levels, all infomation regarding spirituality is most welcome. Anyhow, needless to say, He is the center of everything. Everything revolves around Him. So anything we do, if that takes us nearer to Him, it is o.k, if it leads us to just mere intelllectualism and haume, then better leave it. As long as any practice takes our attention within, fine, if it entagles us with maya and mind...then it is not good. There are some noble souls here doing a preety good job, by trying to give their best as humans beings in giving a helping hand to the best of their abilities.... That is selfless sewa, and it is praise worthy.... May Wahiguru´s blessings be on them, and all the rest always, it is an Ardas from this das, at His Lotus Feet. Sat Sree Akal.
  8. Bhagat Jee, spelling would be faulty, if it was one word. But no, these are 2 words. One is braham, which means, doubt, illusion, falseness, transitory..... it is so, because in Brahmand, the power ruling under the hukum of Wahiguru, is the Universal Mind, or call it Braham. You see, if one is not well versed with spirituality through Gurmat, those souls, who by jap, tap, yog, reach the initial spiritual stages, they are deluded by the Universal mind or Kal, who makes them believe with its refulgence, they have reached the last stage of their destination. So those souls even after so much hardships still get stuck in the web of mind and maya. Usually the ruling power here in the causal region is known as Braham or Kal. Braham is not my invention, and exists as a reality, that is why the Bani uses many a times the word Parbraham, for example when Dhan Dhan Satguru Arjun Dev Maharaj says : ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਮਨ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਗਹੀਜੈ ਰੇ Paarabreham Pooran Paramaesur Man Thaa Kee Outt Geheejai Rae पारब्रहम पूरन परमेसुर मन ता की ओट गहीजै रे He is the Supreme Lord God, the Perfect Transcendent Lord; O my mind, hold tight to the Support of the One. He is telling us that, that reality, that power, beyond the region of Braham, is the Tue Lord Wahiguru, thus only is called Paarbraham, because it is beyond the reach of mind, maya, births and deaths . And it is to this Power, beyond Braham, to which Guru Jee is point us, to which we should devote and meditate, thus free our souls from the cycle of 84, not otherwise. Parbraham is to Braham, what day is to night, or what Truth is to untruth. So paa jee, as per the title of the thread, Sach Khand, the realm of Truth, can only be where Parbraham Pameshwar is, not below it. Some write Parmeshwar, some Parmeswar... but it is the same thing. But Braham, or Brahmn with N in the end, as you mention, are two different things. The term Brahamn you refer is to the Supreme Power, the term Braham I refer, is referred to the power reiging in the second region or causal plane and below it. So as far as I understand, there is no faulty spelling mistake, and if any doubt, look the whole context with a broader view, you will see, that while I am reffering to one thing, you perceived it from a different perspective. I do not blame you, myself in the begining, used to mistake with similar words, as Braham, Brahma, Brahman or Brahmn ....until slowyly, and with the help of Bani, I came to undestrand a bit of all these things and differentiate them. I know nothing of sanskrit, nor any other sciences .... for me Gurmat is the perfect science and perfect religion. If anything needed, it is Gurabani I refer to, to satisfy my spiritual thirst and hunger, and believe it, it is more than enough Parsad, at least for me. I do not like to go into discussions, though on spiritual topics they maybe, they lead nowhere, just ego boosting and unncessary misunderstandings. So brother Bhagat Jee, if you are clear with what you think correct, then you are mubarak, cause I am no one to make you understand or convince you, it is all under His Hukum. Sat Sree Akal.
  9. Why the need for prayer? Once some asked God: Why do we have to pray if everything is wriiten by you? And God replied: well, I have also written, conditions apply.....
  10. Dear Ragmala, you must bear in mind, that since we have left our Father´s House, Sach Khand, we have been collecting dirt on our souls. And this has been since countless aeons.... So do you really think or anybody that with some time given to simran, one can wash all of one´s huge filth? The mind has been wandering since then, not even for a second it has stopped to rest ... it is continously runnig outside in the maya powered by the 5 vikars ... so however one´s strong efforts maybe in bhakti, believe it, we by ourselves, can never ever reach or have any spiritual achievements... So then what to do? Leave yourself as "kookar" at His Door without wavering .... It is by the water of His Daya Meher, that we can be washed and become pure paviter. You see, when you say it seems you have gotten no where ..... remove away even those thoughts, because in that way, we are not totally given in His Dhyan, as we are still conscoius of ourselves of not having seeing or feeling anything .... In His bhakti, we have to behead ourselves, not literally, but, means to be motionless, mindless ..... then when the haume, or I /me vanishes with His Simran, only He remains.... and then we shall have His Darshan. Sat Sree Akal.
  11. Excuse me Bhagat Singh, my sentence above is not faulty at all. Let me clarify a little bit more that my statement. First of all, I am talking about khands, planes or regions as per the other thread, where the O.P was talking about Sach Khand. See, I am using the word Brahmand, not Brahmn, as you mention. I have found a suitable and satisfactory answer on the net, to what is reffered as Brahmand, as well as other regions at the same time, and to which I very much agree. There are four divisions of Creation, as seen from the top: The first one is Sach Khand: there where is absolutely Pure Spirit and refulgence = Wahiguru Akal Purukh / Nirankar/ Satnam. The second one:is Brahm and Maya Desh (Brahmand), there where is admixture of Universal Mind and pure Maya, with Surat or spirit, this region is called Brahmand, which has nothing to do with the word Brahmn as you mention. While you refer to level of Consciousness with the term Brahmn; with the word Brahmand, I mean to say , the plane where that level of consciousness(universal mind and maya) permeates. This Brahmand, is also known by many as the Causal region. The third one is called And or known as the astral plane. The fourth one is: Pind, where spirits(souls) are clothed in coarse matter (physical bodies) knotted with individual mind. This is our material creation. It is you who have changed per your perception/interpretation, the word Brahmand to Brahmn. But as far as I know, both the terms exist, and have different meanings. Sat Sree Akal.
  12. Hi Orchids, Sat Sree Akal, would like to answer your questions below, according to Gurmat.
  13. A pledege of the soul: Rise, O moon Rise , O moon, and spread your Light across the heavens, the stars remeber you in silent prayers, their hearts glimmering with hope. Now like beggars, we roam the alleways of earthly life, when once one in our Homeland, we were merchants of rubies. O, may no one ever have to leave his own home, for one is not worth a piece of straw in this alien land! They need not clap their hands to startle us out of this world, O Bahu we are already disposed to fly back to our long lost Home. Rise, O Moon, and spread your Light They are all fondly talking of You ! Even if thousands of moons like you, were to rise, without my Friend I would still be in utter darkness. Hazrat Sultan Bahu
  14. Determination, will power ... A frog decided to reach top of the tree. All frogs shouted: it is impossible ..... Still that frog, reaches the top...... How? He was deaf.... and thought everyone was encouraging him to reach the top. So, be deaf to negative thoughts... in order to reach your goal People will hate, rate you, and try to break you..... But how strong one stays, is what makes you make your dreams come true. The same applies for spirituality. When sets off for Wahiguru, people will discourage you with their nonsense, but how strong we stand, by giving ourselves to Him, is what will take us to Him. People will talk, will provoke, will test your patience, but be firm, while they will remain just talking and watching, one will definetely reach His abode. Sat Sree Akal.
  15. Chakra is a term used generally to describe a level of consciousness, just as in yoga, there are five chakras below the Anjana chakra. it may also refer to spiritual planes. In that sense, Guru chakra, refers to the plane where the Guru abides in His True form. So, Guru Chakra is the Parbraham region, the region beyond mind , maya and kal .... It is also, where Guru is in His True form, the Shabad Guru. Below that Parbraham region or Guru Chakra, are the causal, the astral and the material planes, in which the True Guru may adopt, the forms according to the nature of those planes, so that the sikh, the disciple, may catch hold of His glimpse and reach Parbraham. After that, there is pure consciousness, the soul having discarded all its coverings, and the True Guru, in His Shabad swaroop or Shabad form, guides from there on the soul, to the lap of Wahiguru Akal Purukh in Sach Khand, and then once reached there, the soul drop, the Shabad Guru, and Satnam Nirankar, all become one in Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Just a s a drop, a wave, merge in the Ocean, becoming the Ocean Sat Sree Akal.
Without genuine understanding, all fasts, religious rituals and daily worship services lead only to the love of duality. In this line above of Third Patshahee, He reveals us what is True devotion. First of all, He says, without genuine understanding of the one True devotion, all fasts, religious rituals and daily outer practices are all false, which produce nothing positive in us, but rather keep us blind in agyanta of maya. So naturally, the question may arise in our minds, what is then that genuine understanding? The Bani clearly tells us: Awar Kaaj tere kiteh na kam, mil Sadh Sangat bhaj kewal Naam. Many of us say, let me do these things (rituals)first, then only once prepared will I do His simran.... This is like a sick person saying: let me get well first, then only will I take the medicine.... We may laugh at this statement, but it is our present poor condition. The malady, the sickness, the filth is in our mind, it is something subtle, which can not be washed or erased by anything made out of the 5 elements. Just as mud can not be washed with mud. It has to be something much subtler, and beyond them. And beyond them, is only Wahiguru Akal Purukh, and His power of Naam. Thus His Simran, is always the short cut and one in all medicine recomemded by our Guru Sahibans and Gurmukhs, to cure us from our vikars, our past sanskaras, our countless sins, and to defeat the mind and Yam Kal, also. Sat Sree Akal.
  17. Dear Lost Jee, I was just reading the SGGS, and came over an Ang of Bhagat Kabir Sahib which is much a picture of this your statement above, and in it, it also gives the solution for it. So I just thought of sharing it with you. You see, we people are manmukhs and thus limited, but the Gurmukhs, the Bhagats, the Sant Jan, are all wisdom and Truth, so we can profit much ourselves by doing veechar on their Bani. Kabeer, the mind has become a bird; it soars and flies in the ten directions According to the company it keeps, so are the fruits it eats. Kabeer, I have been ruined and destroyed by bad company, like the banana plant near the thorn bush. The thorn bush waves in the wind, and pierces the banana plant; see this, and do not associate with the faithless cynics. From your posts, it is clear, you are young and somehow your present sitaution is due to the company you were keeping, with the unmature.... and so the mind gets dyed quickly in the company it keeps .... So, to reverse this situation, the same technique has to be applied....you have to look and find out the company of the gursikhs...of the gurmukhs....so that in thier company, all the poison of vasnaas, sanskaras, vikars.... is neutralized by receving the positive vibrations, through the Glory they sing of Wahiguru Akal Purukh. This is the sign of a True Gurmukh; He himself sings and chants His Glory, and as well as, inspires others to do so... That is why Kabir Jee says, what He says in the following line : ਕਬੀਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਰੀਐ ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਅੰਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਨਿਰਬਾਹੁ Kabeer Sangath Kareeai Saadhh Kee Anth Karai Nirabaahu कबीर संगति करीऐ साध की अंति करै निरबाहु Kabeer, associate with the Holy people, who will take you to Nirvaanaa in the end In the company of these highly spiritual beings, when we grow nearer to them, we get their Grace or Parsad, which is nothing but, reminding us that apart from His Name, all else is fanah, all else is koorr. That is why Bhagat Kabir Jee also says: ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਬਾਦਹਿ ਜਨਮੇਂ ਆਇ Jin Har Kaa Naam N Chaethiou Baadhehi Janamaen Aae जिन हरि का नामु न चेतिओ बादहि जनमें आइ Those who do not contemplate the Name of the Lord - their birth into this world is useless. Those who dissociate themselves from the Lord's Name - when they fall into hell, then they will appreciate its value. Finally He bursts out, and reveals us how to become spiritually wealthy : ਕਬੀਰ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਦਿਨ ਦਿਨ ਦੂਨਾ ਹੇਤੁ Kabeer Sangath Saadhh Kee Dhin Dhin Dhoonaa Haeth कबीर संगति साध की दिन दिन दूना हेतु Kabeer, in the Saadh Sangat, love for the Lord doubles day by day. Dear Lost, do not loose hope, if you are firm in your resolution to get up and run towards Him, pray to Him sincerely and promise yourself to not repeat the same mistakes... He will surely arrange the envoirments for your betterment....but it is you who have to take the first step....then He will come a 100 steps nearer to you....and this if continues on a regular basis, then the day of meeting Him will not be far.... Sat Sree Akal.
  18. A lesson about life... I used to go to the temple with my grandma. The temple had flights of stairs. I used to ask her why can't they build the temple on the ground? Why do you have to climb the stairs at each and everyday temple? The answer she gave me was interesting, she said you need to rise above your level to reach God. Each step in those stairs is a reminder that you are rising above your level in terms of your envy, your greed, anger, ego and all evil parts of your life. It also suggests that you have to climb the steps one by one, you can't just jump off from first step to the last step. That is the cycle of life, once you conquer these aspects you reach towards your inner core self.
  19. Something on lobh or greed ... Whether you have a Maruti or a BMW, the road remains the same. Whether you travel economy class or business, your destination doesn't change. Whether you have a Titan or a Rolex, the time is the same. Whether you have apple samsung or lava, people who call you remain the same There is nothing wrong in dreaming a luxurious life. What needs to be taken care of is to not let the NEED become GREED. Because needs can always be met.. but greed can never be fulfilled.
  20. Powder Salesman: Sir, cockroach k liye powder loge kya? Santa: " Nahi, hum cockroach ko itna laad-pyar nahi karte! Aaj powder laga denge to kal sala DEO mangega!! Salesman Fainted ??????????
  21. Question of maths Santa to Son: "maths vich fail kyu hoya".. Son: 1st day teacher kendi 5+3=8.. Agle din kendi 6+2=8.. fir kendi 4+4=8 ullu di pathi, khud confusd hai mainu ki padaeygi..????????
  22. The true value of His Name Slok Sree Bhagat Kabeer Sahib. We manmukhs, when coming on the issues of devotion take the devotion of Naam Simran as something secondary, and prefer to do our manmat. But, we all know, Kabeer Sahib, through His bhakti, and utter Love for His Naam, had merged Himself in Him, and for us, He is a witness of the infinite glory of Wahiguru Akal Purukh. He knows the value of His Naam, thus He convincingly and conscioussly induces to do the same bhakti, by which, He met Him within, and became one with Him. Kabeer, if someone utters the Name of the Lord even in dreams, ਤਾ ਕੇ ਪਗ ਕੀ ਪਾਨਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਤਨ ਕੋ ਚਾਮੁ Thaa Kae Pag Kee Paanehee Maerae Than Ko Chaam ता के पग की पानही मेरे तन को चामु I would make my skin into shoes for his feet. Realizing the depth of Truth in Kabeer Jee´s words above, it seems, His words are a mirror for us manmukh moorakhs. While the Gurmukhs, support themselves at all times on His Naam alone, we prefer to do a lot of other things, thinking them to be as important as our other activities, or even a replacement, of the real Bhakti of Wahiguru, which is only possible through His chintan, through His dhyan, through His Simran .... Sat Sree Akal.
  23. In Raag Sorath, Third Patshahee, tells us something to be taken into consideration, of our true nature as souls and the one of a True Guru. He says: so guroo so sikh hai bhaa-ee jis jotee jot milaa-ay. He alone is the Guru, and he alone is a Sikh, O Siblings of Destiny, whose light merges in the Light. He says, our soul, or the True Guru, are nothing but Light, and as such, in the end merge in the eternal Light of wahiguru Akal Purukh. So if the primal Light has no genders or colors, what genders or colors of caste, religion, natinality, race have the souls as such? If the mighty Ocean, Satnam Samundar, has no caste or creed, what race, color, caste, creed or gender does the "mamulee" soul drops can have? Our bodies are just coverings, with particular attributes, which are material are physicall, related to the those coverings, not the soul. The soul is a naked ray of Light, with coverings in this creation, such as the three bodies, the mind and karmas .... but the soul as seen in essence, is nothing, but a spark of the Akhand Jot of Wahiguru Akal Purukh. The job of the True Guru, is nothing, but to reunite our souls with that Primal Light of Satnam, through the Shabad. In that sense, that power of Wahiguru works as a guide, as a Guru, as a dispeller of darkness of our manmukhta, who leads us to Wahiguru Himself. We have seen throughout the history, many men and women as kings, queens, poes, priests, priestessses, presidents of states or any other political or social order, which raech there by their own efforts, or by fighting for it, or even by recomendations, elections, by the people .... But that True Guru, of whom the Bani talks about, is sent by Wahiguru Himself. He is no self/ man made guru. These are fake, or better said uncomplete .... Through Gurbani, Gurmat, we learn to overcome all our spiritual deficencies, thus we become more mature and broad minded, by seeing things in their true measure. So let us not look at the coverings of the Guru, but the Light of Wahiguru shinning in them, irrespective of their genders. By trying to look or find anything else apart from this in them, we miss , we deprive ourselves, of the chance of having full darshan of Wahiguru. Sat Sree Akal.
  24. What is a true blessing from Wahiguru? We ask for blessings for countless wishes and desires to be fullfilled from our Lord Wahiguru. These desires if are not related to Wahiguru only, are just chains around our necks which keep us bound in the perishable creation. These desires are usaully for fame, name, power, possesions, children, health and so on .... But Dhan Dhan Satguru Sachay Patshah Arjun Dev Maharaj tells us, what is reality a blessing from Wahiguru upon us. In Raag Gauree, He says: jaa ka-o apnee kirpaa Dhaarai. Those, upon whom the Lord Himself showers His Mercy, so jan rasnaa naam uchaaray. chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, with their tongues. Wahiguru´s relation with us, is a one of utmost love, just as mother or a father with the child.... So, just as a parent who wants to have the child near to hug him and love him, all the attempts of the parent are to take care and love him as much as possible... In that sense, Wahiguru will never give us anything to keep us away from Him, unless we foolishly ask for those mayavee khilonas, rather He will give us that thing which will bring us closer and closer to Him, till the end, we come so near, that we merge in Him. And that divine gift, or blessing, as seen above in the words full of wisdom of Fifth Patshahee, is the gift, the daat, of His Simran alone. Sat Sree Akal.
  25. A LESSON OF lOVE We have all heard, God is Love and Love is God. It is by the link of Love, by which we attach ourselves with Him, and finally merge in Him. Dasvee Patshahee says : Saach keho suun laeho sabhay, jin praem keeo tin hee prabh paaeyo. I speak the truth, listen everyone: Only the one who is absorbed in True Love shall attain the Lord. Now, the question is how to Love Wahiguru. Do we need to say or repeat Him constantly : Wahiguru I love You, I love You ..... ? That is not the right attitude. Even at our worldly level, when we love someone, we try not to do anything which may cause hurt, and also the main thing is to spend as much time as possible in the company of the Beloved. So then, how can we express our love to our Beloved Wahiguru Akal Purukh? And as we saw above, Tenth Patshahee says, whosoever loveth Him, shall merge in Him. Here, He is revealing us the secret of spirituality, that merging in Him, is only possible by loving Him. And we all know, that only by His Simran, His Dhyan, can we realize Him and merge in Him. It has to be so, as we do His Bhajan Bandagee, we spend a part of our time in His presence , this is in reality singing His praises, and telling Him in His own langauge, the language of love, Wahiguru Sachay Patshah, I love You alone. Wahiguru does not want any words from us, He wants our intentions to be expressed through action, and these can can only be possible through the channel of bhakti of His Naam Simran. Gurmukhs, Sant Janas, come for the only purpose of making us aware of our spiritual nature, and at the same time infuse a bit of His love in us, by singing His infinte Glory, then they plead us, to make grow that love in us for Him through His Simran, till the day comes, when we find ourselves totally filled with His Divine Love in all our being, then only, our tiny self of Love(soul/jeeva) can merge in that Satnam Samundar of Love. Thus, the beautiful words of Dasam Pitah, become true in terms of realization for us: Jin prem kiyo, tinhee Prabh paayo. Sat Sree Akal.
