  1. Please listen to Sukhmani Sahib paath on Guru Sahib bachans regarding the position of Brahmgyani / Sadhus / Sants. *** Nanaksar Structures were built based on Baba Ji prophecy & bachan. Please do an honest study of Nanaksar history. *** Not sure what deras you refer too. Im not involved with any. Im just responding to your previous comment on Nanaksar. I felt there is a need to clarify.
  2. Good Qs. Amrit Vela as it is known in Sikhi & Brahm muhurtha in Hinduism. Everyone has different calculations. In Hinduism / Ayurveda, Amrit Bela starts 1.5 hours before sunrise, lasts for 48 minutes and ends 48 minutes before it. Some say it starts 2 hours before sunrise. In either case it is essential to capture that sunrise window time. In Sikhi, Days & Nights as divided into 8 pehrs (3hr duration each)are.. Times are true within a deviation of say ~15min. 3am-6am 4th pehr of night 6am-9am 1st pehr of day 9am-12pm 2nd pehr of day 12pm-3pm 3rd pehr of day 3pm-6pm 4th pehr of day 6pm-9pm 1st pehr of night 9pm-12pm 2nd pehr of night 12pm-3am 3rd pehr of night Best sleeping times are considered to be 2nd & 3rd pehrs of night ie. 9pm-3am (Total 6 hours) Amrit Vela is usually ascribed to 4th pehr of night, ie. 3am-6am. If we go based on above calc, you need to find the sunset - sunrise time and divide by 8 and the last 4th pahar is ur Amrit Vela. This is the calc I use. Waking up at 11 or midnight and doing Naam Jap until 2 am and back to sleep is not Amrit Vela. You need to continue into sunrise to hit the amrit vela time. I suggest getting some sleep before starting Amrit Vela. After amrit vela is done you can sleep during the day. This is how most ppl do in India, who do service at Gurudwaras. Good Luck
  3. New-Age, Modern Age, Westernized Sikhi?
  4. Brahmgyani has the power. The structures were built by His Hukam and Baba Ji’s bachan.
  5. The only experience after all this jaap, was that my jaap-ing is nothing more than a dog bark in front of His door. I am nothing more than a beggar with torn clothes doing all this jaap. Any experience is / was due to His mercy - kindness on the beggar & definitely NOT due to repeating malas and recitations. You ALL are blessed, fortunate, and have immense kirpa that you ALL are doing these jaaps. “Sey Simreh Jin Aap Simrahiye Nanak, Taa kay lago paiye”
  6. Anybody enjoy taking a new notebook and flooding the pages writing “Waheguru” or “Mool Mantar”??
  7. The motive behind all these vaccines is only and only - “money and more money”, “profit”, “greed”. It has become a disaster.
  8. We use to do it before, then stopped as it became a hassle. But ur right what u said in ur post. Must be sanskaar.
  9. Correct. But do watch the video from 17 minutes onwards. Mangal ji talks about this exact thing. Bhuk Chuk Maaf
  10. I just came across this video. Look at the innocence of these ppl who are illiterate & Waheguru’s innocence and bholapan tooo
  11. This use to happen me. The awareness increases many many folds. It can also be kalyug -if negative feelings. Overtime for me it resolved on its own. Put more concentration on the mantar. Dont allow the mind to waiver outside the mantar. Also, keep a jot On.
  12. Actually Sir, I don't have a lot of medical information therefore dont want to give wrong advice. However, I have practiced the Wim Hoff Method. Scientific experiments conducted on people who took very very cold showers showed that certain types of hormones which are responsible for relaxation and basically making the body feel good, auto-immunity (they call it para-sympathetic nervous system) increased 200%-300% more than the normal individual. You can google such studies by typing Wim Hoff method. Overall, I feel cold shower should get you better sleep. I sometimes take hot shower, when I have to do kesh isnaan, but overall I prefer cold shower. Cold shower really relaxes me. Keep in mind you want to gradually train your body for cold shower, it is dangerous if you suddenly force yourself and people with high blood pressure should be careful with cold showers as it can increase blood pressure. A real cold shower is one which is single digit degree C. Also, if you have serious insomnia, then you need to get a blood test to see if anything is out of whack.
  13. As per Baba Jis bachan I need to get 1 sehaj path a month. So I will keep the mala. Yes its become a distraction, keep track and movement of beads and Im a beginner too in this.
  14. Actually, the trance states are intermittent, they dont last long enough... come and go sort of and please dont say “reached a stage”. I dont believe in stages and Im in the beginning stage. I have 5 doots (Kaam, Krodh, Lobh, Moh & Ahinkaar) ALL inside me. The mala I still want to do as I want to keep with Baba Ji’s bachan of 1 Sehaj path a month.
  15. This why I love Nanaksar so much. They have brought back the puratan lost maryadas.
  16. I think this is what might be happenning to me, maybe @paapiman or @ragmaala can advise. If I do mool mantar with full dhyaan, focus, love & not concern myself with finishing it. Here is what happens : Say “Ikongkaar” in antargat ... mind gets “ras”....”waheguru presence” - hajoori feeling and mind enters a trance like state.... after sometime then move onto “satnaam”.... sometimes the same phrase gets in repetition mode “satnaam satnaam satnaam” basically the mind tries to hold onto the last syllabe as long as possible and sometimes in between a feeling of “awe” triggers & “waheguru jaap” start by itself. So this basically happening after 4-5 month of 6 mala practice with a few days missed here and there. If I chant loud. I get the dhun mein dhyaan and “Waheguru presence” feel in the mantar. Chanting becomes silent after 1st mala and mantar goes on in mind at a point in the head. Able to finish 6 malas in 1 hour 40 mins. I use a 108 mala and figured that if I dont use a mala at all. I can concentrate better, bcoz part of the attention goes into untangling the mala and moving the bead as the mala gets caught in knots here and there. Overall been doing 6 malas on an average for 4-5 months. There have been rough periods. Kal Yug does get stronger and tries to de-rail you. Certain issues made me miss my amrit velas, but then caught up on it. Kaam does gets stronger. I experienced some flashes of dark entities in my vision too with angry faces, who looked beat up and were mad at me. Then noticed there was a trend of the mind to start thinking mundane and routine things related to career, job, finances only and only during amrit velas. This all goes to show that kal yug tries to pull u back. Like @ragmaala I also aim to do one sehaj path a month as per Baba Ji’s bachan. I think I might end up doing what you are doing, chant it out loud and spend the rest time on Gurmantar.
  17. Thanks Sat1176. I get the picture when u say “dhun mein dhyaan”.
