  7. Source=Email The Ego Is Needy But The Soul Is Never In Need [highlight=orange:885d6cfa2b] The person who has acquired the qualities of the soul, lives for universal expansion; only giving - like Nature, without asking for returns. Ego is knowing and believing what you are not. Use ego as a driving force for growth but not for the pride of 'doer ship'. When inertia, hurt, anger, depression, pain, violence dominate us then we are not in the right state of being. Some other self comes in between our true self and divinity. That is Ego. Ego is a weakness; it limits growth and creates stagnancy. It seeks constant approval from others and is energy consuming in it maintenance. But the person who lives in the attributes of the soul and has acquired the gunas or qualities of the soul, her existence is for universal expansion, just giving and giving like Nature, without asking for returns. Ego is a weakness; it limits growth and creates stagnancy. It seeks constant approval from others. Such a person’s karma is to spread joy. She does not aspire for any sort of approval and is beyond all worldly demands. This happens due to a supreme state of non-attachment. In this state a form of sacred love comes into force which is above all mundane worldly selfish motives. The desire to control, possess, resent or use disagreements to trigger off personal imagination or opinions never reflects pious love. It gives rise to attachment. In attachment, needs cover the soul. It creates layers of ignorance which hampers growth and blossoming into our true self. The soul is above fear and attachment. It has an eternal quality of spreading truth, love and light. We have trouble letting go of things and happenings due to the ego of doer-ship, little realizing that separation is not something to be feared. It is a test of time given to us to realize how strongly we are connected to our true self. The state of being away from our soul surfaces in separation, and the pain experienced is attachment. So it is also a form of fear. The soul is above fear and attachment. It has an eternal quality of spreading truth, love and light for which it requires no external support. If we are out of doership and ego then we are centered in our true self and no fear can affect us, we stop analyzing others whether they live up to our expectations or not, resist to control situations, correcting others mistakes and advising and instructing others. This is the first step towards realizing the guna s of the soul. So leave the desire to control and aspire for freedom. Resentment arises with a need to control, letting free or letting go is love. This is the truth. Thanks & Regards,[/highlight:885d6cfa2b]
  8. Dear friends, People worldwide are casting there votes to elect the New Seven Wonders of the world. Initially, there will be short-listing for 21 monuments till February and then the voting will continue and will be announcing the New Seven Wonders of the World on January 1, 2006. The Taj Mahal, for which we are proud to be, is also in the competition. As of yesterday, Great wall of China is leading with higher votes and the Taj is in the seventh place. To bring this china wall to first position, more than 50% of votes are cast from the home country china. Unfortunately, the Taj is in the seventh position because of only 1.9% of votes from Indians. Can we spend sometime to cast our votes ? Just login "www.new7wonders.com" and cast your vote. Please circulate this to your friends and let us retain the Taj Mahal as one among them.

  10. Very nice posts....My Fufad ji also was the same person as Nicky's Massarji...lot of Naam Simran,Paath...He was blessed with a very nice life ...but he had terrible lung infection , that he cud not breathe and had to be on oxygen 24/7 ....I had the same doubts...so I asked my Veerji(cousin) about this...and he said that....just like a Sunaar(one who designs Gold) Gold has to burn before turning into pure Gold....burn it to remove impurities...similarly...A Sikh burns to become a pure Khalsa...all his impurities are removed...
  11. I feel Steve is prolly the son of an immigrant sikh ...who is aping an angrej by adopting a western name and their culture culture of Punjab and spirit of sikh.....see the current trend in Punjab is....something like...that generally punjabi culture is associated with drinking and all hunna and eating non veg which hinders the growth of sikhi...then the trend ....."U become a Man ...if u Drink" etc etc....such things mislead the youth...
  12. From what I get is....culture of Punjab..is where people drink dabb ke...eat non veg a lot...so that hinders spiritual growth... Steve must be the son of some Punjabi immigrants...who changed his name to an angreji name... I guess...

  17. Mr Orchid ...most girls in interior Punjab don't use their own will....they marry where their parents tell them not even ask them....Do u know there are about 15000 women waiting for their husbands to take them to their sasural....but those Men married them....fooled them...and are gone...and these women have nowhere to go....its easy to make this statement...that Most marry for passports....What about those CRUEL men who marry 3 or 4 times and leave these women ...to face the hell back here...in Punjab.
  18. My parents have been married 24 years and what I see in them is...they may not have been compatible but....Compromise,tolerance,respect,mutual understanding, patience is the the key...this is what I have learnt from them and I guess that holds true for most couples of the previous generation. One has to go out of the way when it comes to life partner... Come on see him/her as a another human being who has united with you...who has given his/her entire life for you....his/her life is not sooo cheap. Its a shame that a holy bondage of marriage is taken so lightly and casually...and then people have solution for....doesn't work out...divorce...what the heck....is it a joke...Dang ...its so difficult to make such holy relationships and people take them so casually...its utter selfishness and self-centredness...nothing else...Valuing the other half's life is very important...put urself in their shoes...and imagine how wud u feel..if they did the same cruel things 2 u

  20. Source-Email Don't be afraid, it will all be done. It will turn out right. Better than you expected. All it will take of you is to pray to Waheguru. Pray to Him the way you would speak to your best friend, the one you love the most in the world. Exactly as you would speak to your best friend, speak to Waheguru. Tell Him everything. Tell Him you can't do anymore. Tell Him that you will do something the moment He tells you what is to be done. Then do it. ACT ON THE BLESSING. I assure you that if you are in this kind of simple, small and sincere prayer, your prayer will be heard. Not answered. Heard. Waheguru will answer it in His way. When you pray, pray quietly, without elaborate externals. You are talking to your best friend. Bow your head down. Ask that His hand bless it. Get up. Fold your hands in thanks for the blessings you will receive. And then wait till you receive them. Do not go onto another prayer for another thing; when you are so deeply wounded and when your mind is consumed by one wish, give Waheguru dignity by waiting upon Him while He attends to that one wish. Offer one flower if you have to, as a token of what you are seeking. Then do the final, most important thing to close the prayer. Say: Your will is my will. Then: embrace the envelope that comes from Him; it is handwritten in Heaven. We very often complicate things. Sachkhand is home we are writing to when we pray. Your parents always reply to you; so too will Waheguru Human beings complicate things, confuse themselves and create chaos. Waheguru is a lovely . Pray with the faith you prayed when you were a child. Ask simply. Wait with joy. That's the easy part. I want to tell you what it will take on your part. You must be very true to yourself. You must respect yourself. You must honour yourself. You must be a very good person. You must honour Waheguru. Here's how: let there be no element of negativity in your Life. If you are working in a place where you are being mistreated, voice it. If you are in a relationship where you are not being valued, ask that you be treated the way Waheguru expects you to be treated. A long time ago, my friend Shernaaz Engineer said: "when you are in a relationship with someone who doesn't recognize you or your love, leave. However much you love, leave. Because if true love is not recognized, nothing later on ever will be. Treat yourself exceptionally well, you have Waheguru treating you that way; why should any person have the right to violate Waheguru's dignity bestowed on you? Start anew this weekend. I urge you to not be afraid; Waheguru, if you allow Him, will fill your Life up with all that He has handwritten in heaven. He will; He just needs an empty page. Ask only Waheguru. Then, accept Waheguru's. Waheguru sees things we can't. Trust, please Regards
