  1. I have actually finished reading the book at really enjoyed it. Was a real eye opener and has somewhat changed my perception of what I believed God to be. Obviously one can truly never comprehend that true nature until one reaches such high avasta. Pangtis by Guru Arjan Dev Ji on Ang 370 touch upon it. First, I renounced my egotistical love of myself. parathmay ti-aagee ha-umai pareet. Second, I renounced the ways of the world. dutee-aa ti-aagee logaa reet. Renouncing the three qualities(Tamo =Sex, Anger, Greed, Attachment, Pride; Rajo = Hopes, Wishes and Desires, Sato = Compassion, contentment, Humility, Moral Control), I look alike upon friend and enemy. tarai gun ti-aag durjan meet samaanay. And then, Turiya (the fourth state) of bliss was revealed to me by the Holy One. turee-aa gun mil saaDh pachhaanay. In the cave of celestial bliss, I have obtained a seat. sahj gufaa meh aasan baaDhi-aa. The Lord of Light plays the unstruck melody of bliss. jot saroop anaahad vaaji-aa. I am in ecstasy, contemplating the Word of the Guru`s Shabad. mahaa anand gur sabad veechaar. Imbued with my Beloved Husband Lord, I am the blessed, happy soul-bride. pari-a si-o raatee Dhan sohagan naar. Servant Nanak chants the wisdom of God; jan naanak bolay barahm beechaar. one who listens and practices it, is carried across and saved. jo sunay kamaavai so utrai paar. He is not born, and he does not die; he does not come or go. janam na marai na aavai na jaa-ay. He remains blended with the Lord. har saytee oh rahai samaa-ay.
  2. Had a very strange experience last night as I sat down doing my jaap aloud. I was focusing on the sound but after a while, I think it was about 30 mins, I started feeling as if my consciousness was being pulled inward towards the centre my head and I struggled to keep a lock on the sound of my own voice. The jaap began to drawn out but know I was chanting at the same volume. It was like drowning in one's own mind where you trying to swim to the surface of awareness. Not sure how else to describe it. Still trying to master the first step. Ang 322 Those who chant the Lord`s Name with their tongues and hear it with their ears are saved, O my friend. rasnaa uchrai har sarvanee sunai so uDhrai mitaa. If the beggar begs for the Lord`s Name every day, his Lord and Master will grant his request. jaachik mangai nit naam saahib karay kabool.

  4. After reading around the subject it is always nice to come back to gurbani and read again. Sometimes a subtle pangti sticks out that you didn't appreciate before. Ang 313 While asleep, they chant, "Waaho! Waaho!", and while awake, they chant, "Waaho!" as well. (Isn't this an hint to learn to take the consciousness through waking, dreaming and deep sleep states, i.e. learn to stay conscious in sleep by attuning oneself to the shabad or what I now understand to be the state of yogic sleep; body asleep but mind is awake and aware) sa-uday vaahu vaahu uchrahi uth-day bhee vaahu karayn. My tongue is not satisfied by praising Him; He has linked my consciousness with the Lord, my Beloved. jihvaa saalaahi na raj-ee har pareetam chit laa-ay. O Nanak, my mind hungers for the Name of the Lord; my mind is satisfied, tasting the sublime essence of the Lord. naanak naavai kee man bhukh hai man tariptai har ras khaa-ay. The Gurmukhs chant and meditate on the Shabad, and lovingly center their consciousness on it. gurmukh jaapai sabad liv laa-ay. They hear and believe in the Name of the Lord; they are absorbed in the Name of the Lord. har naam sun mannay har naam samaa-ay. He is always invited, but he does not go to the Mansion of the Lord`s Presence. How shall he be accepted in the Court of the Lord? (What is the signature of the invitation and how does one go inside?) sadaa bulaa-ee-ai mahal na aavai ki-o kar dargeh seejhai. How rare are those who know the Mansion of the True Guru; they stand with their palms pressed together. satgur kaa mahal virlaa jaanai sadaa rahai kar jorh.
  5. What book is this from? Never mind, found it here: http://www.swami-krishnananda.org/medi/medi_3.html
  6. Discourses on the Beyond volume 3 a book written by Sant Baba Waryam Singh ji Anyone else who wants to read can grab it from https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B3dWJJc2bM5HRUFOUHdLejRRU3c&usp=sharing ;-)
  7. Well explained Maha Singh and Das ji. Points noted. I am also a believer that given the right jugti can help a seeker immensely, like a shortcut, which can also save loads of effort of trying to walk the path alone. First the problem is obtaining the jugtis as they are closely regarded secrets and then if you do happen to find some out, then when to adopt which one. The issue that can arise is that one might not appreciate the stage one has reached because it came easily and not after many years of hard effort and the prem is somewhat lacking. I just finished reading this book. It's a real eye opener for those who hear anhad sounds. A guy from the west learned the techniques and then reveals some of the them that the saints of the east keep so close to their chests and only impart to devout, deserving students. There was loads of unnecessary padding to beef up the book, and the key points probably could have been summed up in a few pages. It was such a refreshing, insightful read that I read the whole book in one day. http://www.amazon.com/The-Ringing-Sound-Introduction-Current/dp/0966535804 A clear/still mind is a prerequisite for the next step.... You hear the same message of stilling the thoughts down to nothing from loads of bhagti related sources. In the book one is clearly advised to listen to a mantra to help still the thoughts which will eventually lead you to hear the anhad sounds if you don't already hear them. When they are present then they become the mantra which you focus on. Listen to these sounds initially until they become more and more finer and clearer. When your comfortable and ready with these sounds then one has to step into them so to speak for the actual journey to begin with your dhyan at a particular point. When I read that the pangti "nanak naam jahaz hai jo charhe so utre paar" came to mind. I will post more relevant snippets of information soon.
  8. Maha Singh, so nice of you to drop in on us and share some words of wisdom. I hear what your saying... How are you able to be so mind still to such an extent you are oblivious to any sensations going on internally? Are you suggesting not even listening to the anhad shabad? I just re-read the discourse given by Sant Baba Isher Singh (Rare Wale) where his instructions were as follows with regards to the Anhad Shabad: Sit in a secluded place and for 2.5 hours, closing eyes and keeping back straight at 90 degrees. Keep on listening to the sound ringing in both ears and be intoxicated with it. One should hear this sound for 8-10 days. After that one should direct one's consciousness to on the right ear. An extremely fine and sweet sound sound will begin to be heard from the right ear. After about 10 days one should withdraw one's consciousness and cease to hear the sounds, ringing in the two ears. After some effort one would be able to hear a sound from the Agya-chakkar (at the root of the two eyes and the nose). It is the same sound that one used to hear from the right ear. After concentrating on the Agya chakkar, one should keep on hearing this music for 1 month or 2 and recognize it as the symbol of the Formless God. Then one should uplift one’s consciousness and listen to the music from the point where the ey-brows begin. After practicing for 2-3 months with full concentration one should raise the consciousness to up to the head, to the point where 4 parts of the oranium join which is called the palate. This point is also called the tenth gate. After practicing this for 3 months one should hear the music from the back of the head, at the point where the backbone (spine) touches the Sukhmana Nadi. One should practice here for 5-6 months. After this when the seeker becomes full adept, he should concentrate his consciousness on the tip of the nose. At his point he would see strange supra-worldy sights and one acquires carious kinds of power. This practice will take some two years. But there is a supreme need to keep watch on the instructions ordained here. Eager enthusiasm is required beyond limit. Under these activities, one would see different kinds of lights, strange sights of secret worlds and hear strange musical strains. After this strenuous practice, consciousness would abandon these sights too…
  9. I think one has to learn to filter what they read and like you say just pull out the little gems. It is very difficult to know what is correct and what is not. The only reason this stood out for me was because I could relate to what the person was saying and believe I'm experiencing something along these lines. Another tip I picked up is learn to look straight ahead between the eyes in the inner cave. I was often confused with why people focus straight away between the eye brows which involves raised eye straining. Their approach is to follow one sound till the end until another one arises, then you latch on to that and so on which should take you deeper within. Seems logical enough... I am finding myself getting really annoyed at the moment as to why this inner marg is so secretive and the lack of available resources with good clear direction. Nearly everyone I come across keeps something close to their chest and drip feeds information. It's just so frustrating. It makes me wonder does god actually tell these realised souls to not tell anyone how they got too him or leaves it to their discretion who they choose to impart this divine inner knowledge too. Really knocks ones self confidence and makes you think are we just not good enough or worthy. Not too long ago I met a mahapursh and he was talking about some deep levels of attainment in bhagti so I thought I would have a one to one with him. I told him I do simran and was experiencing some sweetness in the mouth and hearing sounds from the right. I told him I was doubting my own experiences because I'm inexperienced and not very knowledgable. All I was told to reassure me was it's your previous janams bhagti and what I was experiencing was how it happens initially. Then I was told not to tell anyone and keep these things to myself and he was surprised I was so open with him. I looked at him hoping he would point me in the right direction or elaborate but nope he just kept quiet and smiled. Maybe I just don't know how to ask the right questions. I guess all we got is an ardas to Waheguru that he comes to us or shows us the way because we haven't got a clue which way to go or turn.
  10. I've been try focus on the anhad sounds over the past few days. Trying to get my mind to just listen to it. It is becoming easier and I find it quite easy to listen to it during the night. I just put my dhyan on the right and it starts within a short while. Odd thing is that when I'm not at home I find it hard to locate. Maybe all the other external sounds drown it out. It feels very pronounced when it gets about 11pm or later or when I lie down at night. I’ve been little curious about why it’s always on the right side so far and why texts from great souls always say listen to sound coming from the right. Only explanation I found so far is from a radhasoami book called Anurag Sagar. It stated the following: The Sound Current - Naam or Word, Shabad - as it is described in the scripture is first basically audible always from the right side. In further state when some spiritual progress has been made, you can listen to it as coming from above. Out of good fortune some people are allowed to listen to the Sound from the right side. You can experience the Sound at night often more intensely. Unfortunately mostly they do not know what this experience of the Soul means and probably even believe they were ill. Some people hear something and out of ignorance they go to an otologist. If those people really accepted the Sound coming from the right and listened to it, they would realise after some time that it is getting louder and clearer and has a raising effect. But there also exist sounds coming from the left. These are always negative. Especially persons who take drugs, are psychiatry or follow criminal addictions often report that they can not only hear from the left side but actively listen to it consciously. Sounds that come from the left side, when listened to they lead to the result of lower addictions in a man get stronger. The moment when a man ceases to consciously listen to the Sound Current coming from the right or from above, he automatically ends in the mind. There are many kinds of sounds echoing and re-echoing in the various regions of the creation and may, for convenience be classified into two categories: 1) Sounds proceeding from the left side. These are negative and material sounds and are connected with respective ingrained seeds of inner passions. The devotee is willy-nilly attracted by these sounds if one is fascinated by anyone of these siren-songs on the left, one may find oneself hurled down into the deepest depths of the abysmal chasms of the passion to which the particular sound relates, for such sounds have a pull that the outward and downward. In such a sad predicament, the labour of years becomes of no avail and odds go against the pilgrim-soul. These are therefore to be avoided scrupulously, for they lead one astray from the Spiritual Path. 2) Next are the Sounds that proceed from the right side. These are Sounds from the Spiritual Planes and such are positive in character and purely spiritual with a characteristic pull that is Inward and upward. The particular Sounds that have an upward pull are five in number, as stated by various Saints. Whoever comes near fire, gets warmth, no matter whether he does so of his own accord or not. So the Holy Naam or Divine Song, cannot but influence you when you come in contact with It, whether you will it or not and are in time or out of time. The Power of God cannot but influence you, should you get in touch with It. The outer music has a marvelous effect on all living beings, It shakes of the grievous burden of the oppressive sorrow and unrest under which one incessantly groans and drives away all thoughts. It washes away the dirt of everyday life by its melodious tunes and captivates the soul. It concentrates the mind, naturally, without having recourse to any fabricated methods.

  13. I stumbled across this book "Power Unlimited : Relation with a Man of God" and found the chapter on 'The Word and Meditation' really inspiring and useful in clarifying the path of meditation and some of the teachings we come across. Highly recommended reading... Enjoy ‘When one tries to meditate there is a pressure to go inside, in a deep inner consciousness. But at first the mind takes it as a pressure to go to sleep, since the only kind of inner consciousness to which it is accustomed. The difficulty can be overcome if one perseveres – then gradually sleep changes to a inner conscious state.’ Guidance of Sadhna (spiritual practice): The first step is that of simran – recollection or repetition of the Lord’s Name; the second state, bhajan , is characterised by devotion and worship; the state dhyan is towards concentration and absorption, and the fourth one leads to the state of samadhi, that is the state of unity with the Divine. One who take dhyan direct without first being steadfast in simran cannot easily get settled in dhyan. The first step on the ladder of spirituality for the equipoise of intellect/mind, that is, absorption in the bliss of the Self, is Simran – the recollection of the Name of the Lord, in the recesses of the heart, lips and tongue being tightly closed. Concentration of the mind is necessary for recollection; freedom from thought waves helps this process. A pure mind alone can attain this state. And to be pure in mind is necessary to be pure in food, in behavior and association. Freedom from the phenomenal pain of unreal imagination shall not be there unless the mind orientates itself towards the recollection of the Name of the Lord. Peace manifests when the mind, by discarding the illusory names and forms of imagination, establishes itself, with hope and love, in the ever-existent Name. The control of mind is essential. An uncontrolled mind shall never be able to attune itself to the Name. With absorption in the Name of the Lord, the mind moves from the love of objects towards the love of God, and thereby all activities are viewed from the perspective of selflessness. When the state of selflessness is reached, the buds of pure devotion begin to sprout in the heart. Such a noble feelings only blesses life. One who is desirous of the state of blessedness must, before anything else, follow the path of recollection of the Name. The method of recollection needs to be followed correctly. That is some recollect the Name with the help of a beads, some recite the Name in a high tone, whereas others sing the Name. All these methods do give some kind of mental satisfaction, but the real peace of mind can be realized through, unwavering recollection, totally fixed within, in complete introversion. The method and effort both must be right. The real way of recollection is that which unites the mind and breath in perfect inhalation and exhalation. One attains, through recollection of the Name, the Nameless State, that is, the sate of immersion in the indivisible Word. It is, therefore, essential to have faith in the Name. The perfect ones (sages and saints) have projected many Names concerning the Absolute – but for spiritual practice a Single Name (Seed Word) is beneficial and effective (preferably one received from a true Guru). We must remember that the ‘Ultimate Word’ is One, its conditions or states are many. To the extent one passes through these conditions, to the extent the state of inwardness is intensified… ‘Concentrate on the name with the integrated mind and body. Give up your doership. See the presence of the Lord in everything and lovingly remember Him. It is this attitude that brings blessings in life. All the impurities of (even) past lives are washed away. A person given to such recollection experiences with the Word Absolute.’ The second state: Bhajan (devotion): It is the condition in which there is experience of the Absolute Word and mind completely concentrates on it. In the state the nectar of God’s love is drunk and the mind hankers not after worldly pleasures. Withdrawing itself from the things of the world, the mind orientates itself towards the Eternal Word, experiencing its various dimensions and aspects. In this state everything is seen in terms of Divine Will, and there is negation of self-ego. It is above the lower part of the body, at the root of the nose, in the middle of the forehead (between the eyebrows) that the intellect experiences the Word. If a spiritual practitioner exposes this state or tries to show miracles, he shall be deprived of Divine Bliss. To the extent stability in this spiritual practice is achieved, the luminosity of the Reality within is experienced progressively. With freedom from bodily wants, the soul remains merged with the love of God. A person of this state must cultivate such qualities as forgiveness, mercy patience, humility, selflessness etc… Much time must be spent in the remembrance of the Lord, with less of food, less of sleep and less of worldly business. ‘Absorb in that bliss that results from devotion, move in the world with modesty, have more love in remembrance of God than in things of the world’ The third stage is Dhyan (contemplation): This is the state when the mind, leaving aside all concepts and designs, gets absorbed in the Absolute Word and experiences only the bliss supreme. ‘Stabilised in the experience of the Absolute Word, one hears internally tunes of various types, see lightening within, cuts oneself asunder from the world. All actions are surrendered to the will of the Lord, maintains equanimity towards diverse fruits of action, and lives a very natural life, without desires.’ One established in this state is a yogi. He is a true knower. His mind is away from wants and plans; he stays with his real self. He envies none, rather loves all. With steadfastness in contemplation one hears within indivisible Word rather loudly. He sees the whole world as the reflection of the Supreme Light. Nothing attracts him except the Name of the Lord. Contemplation of God is the real blessing. It comes on giving up all desires. There has to be complete surrender to God’s will…. No one in this state should be inclined to show any miracle. When longing for all actions (for self) dies, and one dedicates his life to helping others, considering the whole world as God’s manifestation, himself with a sense of non-doership and stable in bliss, such a composed, patient person has reached the state of Samadhi. The fourth state: Samadhi (enstatis): In this state of concentration all concentration all consciousness of the outer world is transcended; the intellect immerses itself in the eternal Word of the Absolute and all the ego-related fantasies come to an end. It is a state of experience in which luminous Consciousness alone is known. The one who has achieved this Transcendent state of being, experiences nothing but the Absolute. He is the knower of Brahman, remains established in the eternal Sound of the Absolute. See the world as manifestation of the Lord. He maintains perfect equanimity with all circumstances, above the polarity of pain and pleasure. Within him is total renunciation. It is the state in which one remains immersed in one’s essence. One who has, through tapas (penance), established firmly himself in the Lord and has, by going inward, ruptured all association with the objective world – such a person achieves the condition of non-duality that is characterised by pure luminosity. That person alone finds himself established in the Sound Absolute who, all the time, perceives body to be perishable and who, having realised freedom from the desires of the body, remains engrossed in contemplation of Self. Only that person will attain the state of enstatis who considers indivisible and imperishable Reality to be the substratum of everything. Summary: Be selfless in your devotion to God. be firm in you faith in God. Resolve that you will serve all creatures with selfless mind. Give up the luxuries of the world. Recognize that everything belongs to God. Wit a firm mind engage in the recollection of the Lord. Those who follow such a path obtain real devotion, faith, concentration and Samadhi. Therefore, lead a pure life so that, while living, you may be able to cut asunder the knots of bondage. On Technique: Meditation is an individual, rather personal, approach towards unity with God. One may select and adopt the best way, as suits one. Sit on a simple asan. Sit in any pose you comfortably can. Keep back and chest straight in any case. Breath comfortably; inhale and exhale peacefully. Carry, along with the breath, the Name (of the Lord) from the tip of the nose to the centre of the navel gently, after a small comfortable rest-pause there, do the same thing on the return journey of the breath. The air we breath in is cool and fresh, while the air we breath out is warm. Do not puff up the belly unnecessarily with ingoing breath, nor strain yourself with outgoing breath. Let it be as natural a process as possible. Breath is the carrier of prana, the subtle life-force which pervades the whole body. Attention ahs to be focused on this subtle element / essence, joining it with the Name, this combining the three – the delicate prana, the complete surat (mindful attention) and the adopted Name. This triad – this sacred trinity – is the secret of Yoga. (In advanced state of meditation is focused on the point between the two eyes, root of nose.) This auspicious combination, when regularly practiced, makes the movement of breath balanced and deep, as well as sufficiently slow without effort. When this practice becomes mature and firm, it leads to the opening of Kundalini (rising of the latent force, coiled at the base of the spinal cord) automatically One also overcomes sleep, indolence, appetite and thirst. Experiences Firstly the Word – Shabad/Anhad (unstruck heavenily sound) is heard internally, at the navel point (that is the beginning of Simran). It reaches the throat with practice (that is the practice of Bhajan); later it resounds in the Trikuti – center point between two eyes (then it is started of Dhyana) - leading to total contemplation in advanced states of concentration. Last it dissolved in Kapal, to of the head. This is Samadhi. The intellect then gets absorbed in the Braham – the Divine in us. Complete void – Shunia or Sunn – prevails there. A deep, deep silence with it own sound and light! (This is enlightenment.) Verses on technique of meditation: Firstly sit straight as convenient, and stablize the mind and senses. Keep mouth and eyes closed and tongue motionless, recalling the true Name (seed Word) within. The breathing should be as slow, steady and effortless as possible, and the sacred Name blended with the flow of breath, and the sacred Name blended with the flow of breath in and out with unflickering concentration. The movement ration between outgoing and incoming breath is 12 and 16 (measurement in fingers put together) Their balancing helps attain state of ‘samenesss’. While inhaling let the impulse – along with name go to the center of the navel and the exhalation process will start from there. Hold the breath (for a little while) at the navel center, recalling the true Name, throughout. When the breath and surat (conscious attention) are combined, that is the first experience of the Word (Primordial Sound). When the breath and surat are in conjunction, vibrations are generated and one experiences sensation of reverberating sound at the navel center. The navel ‘lotus’ lights up and twang of the Word is heard. One starts on the journey to own real abode, leaving behind the uproar of thoughts/conceptions. As one joins attention to the flow of breath from moment to moment, one experiences ecstasy of the Word (Radiant Resonance). The breath resounds with all the time. Understanding this secret leads to crossing over. (Success achieving / emancipation) The air we breath is manifestation of Braham – the Supreme Being; indeed full treasure of spiritual knowledge and contemplation. In Part Conclusion: Watch the movement of breath and repeat the Name (of the Lord) along with it. Then the Limitless, Everpresent / Ever witnessing will be perceived within. When the breath and attention are joined together and the mind merges with them, the resonant Word with brilliance of billions of suns – shines within. On hearing the Word, the mind is drowned in delight; rising above desires it achieves a state of supreme. There is no Yoga beyond it; enjoy the essence arising from the togetherness of the breath and Word. Ida Pingala Sukhmana, Chakras and Kundalini As one focuses attention on the track of breath within, the dormant coiled kundalini is easily activated. Ida, Pingula and Sukhmana (the left, right and central channels) meet above the point between the two eye brows. Sushmana or Sukhmana is the main nadi in the very centre of the spine. It is the passage through which Kundalini Energy rises. The two ganglionic chains – main nadis – are on the either side of the spinal cord: ida on the left and Pingula on the right – also called Chandra (moon or cool) and Surya (sun or hot) Nadi respectively) In the portion of the body below the throat called - the pind – there are two types of currents, the incoming breath is cool while the outgoing breath is hot, their respective proportion being 16 and 12 ‘fingers’ (a sort of measure). This indicates a pair of opposites which has to be balanced. On stirring the exhalation and inhalation, the Sukhmana the central channel, gets filled up with air. With the Sukhmana filled with Air, the primordial Resonnance will then rise up and break the fort of illusion. When the mind and breath mingle into one, the reverberating sound rises through the Sukhmana to the top of the head where it resounds. The sound primordial while going up pierces through six chakras (plexsuses), and passing through the trikuti (the mid centre of the two eyes) it goes up the apex of head. Elixir: From the navel centre (likened to a lotus) elixir drops and gets filled in the Sukhmana. When the breath is going out let it pull up the base of the spinal cord squeezing the navel centre comfortably, thus the dormant serpent power will get activated and release the flow of the elixir. In the unfathomable interior burst ‘the pot’ containing the elixir; (emitting) light of nonparallel brilliancy. Hail to the elixir flowing, a rare guru-orientated person can drink it in. (Evidently there is a mysterious connection between the source, its pumping up, its storage, and then its pouring down. It seems a symbolic description of something highly precious within us of which were are oblivious. Only a highly realised Yogi could possibly experience and explain it). On opening of the Sukhmana the Word awakens (becomes more perceptible) within. One is fortunate in achieving this state, following the advice from some Realised Soul. Thousands petalled lotus (top of the head) blooms up; surat (conscious attention) plays with nad (celestial sound). A glimpse of the Final State of Bliss The automatic reverberation of the unbroken primordial Divine Sound (Nad) within goes on day and night; it remains constantly perceptible, permeating the mind completely. Consciousness loses itself in the throb of primordial resonance and one attains emancipation, shedding of all illusions. While seated on earth, with Surat focused in the Kapal (top of head), one experiences knowledge of emancipation, as the Divine Word arises, and there is intense radiance. In this state the individual consciousness merges with the universal consciousness. Surat on absorption in Divine radiant resonance rises to the zone of dead silence (inside the head). Then the Creator, Lord of the Universe, is visible. One recognising the Word within, the mind enters the state of void complete silence. Thus is our true-self full of immense bliss. 18. I have been doing some reading online whether there is a difference between Anhad and the medical conditional known as Tinnitus. On meditation forums people are stating Tinnitus and Anhad sounds are one and the same thing. Learning to focus on these sounds takes you into deeper states of meditation.
  19. Have noticed over the past few days the anhad sounds in the right ear are becoming more and more prominent. Last night I could hear them all night long to the extent they actually kept me awake all night. For the first time I could hear two at the same time. one was a kind of harmonic sound that I've posted before and the other one was more subtle constant tone. Tried to put my dhyan on those but found it very difficult. Could only last a few seconds before my mind would get tired and wonder. If you think focusing on Gurmantar is hard wait until you try and focus on anhad sounds. For the record I kept on doubting and was beginning to think the sound is a device in my house our coming from walls. Last week I stayed in a hotel over night and I could hear the same harmonic sound there as well. It is therefore definitely something internal I'm hearing or my ear drum has a problem. Self doubt seems to be one of the biggest obstacle I seem to be constantly facing. Even though a number of mahapursh keep on confirming to me what is happening is genuine I still doubt. Why????? Waheguru ji make this dubda go away. Maybe I just don't appreciate the blessing guru ji is bestowing. Like a mahapursh once said the pyaar is still kacha.
