  1. GOD God is the best listener. You do not need to shout. Because He hears, even the silent prayer, of a sincere heart
  2. Can I ask a favour to all of you members/guests of this web, can we be gentle and avoid unnecessary aggresivity? You see, harshness and aggresivity leads to bitterness, and really there is no need for it . There is ample room for all. We should not force our opinions on anybody. Only respect and humility should be in our dealings with our fellow brothers and sisters here. So what, if others disagree with our opinion? They have full right. If somebody seems to be wrong, then leave it, it is his/her lookout. The world outside is full of unjustice already, then too if we bring it here, then it is better to quit and go. We come here to share our views, our hobbies, talks on sikhee, on Wahiguru, on Naam, on Simran, on the beautiful and sweet Bani, and many other topics..... Well, this has been only a benti from my side, anyhow, all of you are mature, just act responsibly, without hurting anybody´s feelings, it is against sikhee. Going back to the topic, I think what Sidhu is trying to tell the people around him, is that, whether hindu or sikh, when both in similar situations, both choose the higher power and put their trust in it. Just as Arjun, chose Krishna, inspite of him not having any weapons nor army, because Arjun knew, that Krishna was the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The same happens in the Bani, when the sikh tells Wahiguru: Ja Tu mere wal hae, ta kya muh-chaanda. Which means, Sachay Patshah Wahiguru, when You are with me, what /where is the need for me to worry, I have submitted myself at Your Lotus Feet. And as we all know, Wahiguru is the Highest and most powerful, once taken refuge at His Lotus Feet, who dares to trouble us? To complete this beautifull Shabad, let us see the remaining lines, so that we fully grasp the meaning, and rejoice with the precious words of Guru Jee. Here it goes: Ja Tu Mere Wal Hai Ta Kya MuhChanda When You are on my side, Almighty Waheguru, what do I need to worry about? Tud Sab Kich Mainu Saunpeya Ja Tera Banda I entrusted You everything , when I became Your slave. Lakhmi Tot Na Aavai Khaye Kharach Rehnda My wealth is inexhaustible, no matter how much I spend and consume. Lakh Chauraasih Maedani Sabh Sev Karanda All your creation is looking after me and serving me. Ehe Wairi Mittar Sabh Kitia Neh Mangeh Manda All my enemies have become my friends and no one wishes me ill. Lekha Koi Na Puchhai Ja Har Bakhsanda No one calls me to account, since the Almighty is my forgiver. Anand Bhayea Sukh Paayea Mille Guru Govinda I have become blissful, and I have found peace, meeting with the Guru, the Lord of the Universe. Sabhe Kaaj Sawariye Ja Tud Bhavanda All my affairs have been resolved, since You are pleased with me. Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru.
  3. Congrats Bro, you are definetely on the right track with the right attitude. Devotion is done for that purpose alone, to get dissolved our ego, and then when we are not, only He exists, He is there... this is the secret of ruhaniyat. Keep on you devotion in that way, never give up, in any conditions.... Then surely one day, with His grace, you will find yourself in His lap.... Waheguru.
  4. The Sukhmani Sahib tells us: Nanak, Sadh, Prabh, bhed na paee .... Nanak, see no difference between the Sadh and the Lord When Wahiguru Akal Purukh assumes human form, He is known with several names: Bhagat, Sadh, Sant, Gurmukh, Braham Gyani, Guru Sahiban, Satguru, Guru.... Further on, Dhan Dhan Satgur Sachay Patshah says: Gur Parmeshwer Iko Jaan, jo tis bhavai so parwaan. But above al let us keep in mind, the body of Guru Nanak, as well as of the rest of Guru Sahibans of Bhagat Janas, are not the Lord. Because the body is just a continent, which contains the Nam or Shabad, in each of its atoms, means they are fully Shabad. But we as humans, as we can not see Wahiguru with these our physical eyes until we reach higher levels of purity within. So Wahiguru, knowing our limitations, He graces us to have the Darshan of His sargun swaroop in that blessed human body. We love that swaroop of Guru Jee, not because of anything, but because the Shabad itself is manifested in that body for a particular time being, though maybe.... So mahima is of not of the body, but, of the real essence of Wahiguru in that particular body, which otherwise is made of the same 5 perishable elements like ours... That is why it is said, the real Guru is the Shabad, and the real disciple, chela, sikh is the soul or dhun.... Neither the gross body of the Guru is the True Guru, neither our gross body is the sikh, because one day, both will decay and die. It is the soul/dhun which merges in Satnam Samunder Shabad Guru. Waheguru.
  5. That is true what you say, but the soul which you mention, that merges in Him, is also a particle, or a ray, of that formless, invisible, all pervading Wahiguru. That is why the merging is possible, if the soul, was made of any other material so to say, it could never ever even think of merging in Him. For example, the mind is subtle and invisible for us, but it is not of the same essence of Wahiguru like the soul, so naturally it can never merge in Him. The soul´s relation i to the Lord, is like that of a ray to the Sun. We can see, the rays emerge from the Sun, go and fall on the different surfaces of the creation, but at the end of the day, wherever they may have gone, they alone, without any accompanies, they return and merge in the Sun, their origin... It is our agyanta, which make us feel we are this or that, or, from here or from there. And to remove this agyanta, Guru Jee, tells us to use the soap of Naam Simran, to erradicte it totally, thus know our true origin, and return there as soon as possible, with His Grace at all times .... Waheguru.
  6. Bhagat Kabir Sahib in Raag Ramkali, beautifully tells us that : ਬਿਨੁ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਤ ਨਾਹਿ Bin Simaran Mukath Kath Naahi बिनु सिमरन मुकति कत नाहि Without this meditative remembrance, liberation will never be found. He clearly tells us, do whatever you want, and go wherever you want, thinking one is perfoming devotion..... But the fact is, that outer devotion has no spiritual pull, because if it was so, surely it would have been an aid for us, in our approach to Him .... So in order to remove any misunderstanding we have as per which is the highest devotion to be practiced by us, Guru Jee again and again warns us throughout the Bani, by reminding us of this jugtee: Awar Kaaj tere kiteh na kaam, mil Sadh Sangat, bhaj kewal Naam ... Prabh Ka Simran, Sabh te oochaa .... That is why, Kabeer Jee, further, on this very Raag tells us : ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਹੋਇ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਦੁਆਰੁ Jih Simaran Hoe Mukath Dhuaar जिह सिमरनि होइ मुकति दुआरु Remembering Him in meditation, the door of liberation is found. Now, different thing is, if we do not want to become one with the Lord Wahiguru yet in this very life ..... So naturally we will do many other things, but for His Simran, we shall give excuses .... Let us ask ourselves, who is important for us? The world and its opinions, or Wahiguru? I am sure, many with their mouth wide open, will naturally say Wahiguru..... But then, if Wahiguru is the answer, why do we care so much for what the world says or does? Why do we not do explicitly, what our Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj tells us to do throughout the whole Bani? We must bear clearly in our minds, it is our bodiless soul, which has to merge in Him. And this merging in Him, is only possible, when the mind gets purified by His Simran. In this way, it looses its grip on the soul; then only our soul proceeds in full force with the Shabad Guru, towards its true Home, Sach Khand. So, Wahiguru is our end, and in order to reach Him, His Simran, is the only path to reach Him. All other methods, paths, practices, gurantee our continous enchainment with the perisahble world, through chaurasee ka chakar.... Practice such meditative remembrance in your mind. And you will not have to be reincarnated over and over again The words of Guru are eternal Truth, they never go in vain. Throught the ages, they say, do His Simran or meditate on Him with such love and devotion, that, by doing so, one will break the cycle of births and deaths, once and forever.... Waheguru.
  7. To answer these your questions, let us first see what does the word religion mean. The word religion, comes from the latin word "religare". Which means, that what unites you to your origin. I In our case as souls in human form, means to reunite our souls, or merge our souls in Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Only that jugtee, or practice, which can make possible, that merging in Him, can be undoubtley called religion therefore. As per the Bani, there is nothing as such which can do so, except only one method, as instructed by our Guru Sahibans. That method is very simple. But people, because of its simplicity, fail to take it as true. Though they do not voice it out, but there deep in their minds, they refuse to accept it. And from there on, starts "maanmat" . And there where is maanmat, means, problems, discrepancies, disputes, hatred, hot arguments, killings, suicides are sure to arise and take place..... You see, our Guru Sahibans are the embodiment of True wisdom or gyan. Their gyan is perfect, there are no mistakes in their statements, because whatever they utter, is because, Wahiguru Himself speaks through them. That is when the Bani says: Prabh jee baseh, Sadh ke hirdey. Prabh Jee baseh, Sadh kee rasna. They have given it in written to us, the method by which we can practice religion in the true sense, and become one with Him. If we read thier Bani or listen to it, in each Ang of it, they constantly mention it again and again.... But we donkeys, do not pay attention to their words, and try to implement our additions and manipulations to their Bani, just to suit our egos .... So naturally, instead to become nearer and nearer to Wahiguru, we, by our maanmat ways, get farther and farther from Him.... then too we proudly say we are sikhs....shame on us You see, sikhee is not difficult at all. It is we who have distorted their teachings, and made a false identity for ourselves. That too, when Sikhee, is just for dissolving our ego, become purer and merge in Him. This is sikhee, and is the real purpose of our beloved Guru Sahibans, and all true Bhagats and Gurmukhs, being them from any place or any time; but as Wahiguru, that Supreme power is one, so naturally the method in merging in Him, has to be one.... It can not be, different for diffrent races, castes or creeds, which are all outer layers, and there is no reality in them. Our true essence is our Soul consciousness, that ray of Jot of Wahiguru. So naturally, it is that ray of His Jot, which returns and merges back at the end of the day in the Supreme Jot Wahiguru. Our realtion with Him, is like that of a drop with the ocean, like that of a ray with the Sun.... it is a pure spiritual relation, not a bodily one, or a physical one. So going back to your questions above, no true Gurmukh will ever tell you to stop the relgion or the customs, of the place of your origin. Because all these outer aspects are related to the body, not to the mind or soul. For example, the robber changes his outward attire, to rob and commit his sins. But we all know, the evil is in the mind, not in the dresses or body, because if it was so, by changing his attire or appearnce, his personality and nature has not changed.... So you see, Guru Sahibans or true Gurmukhs, will never ever tell you to stop your relations with your family, friends or stop practicing the customs of the culture we are born in, neither will they ever engage/ enchain you in new customs or rituals...that is not their purpose. They just come here to our level, to remind us of our true spiritual nature, and tell us that we as souls, are here as aliens in this creation, our True Father, is Satnam, our True desh,is Sach Khand, and that, all our miseries are due for being away from Him. They also sing His glories/ Bani, to just kindle His love in our hearts for His Lotus Feet, and generate a genuine longing to go back and merge in Him. So now here comes the answer to the question of what is true religion. As we saw above, we cleared it, that religion is to named only to that activity or process, by which a soul, independent of its caste, creed or colour, can merge its soul consciousness in that Super Consciousness, or call it Wahiguru..... And that jugtee which is repeated again and again in the Bani, by our Guru Sahibans, is His Simran alone. They have made it very clear for us foolish people, by giving it written for all times and places, be it past, present or future, and their words are eternal, that whosoever follows this their commandment, shall merge and become one with Him, thus fulfill their purpose of human life/birth. They say: Jin Har japeeya, se Har hoeeya. These are their golden words, which are a Treasure beyond measure .... And these words mean: He whosoever repeats His Name, shall merge in Him, and become one with Him. Just give a little thought to these their words and look them again and again, the soul just rejoices and dances in ecstacy, that, that Lord which is Nirankar and Anamee, is realized by this simple techinque , by mugahds, manmukhs, moorakhs, and paapees.... like the most of us are. All this is nothing, but His utter Grace and Love for us, that He came at our level as Guru Sahibans and Gurmukhs and made Himself available to us, which would be quite impossible otherwise.... Waheguruuuuuuu, Waheguruuuuu.....
  8. Dear Saroj Bahl, this is true what you say. People do all that you have mentioned, simply because they do not follow Gurmat as per Bani. The Bani says: there is only one Truth, Wahiguru (Ik Onkar, Satnam). And the way to meet and merge in Him, is through His Simran alone, no other way. But then too we manmukhs do many many other things which we see them being done since we were born...Nobody stops to see and check if they are acting and behaving as per the very principles of Gurmat ..... So naturally, we have gone astray, and stepped deep in the manmukhta and maya, taking our beliefs as truth, that is why, there is so much hatred and violence.... If only some wadbhageee could read, understand and follow Gurmat truly, believe me, there would be no such abnormal situations.... But unfortunately, as long as this creation goes on, these stupid things will continue to happen. Because this creation is imperfect, and if has to continue, these things will continue happening. You want to get true happiness and peace? Just step out from this bhavsagar and reach Parbraham, then you will experience these Truths of Love, Mercy and Grace of Wahiguru.... We are foolish people, we did not spare even Guru Sahibans , Mahapurukhs, like Christ or Sachay Patshah Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj... And even today we continue abusing such noble and humble souls....foolish human beings. We are more in love with the jewel boxes(religions), which have no real value by themselves, and are just as good as decorations only, and on the contrary, we ignore the real valuable Jewel of Nam or Shabad within us.... Sat Sree Akal.
  9. Awesome. One of the most complete posts I have come through.... Congrats brother Lucky, keep up the high spirits.... Sat Sree Akal.
  10. Though it is quite difficult to identify one, because we have closed our eyes and ears, with our ego and agyanta of maya spread throughout .... It is a case of grace, of blessings from Him, to be in the company of such high Mahaprukhs/Gurmukhs, not otherwise... But there are some signs or points to be kept in mind if ever such occasion arises : . First of all they live on their own earnings, they do not charge anything for their teachings. Guru Nanak was a farmer. Kabir Sahib was a weaver, Bhagat Ravi Das was a shoemaker, Christ was a carpenter and so on, spiritual progress can only be possible with good and noble character, and self hard earnings, not by begging or depending on alms. Plus they give out some part of their earnings to the needy, something like daswand.... Secondly they do not display spiritual powers to attract huge masses, nor do they perform miracles... They are simple and "gareeb" in their lives ....They live in the will of the Lord. We have the simple examples of Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj or Christ....They were one with Akal Purukh, if they wanted they could have punished by themselves to those who commited utter atroccities on them... but still they said: tera bhaana meetha laageh... Thirdly, they themselves do the devotion of His Simran, and inspire others to do so, as the only method to cross the maha bhavsagar and reach His Lotus Feet.... Naam Simran is the only ritual, the only pilgrimage. Parbh Ka Simram sabh te oochaa. Inspite of all this, the world usually abuses them verbally and sometimes even phisically, as they think that they are going to their outer well established methods and rituals of their so called religions... The world is hardly conscious that Wahiguru is the only permanent reality, and is to be found only within us, nowhere outside.... Outside we have wars, disputes, confrontations... what a pity .... Nobody has ever seen Him, and all are fighiting due to the agyanta of maya, that my religion, my god, is superior to yours...shame on us ... If only we could go within and see that reality within us, which is the same in all. Ik Noor se sabh jag oopjaey, kaun baleh, kaun mandeh. And this Noor is nothing else, but the Jot, the Shabad Dhun, of Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Sat Sree Akal.
  11. Sahib Jee, please allow me to differ from you. Meditation is not a wide word at all from my point of view. To meditate, is just to think deeply upon something. That much simple. But, different thing is, where that meditation takes us. Meditating is like driving a car. Now, each one has different needs and destinations to go. Some may have to go to the office, some may have to go to leave their children to the school, others may have to go the hospital, still others to the police to complain about being robbed, some to supermarket to buy grocery, etc. Everryone drives the car to reach a different destiny, but that does not mean, driving is wide or difficult. But rather it means, wherever one has to go, one reaches there by driving. In a similar way, meditation is trying to reach higher levels of consciousness in the spiritual realms. Some have Swarg as thier final destinantion, others Baikunth, some others Shivpuri, others long for devis, devtas, etc...... We can see, each jeeva working out their destinies ..... And in sikhee, we are not less also. By His grace, He is our only supreme objective and destiny, we do not look here or there, only forward, towards Him through Gurmat. Just today I was reading a passage from the Bani, and coincidentally I think, it answers your question in the quote above, just as you wanted it from the SGGS, it is all Wahiguru´s kirpa, bro Sahib. It is wonderful, it is just amazing, how Guru Jee answers our queries in simple words, revealing us the Truths which otherwise would be quite imposible to understand Him.... Raag Kaanrhaa, Bani Sree Guru Ram Das Maharaj, here it goes : ਹਮਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਗਜੀਵਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਮੰਤ Hamarae Har Jagajeevanaa Har Japiou Har Gur Manth हमरे हरि जगजीवना हरि जपिओ हरि गुर मंत I meditate on my Lord, the Life of the World, the Lord, chanting the Guru's Mantra. Here He clearly says, I mediate on my Lord Wahiguru, doing the jaap, repeating the Gur Mantra, for instance Wahiguru..... And in the following line, He openly tells us , what happens if we do this sacred practice of Naam Simran. The Lord is Unapproachable, Inaccessible and Unfathomable; the Lord, Har, Har, has spontaneously come to meet me. By this He means, that, Wahiguru who otherwise is Agam Agochar(Unapprochable, Inaccesible and Unfathomable), by meditating upon Him, doing the jaap of the Gur Mantra, that very Lord, spontaneously, easily, effortlessly, comes and meets me by His Grace.... Sahib jee and dear all Sangat jee, just keep gazing at the beauty and sweetness in these words of Guru Jee above.... Ooouch Apaar Beant Waheguru.
  12. SPIRITUAL SNOWFALL We all know what is snow. Snow can fall at any place, at any time, provided the climatological conditions are present in the atmosphere. Not just by wanting snow or talking about it, the snow is going to fall Nobody from any corner of the world can ever say, my snow is better than the one falling on the other side. It would be a foolish and senseless argument, just as diiferent people of different religions do, claiming my religion, my god is better and superior than yours..... Poor ignorants, if only they knew, what they are talking about by personal experience....surely there would be no such disputes and stupid violence. In a similar way, that Supreme Being, namely Wahiguru, does manifest Himself in any wadbhagee´s heart, if only, it gathers the required conditions for it, like unconditional love and devotion, as per means of Nam Simran. And this manifesting Him in our heart, has to be done by each one of us. Nature has provided us with the necessary aids for that purpose. It is not possible to say, come take this snow from me .... maybe at a physical level, this can be done, but on a spiritual level, this is not possible, each jeeva, each soul, has to conscioussly create those climatologicaly devotional conditions within them, so that, that Supreme Being Nirankar, Wahiguru Akal Purukh, manifests Himself in that particular blessed heart, just as a snowfall. Sat Sree Akal
  13. Dear Truthseeker, the traigun bani or braham janjalla, is the sound which resounds ine the region of Braham, means below Parbraham, and this sound is not the real Shabad as such in Sach Khand. This sound is stiil under the domain of mind or Kaal. It is only by the power of Shabad Guru, that one can cross this region, by holding on to it, and reach Sach Khand. Sat Sree Akal.
  14. Sahib Jee, the SGGS is full of countless tuks on meditation, as per means of devotion to Him and thus our union with Him, by merging in Him. Following are some beautiful words of Dhan Dhan Satguru Ram Das Maharaj from Raag Dhanasree, regarding your question: jan naanak ka-o. gur ih mat deenee jap har bhavjal tarnaa. The Guru has blessed servant Nanak with this understanding, that by meditating on the Lord, we cross over the terrifying world-ocean Have we ever asked ourselves, what is the purpose, what is the objective of Sikhee? Is it not, our union with our beloved Wahiguru? And if Wahiguru or Shabad Guru is not something physical or material, then how will we ever merge in Him? Because for sure, it is not our body, which is going to merge in Him.... Neither the mind ...... Then, what is left as such which can merge in Him? Naturally, the answer is our soul consciousness. And the teachings tell us, our soul is covered by layers of filth of karmas, and two more coverings, such as astral and causal bodies. So meditation is, just like heating water, it impulses our souls upwards, towards subtle spiritual planes. Then reaching there, one has two options, either one keeps wandering in Maya there, or either, one holds on to the Anhad Shabad, and gets pulled out from the realms of matter, mind and maya, by the powerful hand of Shabad Guru, who then places us at the Lotus Feet of Wahiguru Akal Purukh. So brother, simran + bhajan = meditation, which unites us with Him. Sat Sree Akal.
Those who are branded with Your brand fight bravely in battle; those without Your brand run away. Here Bhagat Kabir Jee, is telling us that, those who meditate on Him, with His Name, fight bravely with the mind and succeed in defeating it, others , the rest of the people, just give up, and say, no no I can sit no more. As recommended by all Saints, Naam is the only weapon to fight with the mind and defeat it forever, otherwise, the fierce and mighty mind, no matter which other bhaktis we may do, will not leave/loose its grip on us. It is only when, it gets hurt by the blows of His Simran, that, it falls K.O. And this is because, though we may never ever estimate the real value of His Simran, which most of us take it so lightly, but the fact is, it empowers us with His power, to overcome our weaknesses, sins, vikars, etc ..... and become as pure paviter as He is, so to say, to merge in Him. Then Kabir Jee says: ਕਬੀਰਿ ਦੀਈ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਕਉ ਲੀਨੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ Kabeer Dheeee Sansaar Ko Leenee Jis Masathak Bhaag कबीरि दीई संसार कउ लीनी जिसु मसतकि भागु Kabeer gives it to the world, but he alone receives it, upon whose forehead such destiny is recorded. In the above line He is clearly telling us, the Bani constantly tells us to do His bhajan bandagee of His Simran, but many of us prefer to do many other things. This is so because, he alone can repeat His Name, on whose forehead is written so by Him, not otherwise.... What can the poor mortal do also.... To devote oneself to Him, in His real bhakti, is also a bakshish from Wahiguru, let no one think that it is done per our will... we are moorakhs. Gyan, dhyan, kich karam na janaa ..... saar na janaa teree, sabse wadah Satgur Nanak, jin kal rakhee meree By myself my Lord, I have no merits, have not any knowledge, nor do I know how to sing your glory adecuately, it is only becase of You, through your grace, that you have accepted me at Your Lotus Feet. Sat Sree Akal.
  16. On devotion and the Lord´s will Raag Ramkali Bani Sree Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj In the following lines of Sachay Patshah Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj, Truth of spirituality is revealed to us, in very simple words. Man Than Saas Giraas Prabh Eiko Eik Dhhiaae In your mind and body, with each breath and morsel of food, meditate on the One and only Lord God. He says, to meditate on Him, one needs not to go anywhere. Anywhere you may be, within your mind, which is within your body, do His Simran. So with these words we can clearly see, He is not telling us to recite any religious sacred wordings, but just as simple as to recite His Name. This His remeberance, can be carried out, when one is eating, which is as good for drinking also. Then He says, not only then, but even with each breath you take. Now, the thing is, we take breaths while going to the supermarkets, to school, to work, while going to sleep, while at our shops, offices, in the plane, in the bus or car, whether inside or outside, whether in the day, or in the night, the list is endless..... But the thing is to understand what Guru Jee is telling us. In one word, He is saying, as long as you can breathe, and you are alive, wherever you maybe, never ever stop meditating in your mind. This also implies, one has not to wait for any so called auspicious time, to repeat His Name, but as soon as one reminds that one´s mind is free even for a second, that one should be spent in gathering the wealth of His Name. Because that place, that moment, that minute, that time spent in His rememberance, becomes sanctified, becomes blessed..... Such is the magic of His wonderful Name . Then He beautifully says says: ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਚਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਖਸਮ ਰਜਾਇ Naam Dhhiaaee Naam Oucharaa Naanak Khasam Rajaae नामु धिआई नामु उचरा नानक खसम रजाइ Meditating on the Naam, and chanting the Naam, Nanak abides in the Will of his Lord and Master Here He is telling us, that to please Wahiguru Akal Purukh, one need not do many different things, as He does not gets pleased by any of those our maanmat things. Because He is one, and so, to abide in His will and make Him happy, lies our happiness as sikhs. Because that is what one wants. To please our Lord Wahiguru. And pleasing Him, means remaining in His will. And His will for us, in the words of Guru Jee: is to meditate and chant His Naam. Just as simple as that. Being a sikh in the true sense is walking on this this path marked by Guru Jee for us, not on our maanmat. And to repeat His name, we need not the aid of anybody nor anybody´s authorization. He is nobody´s property.... He belongs to all in the same measure. It is with Him, with whom we want to establish our relationship, what has any third party to do ? If the lover(sikh) and the beloved(Wahiguru) are eager to meet, and as Wahiguru is not any earthly being, with whom, someone else must come and introduce us to Him, and allow the relationship of love to take place..... No, nothing of that sort, no one sholud keep us away from Him for that time being, by becoming a barrier between us and Wahiguru. The guiding hand is in the Bani, through the Bani. The world is blind, and so are the manmukhs. The tat of Gurmat in short, is to merge in Wahiguru by loving Him, as soon as possible, and once again, this is only possible by His Simran, (not by any other means, no matter how hard and how often we may try, but it is all useless in His eyes), as it does go in accordance with His will, His bhaana, as seen above. Sat Sree Akal.
  17. Discover yourself Discover yourself, otherwise you have to depend on other people's opinions who don't know themselves.
  18. On Shabad Dhun O mind listen to the strains of the unstruck music and see with your own eyes the temple within the body. Grasp the Guru´s message of the Shabad drink your fill of the nectar and enter within Come turn the wheel of Simran it will readily open up the melody of the Shabad
  19. Dear all, so much we talk of impurities, but let us pause and think: Before ponting anybody, am I myself free from impurities? Because, whatever we eat and drink, it turns out into "mal" "mootar" within us, and thus we are most the time a carrying bags of them. Then why to look and point outside when our own body is factory of waste, of impurities, on both levels, whether at the physical, or whether at the mental level. You see, the world and creation is made in such a way, that one has to face different situations and circumstances, but the thing is, to keep in mind, I myself do not commit sins, by doing anything against Gurmat. Someone once asked a mahapurukh, what is sin and what is virtue? And the answer given to him in simple words was: anything taking you away from Wahiguru is a sin, and anything taking you towards Wahiguru is virtue. So naturally almost all of us know, it is only His Simran which takes us towards Him. And so why do we not eat and drink to the brim, His Naam Simran, which will not produce any waste of mal, mootar, or any other disease, but rather produce the pure Amrit within us, which will make us pure, paviter, and satisfy all our trishnas once and forever, which are the cause of our coming into this world, and make us fit to merge our souls in the Shabad Guru. Brothers, let us eat His prasad of Nam Simran, then all our doubts and misconceptions shall flee away. Sat Sree Akal.
  20. Eye opening veechar from Sree Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj We worldy people are so entangled in it, that we think, that all our surroundings and envoirements are true, and somehow we will continue with it, even after passing away. To the extent we are so absorbed in this so called our land, our culture, our this, our that....., that if needed, we may kill or give up our lives, and become heros in the eyes of our people. This is how we have been educated, taught, and this is how we live. This is our condition in almost any caste, color or creed. We are filled with the poison of hatred, usually for those who are not like us, or think and believe like us, so atrocities and fanatism, are the results of such irrational blind thinking. Thus this is our religion, to be fully devoted to my land, my mazab, my culture, my history..... But Satgur Sachay Patshah Teg Bahadur Maharaj, blows away all our illusory so called castles of sand, with His following paviter words from Raag Jaijaavantee: ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਕਹਿ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਜਿਉ ਜਗ ਪਸਾਰੁ Naanak Jan Kehi Pukaar Supanai Jio Jag Pasaar नानक जन कहि पुकारि सुपनै जिउ जग पसारु Servant Nanak proclaims that the vast expanse of this world is just a dream. He says that, not only the land where we live is false, is an illusion, is a dream, but is the same with the whole world. So now, do we ever see fighting, killing or suiciding for the non existen reality of/in the dreams? If we see anybody acting such, we shall surely call him a fool, and those who follow this type of fools, are also foolish, as they miss away the objective of their lives, of doing His bhakti and merge in Him. Even this body of which we are so proud of belonging to a particular caste or creed, that is why He says: ਬਿਨਸਤ ਨਹ ਲਗੈ ਬਾਰ ਓਰੇ ਸਮ ਗਾਤੁ ਹੈ Binasath Neh Lagai Baar Ourae Sam Gaath Hai बिनसत नह लगै बार ओरे सम गातु है Your body is like a hail-stone; it melts away in no time at all. So let us ask ourselves, what is there to be proud of, if even this body of ours is false, and for it we commit so many nonsenses and injustices, we give pain and torture to others trying to impose our false superiority..... But as Guru Jee clearly says, this body is not our true essence, so neither our actions of heroicity have any value in the eyes of Wahiguru. We think, we have done something great by going after our illusory dreams; but Wahiguru takes us as moorakhs, as we were given this human birth for a different purpose, but we have wasted it for stones.... as seen in the following lines Slipping away - your life is uselessly slipping away. Continung with our poor condition, He says: ਇਹ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੋ ਤਉ ਨਹੀ ਸੁਨਿਓ ਕਾਨਿ Eih Jag Mehi Raam Naam So Tho Nehee Suniou Kaan इह जग महि राम नामु सो तउ नही सुनिओ कानि In this world, you have not listened to the Lord's Name. Death has arrived; now where will you run? He tells us, we have done everything, but not His bhajan bandagee, so now death is at our door, with what face shall we go from here, if not of full shame and guilty. And finally as a solution, to give a right direction to our priorities and having Him as our only objective, He says: ਸਗਲ ਭਰਮ ਡਾਰਿ ਦੇਹਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਲੇਹਿ Sagal Bharam Ddaar Dhaehi Gobindh Ko Naam Laehi सगल भरम डारि देहि गोबिंद को नामु लेहि Give up all your doubts, and utter the Naam, the Name of the Lord.(Means to do His Simran) Because at the very last moment, this alone shall go along with you. In short, as we can see in these words of Dhan Dhan Guru Sree Teg Bahadur Maharaj, just as with any True Gurumukh, Sant Jan, none of them come here to keep us binded not only in this world, but even not in this mayavee creation. Rather through the teachings of Gurmat, they make us realize the supreme importance of His Nam, and our benefits of attaching our minds in the holy practice of repetition of His Name. This is the essence of Gurmat, which Guru Jee has kindly placed before us, so that we may use it, and liberate ourselves from all our chains which keep us prisoners down here, away from our Father´s House. So, if we have even one gramme of common sense, let us follow implicitly Gurmat as per instructions full of wisdom, by Sree Guru Teg Bahadur Maharaj. Sat Sree Akal.

  22. Precious is the only time, dedicated in doing His devotion In Raag Sree Raag, Fifth Patshahee, tells us something about when to do His devotion. safal moorat saflaa gharhee jit sachay naal pi-aar. Fruitful is that moment, and fruitful is that time, when one is in love with the True Lord. He says, there is no designated time, there is no designated moment, to wait and do His bhajan bandagee. Any time, any moments used in His sewa, in His yaad or remeberance, becomes the right time automatically. Let us not wait, for any prescribed time by anyone, who knows, if we shall be alive till then or not..... Now is our time, now are our moments, so let us make the best use of now by dedicating ourselves in His bhajan bandagee... Sat Sree Akal
  23. What is true Yoga Bani Sree Guru Amar Das Maharaj jog n bhagavee kaparree jog n mailae vaes Yoga is not obtained by wearing saffron robes; Yoga is not obtained by wearing dirty robes. naanak ghar bait(h)iaa jog paaeeai sathigur kai oupadhaes O Nanak, Yoga is obtained even while sitting in your own home, by following the Teachings of the True Guru In the couplet above of Dhan Guru Amar Das Maharaj, He clearly tells us, the real meaning of Yoga is union with the Primal Supreme Being, namely Wahiguru Akal Purukh. He says: yoga or the union with the lord, is not obtained by dressing in a particular way, or going almost naked and wandering in the forests, but it can be obtained even leading the life of a "girashtee" or a householder, and at the same time following Gurmat, the teachings of Guru Sahibans. Real detachment from moh, maya, relations and worldly possesions, can only be obtained by attaching our minds to something which is far more beautiful, enchanting, sweet and everlasting, that once tasting this Amrit, the mind stops running after any vikars, pleasures... or in one word, a paapee lustful life. And this attachment to something far more sweeter than the sweetest, is nothing else but Naam itself. That is why the Bani says: Nanak, Naam maha rus meetha. Sarab rog ka aukhad Naam The Bani in the end, is nothing than mahima of Naam, the only everlasting Truth. Waheguru
