  1. Shaheediyan and Tonyhp32, at the bottom of the hierarchy of being, looked up to see who was above them. Blinded by the light emerging from the higher beings they wondered about who could possibly be above them. They noticed two lights. They recognised one to be Bahadur and then Shaheediyan then shouted out: "if there is one person lower than Bahadur, its Singho"
  2. That's an old story mate. Setareh didn't need to ask her father because I had already bought her as a slave from Lalu Ram.
  3. Not so sure about that but if you're happy believing that consider it my xmas gift.
  4. Tonyhp32 wrote: "Another escapee from the lunatic asylum no doubt." Is that your full name? wow, I didn't know you could write it in separate words. Impressive.
  5. Thanks for correcting my south-holish. I always appreciate the help of a native.
  6. It's not me, trust me. But I do know the author and I share the same ideas. The world isn't limited to this forum.
  7. Matheen wrote: "Probably existed in some form in the Indus Valley civilisations (the oldest formal settlements ever found - in the Pakistani side of Punjab)." We have no evidence to show that pahlavani has anything to do with the Indus valley. In fact what the Indus valley actually was is still an issue of debate among Indologists. Sure is that Pahlavani has its roots in the Sassanid period and maybe beyond, this of course based on records we have about the ecucation of the Sassanid chivalric nobility.
  8. Shaheediyan wrote: "Well, looks like Christmas (an ancient Persian festival) has come early for you! I assure you, most members of this forum see you as nothing less." I know but then again I am not here to be popular either or to be liked by you. But I am quite comfortable with the idea of being a dog.
  9. Shaheediyan wrote: "Zoology is actually one my areas of interest, so thanks for the unnecessary concern. If it satisfies your snobbery, then feel free to accept the more refined compliment of being classified as Scarabaeinae." Thanks for the intention but I prefer to be seen as a dog.
  10. Dr. Harjit Singh Gill, the famous linguist from Jawaharlal Nehru University, wrote a really good article on the subject. I'll try and scan it.
  11. Shaheediyan wrote: "I have dragged nobodys name through the mud except yours you conniving little Jackel. I still have respect for Carney and his family as I always had. You are the idiot that started this topic and now you are the one crying and wanting to go to PM. You should have thought about PMs when you got so desperate as to starting the subject in the open. We have spoken about this before, so why did you decide to bring it up NOW, after we have been having exchanges over this forum for months? Because you are a desprate little cockroach who will stoop to any level to save face - even if that means using your perverted/twisted little mind to come up with a pathetic judgement based on nothing other than your sordid imagination. You are the one dragging your friends good name through mud, not me. Pathetic, shouldn't expect anything less really from a re-re-retard, sorry revert. Now we can digress." If cockroaches are the only animals you know then I pray that one day you may step outside your doorstep to realise there is a great variety of fauna and flora out there.
  12. This is a joke. Why not a Catholic, Jewish, Muslim or even Jehova's Witnesses regiment when we are at it. This is ridiculous.
  13. Actually this isn't me, although I agree with the author.
  14. Shaheediyan wrote: "Just out of interest, not that I doubted it's age, but the tradition in Persia stems (at the least) from the times of the original writing of the famous Shahnama" Actually older given the fact that the Shahnameh was written during the Islamic period.
  15. Tonyhp32 wrote: "Sunni-Shia-Wahabi-Ismaili, they are all the same deep down, one can be more extreme than the other but all are dangerous to non-Muslims around the world" In de South-hole joo call dem all sullah dat is vhy for joo its all same like all kaale for joo are jameki. Joo are great escholar of Sullism.
  16. One of Niddar's close students swore Akali Baba Surjit Singh said but I have heard it from other sources. and who are you anyways?
  17. If you have a personal problem with me then use pm instead of using every single post of yours for your little vendetta games.
  18. If you have a personal problem with me then use pm instead of using every single post of yours for your little vendetta games. Back to yug dharma
  19. Well ask Akali Baba Baba Surjit Singh then unless you want to call him a liar. There is a SOAS thesis coming out soon about how Nihangs were sent to Afghanistan by Ranjit Singh to rape Afghan women. We'll see how you react to that. And yes the author of it is a Sikh.
  20. Shaheediyan wrote: "Funny how you only remembered it offended you today Sherlok. For your information, I addressed her once, over a year ago, when her son died, when she contacted me in grief. Now get over it, move on and stop being a judgemental perverted sensationalising drama queen." 1. You're talking about my late dear friend who died under tragic circumstances 2. It's easy for you to move on but for his close friends and family it isn't. I'll leave it to that. I have no desire to get the memory of my late friend mixed in your disgusting little slime games. You play Mr Izzat when I just mention your imaginary kids in an imaginary situation yet you have no shame in dragging my friend's name in the mud with your "kabhi khushi kabhi gham" slime game of one upmanship. And you continue lying when you talk about Pahlavani etc You make me want to puke.
  21. Shaheediyan wrote: "As for your fairytale examples, kindly don't ever mention my family again - be it an overly imaginative demonstration to 'make me understand'." Then kindly refrain from slime acts such as calling my late friend's mother you "own mother", a person you never met in real life and barely knew for two months over the internet. As for my example: Set the slaves free without training so that they can survive in life with just 15 years of work experience consisting in cleaning the stables of Lalu Ram's buffaloes? That's stupidty not kindness.
  22. 1. Given the fact that Hinduism is a recent phenomenon let's talk about the literature that actually deals with the concept of Yug Dharma. From a stricly jurisprudential perspective Shaktas, Shaivas, Vaishnavas and Smartas agree that the common law is to be based on the Dharma Shastras which implies the varnashrama system under the protection of a monarchy. This means that for jurisprudential and social matters the Dharmashatras such as the Mansmriti are to be followed except of course for the sadhus who live outside of society and to whom the laws don't apply. In terms of dharma being understood as a religious system it differs. Vaishnavas will say that each Yuga has its specific religious practices and that in Kaliyuga nama japa of Hari is the hight form of religion. See for example the Kalisamtaranopanishad. Kashmiri Shaivas on the other hand simply say that the esoteric path they follow has always been the same and that the number of people unable to understand it have just increased in Kaliyuga. As such practices haven't changed for them.So it differs. All in all the idea that every yuga has its own dharma is a very Vaishnava idea.
  23. Thank you Matheen. I have the opportunity to visit the Sport's Museum of Patiala and the section on wrestling is simply impressive. It is true that Iranians have excellent wrestlers but Panjab, from what I have seen has had excellent ones too.
  24. Shaheediyan wrote: "Lol, I was takling about real Pehlvani not the circus act you posted. More specifically about 'traditional/ancient' methods of training, rather than the modern stuff which is popular in Iran today. Anyways, sorry to have hurt your feelings, it was a slight exaggeration, but you should be used to the concept of 'exaggerations' by now, going by 99% of your claims." The "modern stuff which is popular in Iran" today? The co called circus acted is actually an integral part of the zurkhaneh practices among which wrestling is an essential part. The whole thing is extremely ritualised and you what you saw in the link I gave is what is practiced before the pahlavanan actually wrestle. As for "exagerated claims", I think that a person like you who had the besharmi of calling my friend's mother your own mother in the most disgusting slime act of history. My friend whom you have know for only two months over the internet and who repeatedly complained to me about that the fact that you "just didn't get it". Please keep you accusations to yourself.
