SsA Veerji,
Focusing on Agya chakra during Simran is NOT recommended by abhiyaasis, you can checK content by happydays veer on this forum.. how he suffered for so many days cos of this..
This video talks about the jugtis as per Gurmat as posted by sat Veerji. Listen from 18 mins or you may call these Gurmukhs for personalized help, they are really nice and kirpa waale Gurmukhs.
All the best!

I had a funny experience the other day and was wondering if this was connected to naam simran.
I did a few hours of simran some at amritvela and some in the afternoon. Then later at dinner i was eating roti with family and i felt this uncontrollable urge to laugh. All of a sudden this feeling of happiness and need to laugh just hit hard and it was quiet so no one was saying or doing anything any funny. I tried holding it in but a smile broke on my face and everyone was curious and surprised and were like whats happening and whats so funny. I couldnt hold it in and started laughing so hard and everyone was a little confused and they started laughing a little seeing me laugh hard like a crazy man while they were still trying to figure out why i was laughing. I had no explanation and i couldnt speak without my own laughing interrupting. Maybe for a good minute i just kept laughing and pausing to breathe in so i could laugh more. After a minute it sarted to come under control and i was able to respond a little clearly. I just told them it was nothing a few times because I have absolutely no idea. The feeling just hit and I never had a experience like that before. There were a few times where something would pop into my head and just make me smile but not laugh and outburst as I did.
Has the sangat had any similar experience, or maybe some explanation. I am really curious.
Release of Dopamine in the brain by Meditation ( I read about it somewhere on this forum itself) brings happiness and joy. ( Nanak bhagta sadaa vigaas)

Funnily enough I saw these white rotating rings also. They were coming towards me as I listened to the dhun.
If I understand it correctly it is not rings coming towards us. Our surti is passing through riding on shabad as we listen.
However I do know I was using a slightly different technique today of raising my surti higher in my head then normal.
I was following along to this video. From 24 mins goes through Saas giras, Saas Saas, romrom, to raising surti to top of head.
Water
Is that what you do?

Very nice video though background voices are a bit distracting yet it gv me a gist on dhyan.
My answer still remains as it was. intentionally NO I didn't do anything like that but subconsciously may be. I don't know.
All this while I have been thinking or hearing that we should not concentrate on any body parts, only on dhun n thas way I was following
I have heard this in a Katha but couldn't locate the track... So its more of kitaabi Gyaan from me.
Area above the eyes in our body is Akash tat. And as per the principle of "jo Brahmande soi pinde" there are 7 layers of Akaash ( Saato Akaash Saato pataal)) so seven layers of mind... Which they call concious, sub concious, super concious, super sub concious and so on.
As we progress in Meditation.and concentrate on Akash tat... Guru mantra manifests or penetrate itself deep into the layers of mind. So these waves are seen as a sign confirming that your surti is penetrating into deeper layers or levels.
Congratulations! That seems to be a positive sign.
PS. This also brings me to write a bit more on 5 elements in our body.
Area below knees EARTH
Area from knees till Nabh ghaat ( naval) is WATER
From Naval till Trikuti( root of nose) is AIR ( Paon)
Above Trikuti or eyes is AKASH ( Space)
Now the fifth element AGNI is most talked about.. Agni is present all over the body. Agni is fire.it represents vikaars- kaam( lust) krodh ( anger) greed, pride and MOH in our head. Jathar Agan ( the digestive fire) in our tummys, ninda on our tongues, Trishna in our eyes, body heat all over. So this is one element which, very similar to the outer world is REQUIRED yet Dangerous.. we have to be cautious while using it.
Another concept related to AGNI is
( Jaisi again udar Mai taisi bahar maaya) . Fire and Maaya are similar.. we can't survive without body heat or Maya for that matter in bodily form yet it's Dangerous. Hence needs to be cautiously handled. - Maaya gujraan

Can any abhiyaasi Gurmukh please validate the position of Dasam dwaar. All this while I was under the impression that it is the crown of the head - the Sahastra Chakra. I feel a sensation there at the meditation time.
I am really scared to put this here since Harsharan ji has already answered your query and he's always telling me that I am nobody here to write anything or tell anyone right or wrong.
I also witnessed how @sukh_preet was attacked by a new member for saying something that was correct. I just wanna mention one thing that we have lost many active members from this forum because of these arguments. Lucky Veerji, sat Veerji doesn't write much here because of these attacks.
As for @sukh_ Preet he/ she ( I m not sure- I never asked though we have communicated via DMs too) joined this forum when he was too upset about his own Mom keeping secrets about her avastha from him. That was not acceptable to him and we discussed it...... so when @prabhtej ji and @soulfinder Veerji did the same - it was an emotional burst.
Anyway @still nascent people usually get confused about Dasam dear and trikuti. This video at 5 mins would clarify

Amazing , guru sahib ji di kirpa , reading something like this motivates mind to do bhagti and exercise control over indriyas.
If you don’t mind how much time per day is Guru Sahib ji making you do Naam Simran ? Please do share. I am only at 1.5 hrs per day on average. Thanks.
Ha ha.. I am sorry but i am the wrong person to ask this question. I may demotivate you, if I answer this question honestly. Please don't follow me on this. I am very irregular and bad at sitting for Simran particularly.
I love Banis more. Listen to katha etc. But simran i have just started listening to simran audios to make me sit for simran and I dose off pretty easily. So i am sorry please don't follow me.
Try doing it all day as Simranjeet singh ji says while working, travelling, walking, driving - whatever you do.
((Hath paa-o kar kaam sabh cheet niranjan naal. ||213|| With your hands and feet, do all your work, but let your consciousness remain in his feet all the time))

There are levels in sweetness of mouth as well. Only one who has tasted can express.... I am amazed

Hanji, actually I have recently started to understand this concept of sleep and sunn and as per my understanding there's a thin line between the two.
Here are the links that may clear the difference for u as it's really important for sangat on this path to understand.
Twist this as per Gurmat and let's do Japp before sleeping. I am trying on this though easier said than done

Baba Nand Singh ji was very high ' kamai' soul ofcourse, who had janms of Naam Dhan. His practices were more ' yogic' - we are not ' kinka' equivalent- so if we follow not sleeping for days ( years is obviously far unimaginable) we would loose some brain nerves or mental balance - for that matter. We can't even think of following his life style like shedding Maya totally ( he never touched money- left family- wore negligible clothes- even in super cold weather, ate nothing for days).
This is like Dhanna ji or Namdev ji who took their elders words' literally and sat to ensure that Thakur would eat ( laavo bhog Har Rai) - similarly Baba Nand Singh ji took it literally that Gurmukhs never sleeps.. and Waheguru being ' bhaav Bhagat ka bhookha' got them across!! I wish we were also away from these ' chaturaaiyaa' and meet our Gopal with such 'bhole bhaav'...

SAT SRI AKAL ALL,
this is my 1st post.i found this site recently and i think of it as a very big blessing.never did i think the people i am trying to find are all here.i wish to attain god.
but i dont know any jugti nor am i a amritdhari .please guide me.Also after going through posts on this thread , i found about s. hardial singh ji and at his site of sarab rog ka aukhad nao i found this pdf about naam simran.can anyone also tell me if i should follow this!!
Congratulations! Finding this virtual sangat has been a blessing for each of us here and yes I do believe that it's only received by good fortune ( bin bhaaga satsang na labhe)
2nd congratulations! That unlike 90percent people who believe that the purpose of human life is just - Khao piyo mauj karo- you have realised that it's way more than that... ( I guess it's eaay to realise the difference between maya- and Gurmat for a Sikh than others) .. so now when you realise this fact things become rather - difficult, simply because our path is different- our goal is higher and most of all we live with people who don't understand this! And here this sadh sangat becomes a blessing.
This PDF is ofcourse beautiful! But only that it's not easy to understand at beginners level.Listening( suniye) can only be understood once you start hearing the Anhad Bani. Before that it would be 'cutting'// clearing' your - paap-mael( dirt) - kilvikh or whatever you may call it. And that would be needed to be removed first by ' Naam' then 'shabd' manifests and listening would start....
Here are the few links that may help

Haha .. that's how his game is..it was the same years ago and still same prevaing.. there are millions of stones and one among them is Paras to understand his game. Many coals and one diamond and so on. Guruji was that One who understood and made ' his own' people understand it.... Rest all are his playthings dying n taking birth in circles
- Why was Bhai Mardana ji not ' converted' by Guru Nanak Sahib or Sai Miya Mir ji or Painde Khan ( by Guru Hargobind Sahib) for that matter? His Bani tells Musalman to be ' mom dil' become a soft hearted person -- that is, he instructs them to be a good Muslim
To Brahmins he says that call urself Brahmin and superior only if you realise Brahm. No where he tells them to 'convert' .
We as Sikhs shouldn't believe in increasing numbers rather instilling ' values' but yes not everyone understands that.. as per ' his' game- hukam.

Nahi nahi soulfinderVeerji... That may not be the case, just immature relationship issues ( lack of Vivek Buddh you see cos of social pressure- may be ) if she would not have been thankful or concerned she would have not made this post here..
It's an honest post where she has not ' glorified' her own deeds or even hidden her deed ( which we are perceiving as wrong- ) she could have mentioned 5-7 of her husband's flaws too (( we all know that he would have some as no one is perfect)), but she didn't. So I really appreciate her sincerity- I may have not been able to do that if I was her. ..
@KIRNY25K- if u would have made this post in any other chat forum or in your kitty party group you may have found 20 supporters but here - sangat members are like your inner voices and we won't support your ego just because you are one of us - and you may feel bad.
Count your blessings yaa, and learn to hear the real - YOU not your EGO-- not everyone is as lucky as us.. all u need is to hold the hands of Guru Sahib and take a first step towards spirituality - not the unreal pakhands but the inner Love towards Waheguru ji and he will lead you himself..Waheguru

Wasn't the Bani of our Guru Sahib was enough for us to resolve "The purpose" of human life.
The only reason for adding the bani of
Kabir ji
Farid ji
Bhagat Trilochan,
Bhagat Ravidas
Dhanna ji
Sain nai
King Pipa
Sadhna ji - a kasai - and 14 such in SGGS ji was to make us understand that
It's not the jaat ( caste), creed, colour, religion, daily routine/ rituals you follow, work you do for living, country, social status etc that makes you meet the Lord only the love for your Lord ot prema Bhakti that matters.

One more thing you are very lucky to find an Amridhari man in your life, who not only looks like but is a Sikh. ( living with him you can see how difficult it is to maintain that in today's society. - but if he's loyal to his Guru how loyal would he be to u) value him.
Our society has always put woman at a lower position than men.. We in this era fight for equality ( outside) but inside long for safety in our man's arms. Guru Sahib in our bani also consider himself as a woman and all jeev as woman where only Lord- Waheguru- Almighty is the man. Bani teaches us all the Importance of being HUMBLE.
It's easy for us woman to be humble and surrender to THE MAN - THE LORD and easily swim across this Bhavsagar because our society has made us like that( only if we don't rebel inside/) and this is a boon in disguise.

Lol we woman! U know all this is so - Similar to My Story turned upside down- just that I want Amrit - he doesn't allow. He asks me to shave- wax-thread ( cutting hair is a TABOO in both our families- never done so by either of us ) and look - "pretty" but I want to cover my head all the time. We ( used to) argue - fight - tease each other a lot on this subject but now we have - compromised. (Because both of us love each other and at the end of all the fightings which he have had - we realise - we just can't live without each other).
Overall, u know that's how relationships are, we are never satisfied. We want Everything especially in others to be JUST PERFECT as per our perspective and at the same time we want them to ACCEPT US WITH OUR FAULTS AND SUPPORT US. - somewhere inside though we know we aren't all - white- but so what no one is! So why can't we accept 'his' grey shades??
I was so like ' you' few years ago putting my foot strongly for a - point- which I took as - Right- { you still cut n highlighted your hair- even after the argument YOU DIDN'T CARE HOW HE WOULD FEEL and inside you know you that that wasn't right} but your ego tells you that what you did was o.k and he should accept if he loves you. Yes he should- At the same time shouldn't you have kept your words and kept a - parda- from his parents at least for " their happiness" sake. The truth is you don't care for their " happiness" your ego tells you not to be " fake" but you may have lied several times if the case has been with YOUR MOM DAD instead of his - haina.
That's what is the difference and we only start learning this as we start doing BANI Or Simran- putting your self in the other person's shoes. Bass that's what my opinion is-( that's how I have changed now) next time when your ego emerges just think about those beautiful moments you have spent together and, how much HE MATTERS. Put yourself in HIS shoes and then think...
Though it's easier said than done yet the only trick is curb your ego and anger- talk wisely .
Sweet words can melt stony hearts and vice versa
-
Yeah but" ek naari jati " one man woman and vice versa is parwaan in Sikhi. If both agree ofcourse. Leaving ur spouse for Bhakti is Not Sikhi Thas Hinduism- remember Vanprasth ashram etc.

On 1/21/2020 at 8:34 PM, Ragmaala said:I had a weird experience that I wanted to share, maybe someone had something similar and can shed some light on it. Some background info, I have been going to waheguru japa sessions at a local gurudwara regularly in the last week, and have been actively listening utube videos regarding naam simran. Todays morning session felt more relaxing and peaceful than usual, and as the tabla was playing I felt the vibrations in my spine which were pleasant. Usually i get sleepy but today I didnt feel sleepy at all but felt very refreshed.
So I came home and took a nap. When i was sleeping i became aware that I am dreaming. i cant recall the dreams. What I remember is that i started hearing combination of sounds some of which i cant recall. Sounds were a combination of ringing, machine vibrating, crickets, and electronic type sounds hard to explain. I started focusing on these and they kept getting loud and loud to a point where I got scared and uncomfortable. Then I realized my body was paralysed and I couldn’t move at all. That was scary. I started to shake myself off and was eventually able to wake up. its been 2 hours now. i can still hear a very mild hint of some ringing type sounds.
Has anyone had something similar happened to them while sleeping ? Thanks,
you gave words to my feelings, when I mentioned few days ago that we get confused if we are awake or sleeping..... It was not a regular sleep veerji, it was your temporary visit to - heaven. It was SUNN, awareness, pure consciousness , antar dhyaan, deep meditation ⛩ etc what ever we may call it but since beginning we have been understanding that as we loose the control of our bodies we are sleeping, we are not able to differentiate. Once we will gain avastha ( with Guru Sahib's kirpa) we may attain this state voluntarily. { @Lucky and @Sat1176 veerji pls correct me if I am wrong}
Though I am no expert but I perceive this as if - let me try to put in words( I am bad at it) My little daughter just falls asleep as and when she's done- tired of her hyperactivity. Be it on the bike- in car - at someone's place or whenever,- provided she gets my lap. At times I get irritated and say - how selfish! But then as I think deeply it's the ultimate trust that she has on me, the security she finds in my lap. She just doesn't sleep in anybody else's arms but mine because she feels that I am '" There"' and that's what I should feel for my Babaji- He's there. All I need to do is - surrender- just give off
Tensions, fears, daily chores, thoughts, happiness, sadness, anger, ego and finally my ultimate identity. I know it's easier said than done and that's where the problem is... But that's what the journey is all about.
Hope this may be of some help
And yes for that flu - along with the medicine just keep a tablet of 'kapoor' near ur nostrils on your pillow at night. and bite raw ginger with salt if you may I use it on all family just at the onset of infection and it works.
-
Thank u so much @Sat1176 veerji, these are really useful.
Here's the one that i found and answers the question that most of us had in mind -
Mool Mantra or any other shabad
Or
Guru Mantra jaap
Plus we get to know how important is education via these videos or this forum is important. Such out of the world opportunities were lost by these Guemukhs..

@Jageeraveerji, . U see me on a pedestal which is actually a broken dabba- I keep falling from .
On a serious note lemme share my latest discovery- I was going through 'Laava' and I realized that it's like Guru Sahib is describing the four stages to meet the Lord.
ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ soohee mehlaa 4. Soohee, Fourth Mehl:
har pahilarhee laav parvirtee karam drirh-aa-i-aa bal raam jee-o.
In the first round of the marriage ceremony, the Lord sets out His Instructions for performing the daily duties of married life.
banee barahmaa vayd Dharam darirhHu paap tajaa-i-aa bal raam jee-o.
Instead of the hymns of the Vedas to Brahma, embrace the righteous conduct of Dharma, and renounce sinful actions.
Dharam darirhHu har naam Dhi-aavahu simrit naam drirh-aa-i-aa.
Meditate on the Lord's Name; embrace and enshrine the contemplative remembrance of the Naam.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਆਰਾਧਹੁ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਪਾਪ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
satgur gur pooraa aaraaDhahu sabh kilvikh paap gavaa-i-aa.
Worship and adore the Guru, the Perfect True Guru, and all your sins shall be dispelled.
ਸਹਜ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਹੋਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
sahj anand ho-aa vadbhaagee man har har meethaa laa-i-aa.
By great good fortune, celestial bliss is attained, and the Lord, Har, Har, seems sweet to the mind.
ਜਨੁ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਲਾਵ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਆਰੰਭੁ ਕਾਜੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
jan kahai naanak laav pahilee aarambh kaaj rachaa-i-aa. ((1))
Servant Nanak proclaims that, in this, the first round of the marriage ceremony, the marriage ceremony has begun. ((1))Second Laav
ਹਰਿ ਦੂਜੜੀ ਲਾਵ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥ har doojrhee laav satgur purakh milaa-i-aa bal raam jee-o.
In the second round of the marriage ceremony, the Lord leads you to meet the True Guru, the Primal Being.
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭੈ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਹਉਮੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਬਲਿ ਰਾਮ ਜੀਉ ॥
nirbha-o bhai man ho-ay ha-umai mail gavaa-i-aa bal raam jee-o.

The Lord, the Supreme Soul, is the Lord and Master of the Universe; He is pervading and permeating everywhere, fully filling all spaces.

Stage II Is as we hear ANHAD SOUNDS
Stage III is when Gurmukhs can travel to Astral Worlds for SANT MANDLIs and sangat
Stage IV is getting absorbed in the LORD - Being one with him
