All the sampradays have members in the sgpc (buddha dal, nirmalas...)
Please list any members you know.
8 hours ago, Sajjan_Thug said:Couldn't each of the sampradays send their own parcharaks individually to visit pak and take care of gurdwara for the short time they visit?
No because the visas are all issued through the SGPC and no-one can just go and take control/care of any buildings there.

I haven't been on it for ages. I didn't know it had changed since.

Can only be a good thing.

Have Budha Dal Nihang Singhs been informed of this, maybe they can send a Dal to help run the Gurdwara?
Sorry to say brother, but you seem to be very optimistic of Buddha Dal's reach and capabilities. They can, and have done nothing. But does that surprise you? In the last 2 years Gurdwara Dongmar in Sikkim (India) has been taken over by Budhists, yet no Buddha Dal there.
The only 2 organisations that can do anything is SGPC and PSGPC. However the PSGPC is extremely weak, although the they have registered a case in Pakistan to get it back, but that, as in India, takes years. It's already been 4 years and no development.
The only way is to highlight it, whenever and wherever we can.
8 hours ago, Sajjan_Thug said:Do any puratan sampraday do parcher in pakistan?
Unfortunately no, because SGPC controls all parcharaks from Panjab who go there, which means that no Samprdai has any influence ther.

That's a very easy way of letting ourselves off the hook.
No-one is letting anyone of the hook, least of all ourselves.
2 hours ago, dalsingh101 said:Oh, they are worse than us, so it's okay.
They are worse than us, that can never be disputed but the whole scenario is not as black and white as that. The fact is that on the whole across India, Dalits in Panjab have a much better existence than Dalits outside Panjab.
2 hours ago, dalsingh101 said:Mate, we're having problems with hordes of apnay convert to xtianity in Panjab itself.
And what are they given to convert? The missionaries say "we will pay your school fees, for healthcare and for food" etc but they still receive little of what is promised.
Just like how the Congress and BJP have promised them "atta and daal" schemes but ended up giving them nothing.
My village is full of Christians who know nothing about Christianity, they are there for the few free things they get. Like some eggs on a Sunday after service.
2 hours ago, dalsingh101 said:Inadequate parchaar is a big reason.
But that doesn't affect just Dalits. Thats a whole other issue affecting the Panth.
2 hours ago, dalsingh101 said:An inability to resonate with the day to day lives and needs of people.
And so is this. There are so many poor jat sikhs. Probably more jats kill themselves in one year than Dalits kill themselves in a decade in Panjab.

No one denies that, it does happen, and still happens. But nowhere on the scale on what happens in other states. Read that article and look at the statistics.
I'm reminded of a friend of mine from a long time, a chamar, with a heart of gold really, was telling me about the time he and his brother went to Benaras, to see the birthplace of Bhagat Ravidas Ji, and how astounded he was at the treatment of dalits in that area.
16 hours ago, dalsingh101 said:They would have naturally gravitated towards Sikhi had this not been the case.
But why have the dalits in UP, who have been on the receiving end of some appalling and brutal treatment by the high-caste hindus, not left Hinduism and embraced Sikhi then?

Infact many believe there was secret alliance of BJP and BSP that BJP will not touch corruption cases against Mayawati while she will not actively do politics.
Dalits are hardcore hindus whilst the hardcore hindus are in power. They follow and align with the power to save themselves. Quite simply the BJP will have promised to give the Dalits something extra alng the lines of Panjab Congress Party "atta and daal" scheme, and in reality give them nothing once they have secured their votes.
You can read about this here:
To claim that Dalits are somehow footsoldiers in the Hindutva army is a stretch of the imagination that is given colour by our India-loving Sikh traitors.
3 hours ago, dalsingh101 said:And our lot failed in this respect by treating them exactly how Gurmat says we shouldn't.
Don't beleive this hindutva tool.
Dalits are on the receiving end of high caste violence every single day. Every single day.
Read this article and look at the statistics:

Only way to benefit from a conflict is ally with any number of groups weaker or comparable to you, or stand alone. Joining any side stronger than you delivers you to them.
If you can't get out.
If you can, then you have to weigh it, but you probably should if you have a safe way to get to a safe space.
This reminds me of listening to Panth Parkash granth lately of how Adina Beg came to the Sikhs and asked them to ally with him to fight Abdali, as well as forming an alliance with the Marhattas. A tripartite pact was agreed with the Sikhs easily being the smallest party. The Marhattas reneged on their pact but luckily Sikhs withdrew from the camp before Marhattas managed to attack them.

Dalits.
On 6/2/2022 at 2:26 PM, GurjantGnostic said:This is why Sikhs need allies outside of hindustan and pakistan.
And only can ally with people worse off but worth it in those places.
And who is there that will ally with the Sikhs? Most people around the world haven't heard of us or our troubles in Panjab/India.
If you think about it, we Sikhs couldn't do anything to save Afghani Sikhs since 1992.

Yes it's refering to Ajit Singh Palit. I didn't know that he was given Darbar Sahib by the Emperor Bahadur Shah.

Bhagwant Maan was a very good comedian of his time though, so he some talent lol. He has given up comedy a long time ago though. Possibly 20 years.
On 3/10/2022 at 3:45 PM, Premi said:@kdsingh80 what do you think about AAP getting power in Panjab?
How do you see this for Sikhs/Sikhi in Panjab, and what do you think could be the pros and cons, especially if compared with previous governments?
For Sikhs/Sikhi hopefully it will be a neutral rule. Congress and BJP wants to destroy Sikhs, Akali Dal Badal are destroying Sikhs in the grab of being its protectors.
For AAP, I think they will be neutral, neither causing any harm to Sikhs, but most definitely not supporting any aspirations of autonomy for Panjab as per pre-partition pledges.
I am personally hoping that Sikhs of Panjab will ask two cases to be re-opened under Maan's CM-ship -
1. the murder of Jaswant Singh Khalra by Panjab Police
2. the murder of Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kounke by Panjab Police
Neither Amarinder Singh or Badal did anything about these two murders whilst they were in power. Badal promised to hold an inquest in Kounke's case but then reneged on that once he became CM.
I think Sikhs should be glad that both frankenstiens are gone and at least give Maan some time to see where he tries to take Panjab. I hope that Maan sees that democracy has taken him to the chair of CM and that he also doen't use force to silence the freedom of speech that democracy gives when it comes to Sikhs of Panjab.
On 3/10/2022 at 7:08 PM, kdsingh80 said:So it's going to be secular rule in Punjab.
This secular rule is what nehru purported to uphold in india whilst acting against the Sikhs all the time. He only lightened up after the bravery and sacrifice of the Sikhs during the Indo-China war. This secularism is nothing but a hoax in this indian state. I hope that Bhagwant Maan's vision of secular is actually secular.

Assassinated by the Paki Taliban.
Bhutto caused the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands of Sikhs as well, giving the Indian govt information on those Sikhs who had gone to Pakistan, and enforcing their return to India.
The Future Of Gurdwaras In Pakistan
in General Discussion

What have the 5 takhts been able to do for Gurdwara Dongmar, Sikkim, which was taken over 2 years ago by a Buddhist gang?
Or even Gurdwara Gyan Godri, where Guru Nanak Dev Ji "fed" his fields with Ganges water?
What about Gurdwara Arti Sahib, where Guru Nanak composed his famous Arti? Taken over in Orissa 2 years ago?
Having your own asthaans doesn't equate to reach or influence.
Buddha Dal has a biscuit factory that I'm aware of.
So the burning question is, why haven't they?
