This Charitar can also be related to the base tale. Chittar Mati may represent the slave. We already know that she was forced to marry Chittar Singh, alluding to a life a bit similar to that of a slave. Now, in order to attain her freedom or exact revenge, she deceives two parties (like in this tale). The two parties being, Hanuwant Singh (false allegation on him) and Chittar Singh (trying to make him kill his own son). The wise minister might be trying to tell Chittar Singh that the way the slave manipulated the Pathan to kill his own innocent wife, the same way Chittar Mati is making you kill your own innocent son. If I don't have sex with someone (non-Spouse) I love, he/she might reject or break-up with me. If I don't have sex with someone (non-Spouse) I love, she might think I am an impotent. Sex (outside of marriage) with a Muslim woman is forbidden, but one can have sex (outside of marriage) with non-Muslim ones. Sex (outside of marriage) with a Sikh woman is forbidden, but one can have sex (outside of marriage) with non-Sikh ones. If we don't have sex (outside of marriage) with our women, our women might seek non-Sikh men. Our population is already low, we need to have more and more kids (even if it means going outside of marriage). The Government will take care of kid. This sort of thinking can come up, especially in countries like Canada, etc, where single mothers get government benefits. There are two questions which come to mind Was Rustam Kala desperate to have a son (as seen in one of the earlier Charitars), which forced her to seek another male? This case would imply that her husband was suffering from Anejaculation (the inability to produce sperm). If a male suffers from PE, he can still produce sperm and impregnate his wife. Even, an impotent person can impregnate his wife. Did she want to enjoy sexual pleasures? Maybe she claimed that she was pregnant, in order to enjoy sexual pleasures with Khuda Deen.
