  1. what is this "wow" being talked about?
  2. do you know any of the men in the background ?
  3. http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?Sour...&Line_No=48 Arjan (Dev) transformed himself into Harigobind and sat majestically. Now the Sodhi lineage has started and they all will show their selves turn by turn. The Sikhs prayed and asked that they have seen the six Gurus (how many more are to come) . The true Guru, the knower of the unknowable and seer of the invisible told the Sikhs to listen to. The lineage of the Sodhis have been established on the sound foundation. Four more Gurus will come to earth (yuga 2, yuga 2 i.e. 2+2=4) -Bhai Gurdass vaara i had it explained like this: the remaining 4 Gurus were all linked to each other by father-son relation.. Guru Har Rai was the father of Guru Har Krishan Maharaj, and the later two Guru Maharajs Guru Tegh Bahadur was the father of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj...therefore we have 2 categories of Gurus,....
  4. does it not mean that the Guru(in form of the Panj Pyare) will come and bless the person with Khande da Amrit?
  5. were baba fareed and thee other bhagats of Siri Guru Granth SAhib maharaj muslims and hindues, or where they sikhs?
  6. The sword was given to Prophet Muhammad during a battle, and he passed it on to Muhammad, whereas they won the war. the sword was later on passed on to the next imam, and dissappeared with Imam Hussein who will return with it some day..
  7. Very amazing.. seeing the weapons of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj gave me chills this can not be the sword of Imam Ali as his famous Dhulfiqar sword as his sword was double egded like this:
  8. Does this verse not contradict and critisice the Khalsa rule of not eating Jhoota? "The mother is impure, and the father is impure. The fruit they produce is impure. Impure they come, and impure they go. The unfortunate ones die in impurity. Tell me, O Pandit, O religious scholar, which place is uncontaminated? Where should I sit to eat my meal? The tongue is impure, and its speech is impure. The eyes and ears are totally impure. The impurity of the sexual organs does not depart; the Brahmin is burnt by the fire. The fire is impure, and the water is impure. The place where you sit and cook is impure. Impure is the ladle which serves the food. Impure is the one who sits down to eat it. Impure is the cow dung, and impure is the kitchen square. Impure are the lines that mark it off. Says Kabeer, they alone are pure, who have obtained pure understanding."
  9. on shiva: Though Mahadev was an ascetic of high order but being full of ignorance he could not even identify yoga. http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?Sour...&Line_No=09
  10. Visnu incarnated ten times and decimated his opposing warriors. The incarnations in the forms of fish, tortoise, swine, man-lion, dwarf and Buddha etc. have happened. Parsu Ram, Ram, Kisan and very much proud incarnation of Kalki have flourished. Ram was hero of Ramayan, and kisan was all in the mahabharat. But the lust and anger were not sublimited and greed, infatuation and ego were not eschewed. None remembered the true Guru (God) and nobody benefited himself in the holy congregation. All acted arrogantly being full of evil propensities. http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?Sour...&Line_No=08 is it not a huge accusation, to say that the ram vishnu etc lost to kam krodh lobh moh hankaar etc?
  11. i find it funny that a khalsa cant marry out of khalsa, and eat jhoota from a non-khalsa, if we regard all people as equal and see the same divine jyot in all.....
  12. so this form of discrimination is okay, aslong as one does not think one is superior due to birth in a brahmin family?? The Gurus did not criticice the fact that they thouhgt they were pure and others were not, but rather critisised the fact that it was only because they were born brahmins?
  13. it is actually a serious question....why does Gurbani critisise brahmins because they dont want to eat along with non-brahmins, while khalsa's do not eat along with non-khalsa either? how come a khalsa cant marry a girl who is not khalsa, the same way a brahmin can only marry a brahmin etc etc....
  14. i was wondering.. Gurbani critisices the caste system numerous times, but then i thought.... the Khalsa also follows same "rules" as brahmins..the khalsa does not eat jhoota from non-khalsas, and they do not marry outside the khalsa either...is this not just another caste then? Brahmins do not marry out of their caste either, and they do not eat jhoota from non-brahmins either...
  15. by saying krishna and vishnu are avatars, and at the same time say they were into maya, is contradicting..how can an avatar, image of God, be into maya?
  16. some references: All the gods and goddesses are enticed by Maya. (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 227) She has bewitched Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Only those Gurmukhs who are attuned to the Naam are blessed. ||2|| (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 394) Through Brahma, the hymns of the Vedas were revealed, but the love of Maya spread. The wise one, Shiva, remains absorbed in himself, but he is engrossed in dark passions and excessive egotism. ||2|| Vishnu is always busy reincarnating himself - who will save the world? The Gurmukhs are imbued with spiritual wisdom in this age; they are rid of the darkness of emotional attachment. ||3|| (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 559) The Vedas do not know His greatness. Brahma does not know His mystery…. Shiva does not know His mystery. The gods gave grown weary of searching for Him. (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 894) here are links to other mocks: http://www.searchsikhism.com/hind11.html http://www.searchsikhism.com/hind10.html
  17. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa; Waheguru ji ki Fateh. i was wondering..why does Gurbani critisice and mock hindu avatars as krishna, shiva, ram etc...i dont remember the references, but it says that they are filthy, that they made mistakes, they made errors etc... i will find the references later
  18. none of the old eye witness account and puratan books say that Guru Jee took amrit from panj pyare....they all say he took Amrit himself...
  19. http://www.sikhawareness.com/sikhawareness...ri&start=90 i have just spend the last 5 hours reading this debate..their arguments seem to be strong and valid.... are there any sikh, muslim, hindu or any other independant sources mentioning the Gurgaddi being given to the Guru Granth Sahib? im not doubting the Granth to be my Guru at all, but i would still like to see it
  20. i was browsing through the net to find out more about the naamdhari sikhs, and found this: http://namdhari.faithweb.com/granthpanth.htm on this page, they try to refuse that Guru Maharaj ever gave Gurgaddi to the Guru Granth Sahib, and they use this verse to proove that there HAS to be a human Guru at all times: The Word, the Bani is Guru, and Guru is the Bani. Within the Bani, the Ambrosial Nectar is contained. If His humble servant believes, and acts according to the Words of the Guru's Bani, then the Guru, in person(partakh), emancipates him. ||5|| the word partakh means: SGGS Gurmukhi-English Dictionary Adv. (from Sk. Pratyaksha) visible, obviour, evient, perceptible, clear, overt http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.d...%A8%96%E0%A8%BF how do one refuse these claims? i was searching through the books at the local Gurdwara recently, and also found a book by Dalip Singh called Guru Gobind Singh and Khalsa discipline, but it said Gurgaddi was only given to the Khalsa, and slammed Banda Bahadur Singh, so a friend of mine took it from me and told the Gurdwara librarian to throw it out..
