  1. ਤਾ ਕੇ = and then ਤੀਰ =completed ਭਾਵਰੈ =circumambulate ਦੀਨੀ ॥ = was done Usually we think of the word ਤੀਰ meaning arrow but it also means to complete something. Let's go with pauper. Yes, I used prevented in the previous sentence. The lines are telling us that the essence/purpose of the fire changed. It was the same fire, but now it was not a funeral pyre but a wedding fire. That's a new one to me. Have never really thought of fire being the same. A little weird actually.
  2. Yes, I don't understand where the 3 and the 4 numbers come into the translation either. This is what I understand from the above lines (I have tried to keep it as literal as possible) : ਬਰਤਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਤੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਉਬਾਰੋ ॥ ਮੋ ਸੋ ਨ ਤਨ ਕੋ ਜਾਰੋ ॥੨੦॥ (I will) save her from the flaming fire to prevent her being burned for me ||20|| ਚਿਤਾ ਅਗਨਿ ਜੋ ਸਤੀ ਜਗਾਈ ॥ ਬਿਰਹਾਨਲ ਸੋਈ ਠਹਿਰਾਈ ॥ The funeral pyre which the sati has lit from separation was stopped ||21|| Now here I have translated "ਠਹਿਰਾਈ " as stopped. By this I mean to say as it apparent from the following lines, the purpose of the fire was changed from funeral (sad occasion) to wedding (happy occasion). The act of circumulation was then completed (around the fire) From this method the lowly became elevated/ Or the poor became rich. ||21||

  4. A lot of this charitar focuses on the relationship between Raja Durjan and the princess, into quite some detail at times. I can't see much more than it being a charitar that focuses on intense love between partners, jealousy of others, and the ruse used to escape. The intense love between the couple is apparent, and the princess cannot hold her tongue about it. However her good news is not appreciated by everyone, and there will usually be someone jealous of the situation. This is a lesson that we should all learn, that envy can breed resentment and jealousy. Another thing that came to me, and some of you may well laugh at this. The escape plan involved two birds (ducks). The couple used the skins of the ducks and put them on their heads so they could cross a river to safety. It would look like two ducks drifting through the water. This took me back to an episode of....wait for it....Blackadder! When Blackadder needs to escape from jail, Baldrick brings him as part of an escape kit, a duck. Baldrick then explains that "if you were to come across some water you could balance it on your head as a disguise," lols.
  5. Generally it is to do with status. it can be used to describe wealth as well, but in this context it seems to be more with status.

  7. It does have a large proportion of the charitar devoted to a yudh. Reading this charitar 2 themes came to mind. The first is that of sacrifice and the second is that of realisation. For the first, the woman who is offered to the King as a bride, seeing that the King rejects her, prepares to end her life. But note, she doesn't do it quietly or out of sight. She determines which way the Royal entourage will be travelling and creates a funeral pyre close to that path. The King sees that she is ready to kill herself over her rejection and seeing her devotion to him marries her. The second part is when the King measures her devotion to him against his existing queens and sees that none amongst them would die of separation from him. This realisation brings him to reconsider his rejection of her, thinking that she possesses an attribute his existing queens don't. A final line that stands out for me is line 21. Bindra hasn't even translated the word " ਰਾਂਕ" from the line " ਰਾਂਕ ਹੁਤੀ ਰਾਨੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੀਨੀ ॥੨੧॥ " meaning that from the "lowest" the woman rose to the highest.
  8. Yeah, it's like one Apsara finishing what the other had a hand in starting. The story does end on the sense of divine justice always winning. Another thing that occured to me was the notion of Urvashi/Mohan not obeying the demand from Prabhavati to see her at her place but rather for Prabhavati to come to Mohan abode instead. This has something to do with sanskriti of how not to misbehave in someone's abode or protocols to be followed in others abodes. Urvashi meaning according to an article on wiki: "Urvashi (Sanskrit: उर्वशी, lit. 'she who can control heart of others')[a] is an apsara in Hindu legend. Monier Monier-Williams proposes a different etymology in which the name means 'widely pervasive' and suggests that in its first appearances in Vedic texts it is a name for the dawn goddess. She was a celestial maiden in Indra's court and was considered the most beautiful of all the Apsaras. " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urvashi
  9. Did you notice how the two charitars also started from Indar lok and ended there? Both charitars involve the apsara's.
  10. No they aren't. The bajrang janta parishad who defend and protect rapists and killers...they are HUMANS to you? Is it as sad as you claiming to be a hindu and calling other people as murderers? You are not a Sikh. You certainly aren't a hindu. True hindus who lived by the divine guidance of the Bhagawad Gita could never do those things. You are a rakhsas. And you talk about kalank, lol.
  11. Good riddance. Hope you never inflict your propaganda on any other Sikh forum again.
  12. You certainly spoke like you were! Now you are asked to back up your false statements with proof you want to talk about legalities. The media never lies does it. Well you certainly gave that impression with your verdict on jaggi didn't you? No im calling them the ravan sena.
  13. You reap what you sow. You have posted the most vile lie on this forum everytime you have inflicted yourself on us. I'm no saint. I call a spade a spade, and I will call a liar a liar. And that's why you keep coming back like some kind of parasite. You can keep posting your lies here. But you won't get away with it. It still won't be a cheap as the terrorist fascist state you call a "motherland". You are a kalunk in whole. Only kalunkis lie. And protect murderers. Well you are meaningless yourself. Discussions? There's no discussions here? Its just propaganda thrown around by you.
  14. Amongst other things. ALL true. Articles? Where's the proof? Those articles are not proof. You said quite clearly that Bhindranwale was a spy for the congress. Where's the proof. Not copy and paste articles. Proof. You "consider" ? You consider that jaggi is a murderer without any proof or conviction. By the same vein you must be a spy for the bajrangi terrorist brigade. You are propping up their lies and excusing their crimes on this forum.
  15. Why not? It's the truth isn't it. You are a cheap whore. Your brazen comments about how jaggi is a murderer when his case hasn't even gone to court yet is an example of good manners and friendliness? Cheap whores like yourself, will always cry victim when they are exposed and try to hide the truth under the cloak of manners and gender violence. You won't get away with it all the time. For you and your murdering comrades maybe. But for the widows and orphans of 1984, and the families of those thousands killed by ravan sena in Panjab those days are not gone. You are such a vile person. I'm glad your not a sikh anymore. They were and still are a PART of it. I didn't need to. Until he has been convicted he will always be innocent in the eyes of the law. My comments are based on basic human rights. The same rights you were whinging about earlie. God you are so vile. Who said anything about hindus? I didn't. I know that there are sikhs and muslims who side with the indian fascist state. But being the cheap whore that you are, you try to turn this into a hindu thing. I don't know about pragya case, but you being the venomous snake you are, have already made up your mind that for me she " she doesn't matter". You vile cheap whore.
  16. Our thinking is off? Anyone who says this shows their imbecility. Just for this lie you should be banned from this forum. There is no proof that either country funded Khalistan movement. Statements from those involved directly state otherwise. But why would the truth matter to you? You need all the dirt you can get to make yourselves look clean. Rajiv was cremated according to hindu rites. His family practice a mix of both catholocism and hinduism. More lies. Another propaganda piece from the terrorist bajrangis. The murder of Jaswant Singh Khalra showed how much respect? Yes you have. you can deny it but by defending those who have murdered and raped, you are doing exactly that. If you had an ounce of decency you would never had tried to whitewash the initial crimes of the congress and then the failures of the bajrang janta parishad to uphold justice. You called jaggi a murderer which then makes others not feel any empathy for his torture at the hands of the ravan sena. You violated jaggi's basic human to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. That didn't stop you violating his basic human right, so only YOU can answer why would anyone support human rights violations? She was named as an accomplice in alqaida and tried to shoot american soldiers. Reading about her life she was an active combatant in the al qaida war against america. You would never defend someone like this. You only do so because it helps your web of deceit in making the indian govt look like they are not the only ones who abuse people's human rights. This alone tells us that you are nothing more than a cheap whore. You have proved that again. We don't need cheap whores on this forum.
  17. This is why you get called a cheap whore. I never said Jaggi was innocent. I said that jaggi had the universal human right to be presumed innocent UNTIL proven guilty. Your fascist state has NOT managed to do that even after keeping him in jail for 3 years and torturing him. If your fascist masters cannot prove him guilty after 3 years then that tells me something. If they had any evidence on Jaggi they would have produced it a long time ago and sentenced him. Lol.
