  1. This is from the times of Guru Gobind Singh ji? How odd..this completely contradicts the teachings of Guru Nanak ji. Do you think maybe Guru ji meant 'sexual relations' and it being a sin because the Sikh would not be married to the Muslim woman...and that would be the reason for the Sikh not being the Guru's 'sikh' ? That would make more sense. Because the example you gave, says nothing about marrying a non-Sikh. Examples like that are irrelevant to the topic.. all they do instead is spread hate amongst the religions.
  2. Agree with Infernal Monk. jAzZi and LegendarySiKH - How do you know the kid would have grown up and cut his hair? Did you know him? Do you guys not cut ur hair? And even if someone does cut their hair..so what? What counts is whats in your heart, not what you display to the world. We are talking about a 13 year old committing suicide..not about an adult doing it.. A KID... is that too hard for u to understand? What makes you any better than the kids that bullied him? There you are sitting and making judgements about a little kid that is no longer here.
  3. I'm here Its interesting.. I'm checking out one of the websites you guys posted
  4. Good points? Back them up with exact quotes from Guru Granth Sahib and then others can decide if they are 'good' points or a bunch of bs.
  5. Now he makes sense. Totally agree with that bit.
  6. N30 S!NGH - Thanks ! Jus another question.. when can i do Sukhmani paath? Is there a certain time in the day when its supposed to be done?
  7. Ok still confused!! I'm going to read thru that link again..just skimmed thru it today. I just want to know what the Guru Granth Sahib ji says about heaven and hell. :? N30 S!NGH - I'll read it all soon as I can..thnx
  8. Sorry Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji alrite then? Now my request for the quotes please
  9. Ello, I was a bit confused...feel kind of dumb asking this but.. What is the Sukhmani Sahib? I have a book of Nitnaym Baanees and I read my prayers from that.. but what does 'Nitnaym' mean? And who wrote/writes the rehats? And can rehats still be written today? and also.. what does 'rehat' mean? Sorry if I asked too many questions Just want to know more about Sikhi.
  10. Can someone get actual quotes from the Granth Sahib to answer any of those questions? I think it would be more helpful..esp when a non-Sikh asks us questions like those..would be better to answer the questions by saying that this is how its stated in the Granth Sahib.. rather than saying 'oh this is what I believe ...'
  11. Hey guys..I had a question.. In Sikhi what is Hell and Heaven? I mean like in Islam and Christianity theres a description of both..what its like and whats going to happen to u there. I've read about heaven and hell in Sikhism but still am confused about it. :?
  12. That guy had issues...I mean if people stopped getting married in order to connect with God..the human race would wipe out eventually. Sikhs are supposed to live family lives, have careers, be outgoing.. we just arent supposed to get attached to worldly things.
  13. Do u mean like become a nun? :? In Sikhi one is supposed to lead a family/social life and still be devoted to God.
  14. Best Moments in Life - all those r so true.. the simpliest things are the ones dat bring real happiness thnx JOYce
  15. JOYce ..thnx for that, was really good. I especially like the 'It Depends Whose Hands It's In' ..thats so true.
  16. So then wut r the two "mone" n how should they get married? Sikhi is more than jus rehats.. that should be more than obvious. Anyways its about whats in someones heart and their beliefs...not the bullshit that people display on the outside. That "mone" could be a much better person than a gursikh.. and dont say dat cant be true..be realistic..not everything is as it appears. A true gurusikh would know this. And by the way SIKHS DO MARRY MUSLIMS..and have in the past. Dont know what world you people live in.
  17. I believe in the Granth Sahib.. but the Rehats dont settle too well with me. I'd rather follow the teachings of the Granth ji than the rehats. On Sikhi2theMax.. the rehats dont even go with the quote they present from the Granth Sahib.
