i dunno if astrology is bakwas or if it's true or nething... all i know is that i dun pay attention to it cuz it's surrounded by so much controversy and it doesn't really seem necessary to me to form a concrete view on it cuz it dun really apply to my life. i tend to enjoy living in the present and dealing with everything happening now as opposed to trying to understand what the future holds and trying to avoid something that may never happen (or adversely cause it to happen because i'm trying to avoid it)...

do i get to use the dare thing now...? my turn...? enh forget it... not my style... there is an islamic philosophy. but i believe that it's been applied in a very different way from what it was meant to be. but that isn't initiative to put down another religious philosophy. that's very incosiderate of u, especially while knowing that this site is all about tolerance... but mebbe tha's just me and my lil opinions...

another way of looking at it could be that worship is respect but at a much higher level with more emotions involved in it than simple respect.

science and theology can't be compared because there are some things in science that theology condemns and vice versa. it's like trying to use a spanish dictionary (science) in order to understand a german article (religion). it's not gonna happen, which is why science would "prove" religion as flawed and religion would "prove" science as flawed. has it ever crossed ur mind that both are right in their own context and that there are things that one can't explain because we just don't have the right worldviews to really understand them as cooperative concepts?

sounds like someone's trying to make takin Amrit seem like a walk in the park and ignore a couple of important instructions that seem to be given to those who take it... not that i've taken Amrit yet, but my parents have and i think i know that some of what has been said isn't exactly true...

in either case though, they're doing it for self preservation as Jungee said. it'd be interesting to see why and how ppl label some groups as militants and others as terrorists though... i'm not sure exactly how close to someone who encourages violence someone as peaceful as psychologist would wanna get...

chile, back in the day our grandmothers had way more help with everything than we do today. and what makes u think they didn't complain? one of my great grandmothers actually had holes in her ears without ever getting them pierced, and i inherited that... so i guess i know a little bout my family history...

i can feel the luv in this thread. heh heh heh. dun worry guv. while u're doin exams, i'll be doin bio in summer school at uni. :cry: an imma have my midterm exam in june and my final in august. but in between that, i get tests every week. oh well... tha's life for ya, right?

i think race is just a notion created to help us segregate between ppl we consider to be different from us. i really don't see much of a point in the entire race and caste thing.

violence is violence. bias is bias. everyone's got an opinion. do these violent acts and opinions change the fact that ppl are dying and hurting each other? does it change the fact that there the notion of humanity is lacking in these times? does it change the fact that these injustices continue each day?
